- 619jeffry0 contributionsGolan view is certainly fascinatingThe views from the Golan Heights are amazing. You can see over Sea of Galilee, where the Golan Heights dominates the outlook. There are lots of strategic factors, including religion. The Golan Heights are in the north-east of Israel, it's well worth a tour.Written 12 February 2024

- blancahavila0 contributionsHorrible experience with ViatorHorrible tour to Valle de Guadalupe We bought a tour to Valle de Guadalupe, from a supposed “Tour company.” They sent us 4 people plus the driver in a 4 persons sedan car, my daughter had to go in the middle for 6 hours. The driver was talking on the phone back and forth, when I told him that I thought it was dangerous for us to do it, he said that he had a lot of experience driving 8 wheelers, so he didn't stop. I don't think it's allowed to take tourists this way. So unprofessional, didn't know anything about the area, he just transported us to the destination in the most uncomfortable and dangerous way. At the last point, the vineyard where they gave us a cheese board, he sat at our table and loudly talked on her cell phone, taking away the only pleasant experience of the entire day. What he did share with us, was all the dangerous places in the area. Although the driver tried, this company is not a professional tour company. We brought a bigger and safer truck, if we had known how bad it would be, we would have left on our own.Written 1 January 2024
- _saroshv0 contributionsBad experience! This tour was badly organized .First we waited outside the hotel for an hour before we were picked up .No one knew where to go .We thought we were finally starting the trip .But we were taken to this hilly top where we waited another hour in a dingy cafe . The tour was rushed as it was getting late .For lunch everyone is taken to this awful resturant with chaos ,substandard food and fighting crowds . Before going into the resturant you have to go thru a shop and they push coupons to you to buy super expensive products . Guide did not have much knowledge or rather one sided knowledge .We were rushed thru Masada which was the main attraction .I asked him a couple of questions breaking his monologue. He did not like it and was very rude . Do not take this tour .If you do bring your own food . It was a waste of money .Written 23 December 2023
- 619jeffry0 contributionsNatural beauty and historical sites in the HeightsThe Golan Heights is an area of outstanding natural beauty and intriguing historical sites It was captured from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967 and is now part of Israel. The Golan Heights is of great strategic importance, it has a commanding view of the northern Galilee. Apart from its military value, the Golan is a fertile agricultural region. The trip from Jerusalem to the Golan takes around two hours by car.Written 3 November 2023
- 619jeffry0 contributionsHoly sites appeal deeply to believersThe Western Wall, often called the Wailing Wall, is sacred to Jews; other denominations are also welcome. It is adjacent to the wall of the Second Temple, which is all that remains of the Temple. The 4th Century Church of the Sepulcher is the site where Christians traditionally gather to commemorate the site of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Sepulcher is also an important destination on the Via Dolorosa, Christ's Way of Suffering. These sites appeal deeply to believers.Written 2 November 2023
- sheri09150 contributionsThis is a wonderful tour and I pray that Israel be able to offer this again in the near future.Note: We went on this tour on 10/5, 36 hours before the Hamas attack. We really enjoyed the drive from Jerusalem and the stops that we made. Masada was a very interesting sight to behold. My only suggestion is to cut the time spent in Masada by about 30 minutes so you can spend that extra time at the Dead Sea. We got less than 30 minutes there, which was not enough. We floated in the sea for about five minutes and then had to get out and shower off to leave.Written 26 October 2023

- annamO2966LV0 contributionsDangerous and not reliableI was picked up 1 hour later from the hotel During the waiting hour I didn't receive any text or email saying if the tour is cancelled or I still will be picked up After one hour we where dropped off near Western wall and where regrouping again which took another hour During the drive the driver of the bus and the tour guide where discussing the current political citation in Israel (I think it was in Hebrew or Arabic ) and the driver while driving was showing YouTube clips to the guide It was in time of unrest in Israel before the terrorists attack by Hamas We were brought for lunch to overpriced cafeteria with horrible food where they had beef stew on display but served you meat balls The most horrible and unpleasant experience during my whole tripWritten 14 October 2023
- Vilma A0 contributionsTrip to masada and dead seaDan Porges was the best tour guide, he was very informative, this is our first tour in Jerusalem and we learned a lot from him. We really enjoyed this tour to masada and dead sea, everything was well organized, the ruins in masada national park are amazing, swimming in the dead sea was fun, we floated with no effort, science is proved with no doubt, we are happy we joined this tour.Written 13 October 2023

- jamiee7540 contributionsDan Porges was a great guide at MasadaGreat day, well-organized. The bus was not at the pick up hotel right when it was supposed to be, maybe 10 minutes late, which made us nervous, but they eventually arrived. Dan was a fun and knowledgable guide. The place where you go to the Dead Sea is a sort of private/public beach - a lot of stairs down to the sea, not the cleanest place I've gone into the Dead Sea from, but it was fine. Overall, recommended.Written 12 October 2023

We were picked up directly from our hotel by Yael. our van was very spacious and comfortable. The best part was our driver and guide. Yael. She was incredible. I felt like we learned so much and we were treated to so many incredible experiences. This tour was literally life-changing. I can’t even describe. The photos don’t even do it justice either. I was grateful for the opportunity and Yael was such an accommodating hostess

The highlight of this tour for me, was the Jordon River. The night before the tour my friend asked me to baptize her, and i said yes. The next day while in the Jordon, i asked her if she was ready and she was. So after I baptized her, their were like 4 or 5 female's from brazil wanted me to baptize them, so I did :-)
Our tour guide was, simon robson 972 506 564407, REAL FRIENDLY, call him to be your guide Simon was so nice, while walking us to our taxi, this white dog started to walk in traffic. Simon went after the dog, then had my friend take a picture of the dogs tag in order to call the own. This young couple came over to assist, after calling the own, then own was sitting down having dinner and wasnt paying attention to her dog wandering off

