About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- TAMAN19510 contributionsGreat dayOur guide Andrey was perfect for us. Since we had already seen a number of spots on the original plan he was able to quickly modify or tour to show us things we missed. Very polite and knowledgeable. We had some great good and a great experience. We highly recommend this organization.Written 9 September 2024
- Inspire2737830 contributionsGreat day tourIf you're looking for a day away from the busy city of Bishkek, this is a great tour. Our tour guide, Begy, was wonderful, very accommodating, and took great care of us. I highly recommend.Written 8 September 2024
- zinniaw20230 contributionsBrilliant day trip from BishkekBrilliantly organised trip, I’m so glad I went with datka travel. Our guide was really knowledgeable and catered to our needs really well. Joined up with another couple for this tour and they had mixed dietaries which were well looked after. Went first to Burana tower then drove on to the horse riding. Driving was really safe and the tour was brilliant. Stunning views, horses were in really good condition and well looked after, and it was a really lovely way to enjoy the scenery.Written 3 September 2024
- jnitis0 contributionsAmazing tourEverything about this tour was fantastic. My tour guide Anvar was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. The hike to the waterfall in the morning was beautiful. We had time in the afternoon to drop by several interesting spots in the city. I learned so much about Kyrgyzstan culture, history, and people. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!Written 31 August 2024
- Julian V0 contributionsAwesome adventure on horses & a suspension bidge!Great Experience! Andrey, our driver & guide, was friendly & polite. With our permission he took us to an additional touristy location called Supara which was interesting (not to be confused with Supara Chunkurchak, which we went to later). It has architecture & design with an eye towards old fashioned Kyrgis traditions. Then we drove to Chunkurchak Gorge to see a modest waterfall, but with a spectacular view from the suspension bridge... quite an experience... also had the options to be filmed by a drone when walking on the bridge, as well as to climb down into the gorge! From there we were taken to Supara Chunkurchak for horseback riding, dinner, archery & even an optional zipline that was not previously advertised! It was all great!Written 26 August 2024
- DURAN850 contributionsThe best travel agent in KyrgyzstanDatka Travel had played a pivotal role in my recent magical trip to Kyrgyzstan. First and for most I liked the fact that "Talgat" who is the owner was friendly open person all reach out to him. He prepared an itinerary very meticulously according to all my demands and even after comparing with some other agents in different parts of the country, he was trying his best to give me a fair deal. In term of destinations, well Kyrgyzstan itself is a heaven on earth which should be in everyone's bucket list. Its landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful, and the local culture is incredibly rich. Datka Travel made sure that it was an easy and an enjoyable experience for us! We had three wonderful guides traveled alongside us through the tour. Our city tour guide "Farouk"was dynamic and knowledgeable, making learning about Bishkek a fun experience. "Azamat" is one of the best guides we’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with and he was with us for most of our itinerary. While traveling with him we could feel that he was a good friend but at the same time he was very professional and careful. Another guide we met on our way was "Chyngyz", helpful and warm-hearted man, that made our travel to this rather isolated and beautiful place, Son Kul Lake even more interesting. The whole team at Datka Travel was professionally attentive and warm as if we have been knowing each other for years. Their professionalism in making sure everything was perfect during the trip was apparent in the way they managed to handle us. All in all, Datka Travel, led by Talgat, provides an outstanding journey and added care to the clients. These are some of the best tour operators you should hire if you are willing to tour Kyrgyzstan; they will offer you reasonable prices alongside friendly and courteous service delivery. Indeed, Kyrgyzstan is enchanting, and Datka Travel is the most suitable means to explore it.Written 26 August 2024
- atomicwest0 contributionsGreat Introduction to the Landscapes and Culture in KyrgyzstanOverall great tour to see north Kyrgyztan outside of Bishkek. Faruh was an awesome guide who had a lot of information about the country. Along the way, he pointed out landmarks in different cities and towns, and different parts of the landscape. He is very flexible with short stops along the way, like if you want to take a few quick pictures at some location. And he brought coffee and water for me which I really appreciate. About 2 hours from Bishkek, we stopped at a local cafe for some tea and Kyrgyz bread/snacks. Afterward it was almost an hour to the horseback riding location. We stopped at a local family’s home, where they brought the horses. You can ride the horses into the mountains for hours if you really want, or whenever you’re tired you can let your guide know to turn back. Early spring is a little less ideal because the snow is melting and turning the ground into slush, but the views are still beautiful. The food prepared by the family is a nice presentation of traditional Kyrgyz food, and the family was very welcoming. Normally you go to Burana tower in the morning, but we ended up there toward closing time when there were almost no people. It was great exploring the area without any lines, and the mini museum has a lot of old relics. In general, you only need cash if you plan to buy souvenirs or additional snacks along the way, but we didn’t make a lot of stops like that. Otherwise everything is included with your tour. If you are traveling solo, contact the tour operator first if you want to see some other specific sites; you will be charged a single supplement fee that is almost the price of 2 people.Written 25 August 2024
- jongchullh0 contributionsMr. Maltan.I didn't know there was such a beautiful place near Bishkek. I loved the cute waterfall seen from the cloud bridge, the beautiful scenery from the top of the small peak, and the horseback riding through the meadows. The good meal and the archery exercise after the meal were enough to relieve stress. The kindness of the guide was also a joy that cannot be missed.Written 15 August 2024

This was actually my second time doing the private city tour with Datka Travel, and it was well worth it. I initially did this tour last summer. When I realised I would be coming back to Kyrgyzstan, I contacted them again and asked if we could do a similar tour with perhaps a bit more emphasis on the Soviet heritage of Bishkek. My guide Faruh was generous enough to take me to a few landmarks he normally would not include on the tour, just because he knew it would make me happy. His energy was pleasant, upbeat and he made me feel like I made a new friend at the end of the day. This is exactly what a private tour should do.

Bishkek might not be a big city but there is still lots to discover. Lots of history about their past and how they’re changing into the present and future. Would definitely recommend Talgat to give you a tour around the city

I personally enjoyed the Kyrgyz wedding hall, mosque, and guard of honor in Ala-Too square, as well as exploring the Osh Bazaar market in Bishkek. Overall, my experience with "Datka Travel" was beyond my expectations and I would rate them 11 out of 10.

Azamat was a very friendly guide and told us a lot about the city and the history of the country. Everything went so smooth and we had such a great time. It’s a perfect way to explore the city if you have limited time.
