Expensive hype!!
Mar 2019
I went to the restaurant after visiting the famous Stanley Market. We travelled on a boat leading up to the restaurant. We took the lifts to the restaurant as one of our party had trouble walking. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated and another 15 minutes before someone came to take our order. We found the communication barrier frustrating. Food was OK but very salty. When we received the bill we realised we were billed for just coming to the restaurant and other anomalies added to bill. We didn't eat much so all in all it was very expensive.

Worth the costs!
Sep 2018 • Family
The directions to the location on the pier could be better. The cruise was very nice. It was difficult to hear the information being provided over the PA system. The dinner was an adventure. There was 7 courses, so even if you don't like an item, you have several more to choose from. It is family style, so everyone in the tour shares. The views from the Peak after dark were wonderful. The guide who provided information was very knowledgeable. This tour was worth it's cost.

Fun experience food just ok
Apr 2018 • Business
Boat ride and view to Jumbo is a fun experience, lots to see and take pictures of on the way to Jumbo. Outside and inside interesting decor, great picture opportunities and friendly staff. Food is not up to par compared to the other places we ate through out Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, more American style. Don't regret going for the overall experience.

Hong Kong sunset cruise plus dinner
Our guide, Steven, was very good and enthusiastic. But that was the only positive. The cruise was ordinary. Commentary was in halted English and the speakers were old technology that couldn’t be heard!!! As for Jumbo floating restaurant. It was terrible. Food was almost inedible and the staff are so bad and unfriendly. The lookout from half way up the peak was a waste of time as the trees blocked the view. Steven said the trees are protected so can’t be cut back!!! Why go there in the dark to see nothing. Do not fall for this 20th century tour.

good fun
Jan 2018 • Couples
We were picked up by boat at the harbour and our guide was really friendly. The boat was an authentic looking yellow boat and despite the cold we enjoyed the ride. Drinks were included but I dont think the bar tender appreciated that! Every time we went up for a drink he pointed to the tip box!
The jumbo restaurant is great for those of you who like to take photos! it looks spectacular! The atmosphere was great, the food good but we were a little rushed. We didnt realise that wed have to pay for our drinks at the restaurant but thats probably because we didnt read the small print!
All in all a good trip although a little pricey.
