Our evening street food and walking tour with Kyaw was very interesting. It started at 5pm and finished around 8:30pm. We tried Mohinga, a variety of salads and tea, falouda, noodles with duck, and grilled fish. It was great to have a knowledgeable guide who took us to places we

Glad to hear you enjoyed all of the food and experience of the tour. Regarding the price of the tour we feel that considering the complete experience it is well worth the $35 to get such an in-depth insight into the cuisine, culture and history of Yangon and its food. We are conscious to ensure our customers get their moneys worth, having their appetite for food and information fully satisfied. Food costs will never be equal with the price of the tour but our passion and hours spent finding the most interesting, safe and delicious places together with the best guides and our connection with the vendors means we can offer a perspective that takes years to accumulate. Our breakfast tour is $30 if you want to explore the food for a cheaper price.

Thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and the food. Great way to learn about some of the street foods available and what to order. Was easily adapted for a vegetarian. It was more food than I ever imagined, and I definitely regretted eating lunch that day.

Glad the experience was interesting for you but sad you didn't feel 5star like most our guests do. Our clients appreciate how we share a unique and diverse cuisine from Yangon's hard working local street cooks. Our clients have ranged from backpackers to ambassadors who've enjoyed the authentic local food and experiences we serve up. Our owner (as an experienced and well traveled chef) handpicks all the eateries and vendors the tours visit. Alongside our team of guides (also some former chefs with international experience) work closely with vendors to ensure clients get a tasty, safe and well informed experience of Yangon street food and culture. Some risky stalls we'll stop at and happily explain but don't offer on the tour since we're looking out for guests health. Not sure of your definition of "proper places to eat"... But if you prefer pristine shopping mall food courts, charmless hawker centres or high-end restaurants, Yangon has many for a third world country but that's not the experience we aim to offer our customers. We offer an honest introduction to Yangon street food at busy, safe and tasty places popular with locals. Nice photo of Shwedagon Pagoda to accompany your review but nothing to do with our evening tour since our tour isn't in daylight and nowhere near the pagoda. Again, sorry this fascinating and glorious side of Yangon life wasn't for you.

I moved to Yangon recently, and did this tour at the end of my first month. It was amazing! Our guides were fantastic, one used to work at an upscale restaurant and knew his food inside out, all the food we had was delicious and I got to learn a lot of important history as well
