David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center Full-Day Tour from Nairobi
From US$51.00
Overview
A tour to see the elephants at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the namesake animals at the Giraffe Centre are included on this tour from Nairobi that showcases Kenyan wildlife within city bounds. Flexible transportation makes this tour extra appealing, though. Choose to be dropped off at other top Nairobi attractions at no extra cost to continue your tour on your own, or go back to your hotel.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Nairobi lodging, head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a special organization that rehabilitates young orphaned elephants. Learn the stories behind how the elephants got there and how they will be cared for and released.

Then, continue to the Giraffe Centre, a nonprofit organization focused on environmental education. Learn about giraffes and see them in real life.

Finally, visit the Kazuri Beads Factory to learn how the popular beads are made from start to finish and how the organization supports single mothers in the community.

If you want to, you can ask your driver to drop you off at lunch or the Karen Blixen Museum at no extra cost, or ask to go to go to the Bomas of Kenya for an additional fee. Or, just get dropped off back at your Nairobi hotel.
