Didn't live up to the hype for me. I do have to admit the weather was a contributing factor; rough seas over and back, cold, windy, misty/rainy/foggy, etc. But, still a disappointment unless you're into casinos. If you've ridden on a fast-ferry anywhere in the world, seen a church, seen a tourist-trap shopping "historical" plaza, you've pretty much "seen" Macau. Best part of the whole day was the lunch and our guide - a real character.

We travelled by Jet Boat from Hong Kong to Macau on a Grey Line tour. The service was excellent, light meal and drink provided during the trip. We were met on arrival and with the local guide tkane on a walking tour of the "old city areas" - a lot of history with the old buildings. Lunch was provided in the Macau Tower complex - 300 metres high with views of China. We were then taken to visit several of the 39 Casinos. We elected to visit the Venetian complex on our own tour, You could spend a day in the complex on its own. They had a courtesy bus back to the ferry terminal for the return trip to Hong Kong..

Very prompt pick up and good communication even before pick up. Then we were put on the ferry very instructions you need your passport and the white immigration form you got on arrival.
Then a new guide met us lovely chap very chatty. We did a fort and a couple of temples so some older stuff then went for lunch at a hotel which is provided then some shopping and a look round the casinos so a little free time. This does nit include where the Venetian is but we did see the Wynne so you sort get half. It’s a good trip but lots of walking we did 11k steps and it’s very hot but had a great time really glad we did this thanks to Patrick our guide very good

You can get a free ride on shuttle bus from the ferry terminus to The Venetian to start with. From there catch a shuttle to Lisboa. From Lisboa you can walk all the way to St.Paul's and back. And finally ask the Lisboa doorman to put you on a shuttle back to the ferry.

We had a day trip to Macau for 12 people, and China Highlights made the experience easy and fun. They organized a hotel pickup, ferry tickets to Macau (a comfortable hour-long journey) and a a local guide in Macau who took us to several top attractions: ruins of St. Paul, Macau Museum (highly recommended), buffet lunch at a hotel, A-Ma Temple (also highly recommended) and some free time at the casinos (or you can wander around the cultural district for beautiful pedestrian streets instead). It turns out to be a busy and fast-paced day, trying to do everything in a few hours, but it's a good way to get a taste. The guides in both Hong Kong and Macau were nice and energetic (Frederick and Patrick). Thanks so much!

Hi.. We are staying at the Royal Garden Hotel on Tsimshatsui east and would like to take a day trip to Macau . Is there a public transport service from Tsimshatsui East, Kowloon to the Macau ferry terminal . It appears from Google maps that it would take a walk of 47 minutes and also include taking a ferry across to ferry point. I would prefer to use public transport or tram/ light rail