We were very impressed with the front end - the tour was easy to book and we were able to easily change the location for pickup when the place we were staying changed.
On the tour it was quite different. The coordination was lacking, even with plenty of time to do things. They screwed up coordinating our transfer and tried to get us to go back to Jerusalem when we purchased a transfer to Tel Aviv, because they screwed up on the number of seats available on a bus. The guide joked several times, 'Well, looks like you are coming back to Jerusalem,' then telling us we would get dropped off back in Tel Aviv after dropping off everyone else in Jerusalem. This was not acceptable because we needed to meet our AirBnB hosts by a certain time. After we put up enough of a stink, they dropped us off to a Gett taxi on the way back to Jerusalem. We spent over an hour at the baptismal site doing nothing and with no guided description of the site - there was plenty of time to get things arranged and coordinated. We paid extra for that Tel Aviv transfer through Tourist Israel and did not get the service we booked.
We were also disappointed that the guide provided no discussion on the baptismal site. As my wife and I visited the site just north of the Dead Sea in Jordan a few years ago, we knew the site just South of the Sea of Galilee was a recently set up site. The fact this is an alternative site is fine; we understand not everything in the region cannot be completely accessible. However, the lack of description, honesty and guidance from the guide calls into question how much he was trying to tell the accurate truth and how much he was trying to tell a false story to make everyone happy. It calls into question his credibility on other sites and stories.

Dear Scott,
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience with Bein Harim. Clearly our tour did not meet your expectations with transfer incoordination and lack of guidance at one of the baptismal sight. For this we sincerely apologize. We can understand how upsetting this has been for you. We also want to assure you that we take these concerns very seriously and this is not the customer experience we strive for.
Please could you email us on info@beinharim.co.il with your date of travel and further details so we can investigate?
The fact there was no guidance at the baptism site is sad especially taking into account that all of our guides, with no exceptions, graduate an intense course under the Supervision and Licensing by the Israel Ministry of Tourism.
The Course includes 570 academic hours in class and 80 field trips, designed to make proper acquaintance of Israel.
The main Program’s Objectives are:
1. Providing Tour Guides with knowledge about the Land of Israel, in the fields of Archaeology, History, Religions, Flora and Fauna, Geography, Art, Architecture, and Israel’s current affairs in Social, Governmental, Economic and Political subjects.
2. Acquiring the ability for the Tour Guide to show visitors around the Country in a manner suitable to the diversity of the clientele.
Nevertheless we are delighted to hear that you were impressed with the booking process and the customer service on the stage of changing a pick up hotel. We are glad to hear that you were delivered in time to the meeting point with your AirBnB host after having contacted our operations department.
We want you to know that your complaint and feedback gave us the chance to resolve any problems that may occur and assist us in making our services better. We apologize one again for the inconvenience and hope that we will have the privilege to guide you again in Israel and rectify any disservice.
All the best,
Your Bein Harim Tourism Services team

First our tour guide was 1/2 hr late. When we got out of the Jordan River we couldn’t find him for 1/2 hour. He did do a good job explaining different parts of the tour. But he took us to a place for fish and ordered for us and it ended up being a lot money for all this food that we couldn’t eat. Then instead of taking us back to Jerusalem he took us to Tel Aviv to “see the ocean” , which we never saw. In Tel Aviv we took another taxi back to the hotel that smelt like smoke. Not worth it. Will probably never use this company again.

Dear Sir,
We are regretful that this was the nature of the tour with a Bein Harim guide. We will need to follow this up as what you describe should not be. Period! Certainly not on a private tour and not this standard of tour management. The delay was known to our office to do with confusion with others who also took a private tour from your hotel. What you mention of your lunch should not be, it is your choice what to order?! We don't have an ocean in Tel Aviv, only the Mediterranean Sea along the beach front. On a private tour we drop our guests back at their pick up location. We do not own the taxi ranch, and have no hold on drivers and their habits, however unpleasant. We will mention this in our report back to them. As this is not the standard of service we wish to provide. You were returned to Jerusalem in a cab, this is often the case when tours, even private travel north.
Sincerely,
Bein Harim Tourism Services team

My family of 8 had a wonderful tour with our guide Erez. Erez was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Erez tailored our tour to see and do the things we wanted and had great suggestions based on his experience that made our trip great. Beyond that Erez brought a positive energy and attitude that made the tour fun. Erez read applicable scripture at the locations we visited and took great pictures for us. Erez really seemed to care that my family from children to grandparents had a good time. I would definitely recommend Erez as a guide and the Galilee tour.

We took the tour in Spanish, overall the tour is well organized and the guide beforehand told us about the itinerary. The only bad point was that at the end, we had to go to Tel Aviv and the company arranged our transfer to Jerusalem in a private taxi. Because of this we lost some time. Other than that, the experience was good.

Thanks for this complimentary review of the tour and your guide.Pity no mention of their name to earn the recogniton for thier efforts.
As you embarked in Jeruslaem and need to be dropped off there, often our tours going north, as was yours, we cannnot send the whole van via Jerusalem. This process is normaly prompt, the alternative of going direct from the north is dependent on many factors, volumes of travelers , van size as well as language, etc . Late afternoon all over the country there is traffic and congestion.Sorry for this inconvenience.
