Jerusalem Three Religions Holy City Walking Tour

Select Date and Travellers
2 travellers
Discover Jerusalem’s Jewish, Islamic, and Christian sites on a walking tour that explores the city’s rich religious heritage, from the Dome of the Rock and Temple Mount to the Via Dolorosa. Get a fascinating perspective on thousands of years of history, spirituality, and conflict by experiencing Jerusalem through all three of the city’s major religions.
  • Three religions walking tour of Old City Jerusalem
  • See religious sites inside the city walls and beyond
  • Learn the ancient stories behind Jerusalem’s holy places
  • Great introduction to the Old City’s main landmarks
What to Expect
Meet a guide in the Old City and set out on foot toward Temple Mount, where the Dome of the Rock marks the place where the Prophet Mohammed is believed to have ascended to heaven. Learn how the site is sacred in Judaism from stories of the First Temple to Abraham’s sacrifice. Take in two other beautiful Islamic monuments—the Dome of the Chain and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Then, continue to the Western Wall, an important pilgrimage site for Jews. In the Christian Quarter, follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, retracing the route that Jesus is believed to have walked on the way to the crucifixion site. Outside the ancient walls, head to Mt. Zion, the 12-century Hall of the Last Supper, and the Tomb of King David, before finishing the tour in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City.

We had a wonderful guide named Amat. She gave us information on the city that we will use to return to many of the sites with a better understanding of the history. I recommend this tour as a good start to a Jerusalem experience.

This was an okay tour, I would rate it as average. While the sites are incredible, the tour guide was lacklustre. He was very funny, but very flippant and didn't have much information to provide. I thought he was quite funny, but the tongue-in-cheek attitude was a bit discordant
