About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- olaaM5204AS0 contributionsMars, thank you.We spent 4 days exploring the beautiful country of Kyrgztan with Atlas ag. It was well organized, fun and I would do it again. A special thank you to our guide Mars for making it a memorable. It was because of him that we had such a great time, saw everything we wanted and was able to enjoy the culture❤️Written 6 October 2024
- becca f0 contributionsThe perfect tour.We had 5 days to pack in as much as possible and Zamir certainly made that happen. We couldn’t have done half of what we did without him. His knowledge about Kyrgyzstan is Incredible. Would 100% advise booking a guide as you go to places you probably wouldn’t if doing it solo. Also being able to translate is extremely helpful as his English is perfect. I would say we’ve made a friend for life.Written 2 October 2024
- 615priyankar0 contributionsLovely experience in enchanting KyrgyzstanWe had the most amazing little break in Kyrgyzstan, with Atlas. We flew down from Dubai for a few days, and everything was comfortable for us. Our guide Aziz was extremely friendly, took our requests into consideration and was flexible to accommodate them. The accommodation in the Yurt was nice experience too; it was my first time and I rather enjoyed it. I loved that i didn’t have to worry about anything and we had our meals and everything sorted. They even made sure the meals were catered to my vegetarian friend. I’d 100% recommend Atlas tours (I already have!) for a stress-free, safe and relaxing break.Written 1 October 2024
- greenbird20 contributionsA great day out in the nature outside BishkekMy guide Nurlay was fantastic Very caring and made sure I did not slip on the loose pepples We all went to a fab Salmon restaurant, and he then showed me where the souvenir section was in the bazzar then dropped me to the wine bar I was going to meet up with my friends I fully recommend this great walk and my guide Nuraly He really went out of his way to make sure the walk was safe etc Plus he is a local and knows his areas very well Many thanksWritten 29 September 2024
- C1283VPpetram0 contributionsDO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRIPProvider asked for cash payment outside of TripAdvisor booking. Unfit of leading women travel group. They contracted with a sub who will short you of advertised activities. Guide lead group into bad weather in hiking and disappeared from group seeking shelter for himself. Ordered cheapest meals for lunches and dinners. Had to cut tour short due to (later claimed to be optional) filthy hot spring activity and unsafe hiking suggestions. Tour organizer (Atlas.kg) denied any responsibility for shortfalls of the sub guide (Ulan).Written 25 September 2024
- 230kirstenf0 contributionsFantastic experience; excellent guideMaksat is a fantastic guide! I really cannot recommend this tour enough. Really nice pace, incredibly views, plus Maksat is so kind and informative. The lunch at the end is not to be missed - I can't stop thinking about the grilled Trout. Please don't visit Kyrgyzstan without taking this tour :)Written 5 September 2024
- S7454ONrachelj0 contributionsLoved our day trip with Aziz!I do a great day trip to Ala-Archa national park with Aziz. This was a fantastic trip! Aziz was a really great guide - very knowledgeable and kind and set a good pace for us. I would highly recommend this company and Aziz! They were very easy to book with and coordinate with.Written 4 September 2024
- balasubrahmanyama0 contributionsAmazing experienceThe communication with the company was seamless from before the trip. Mars gave us list of things to get and we were well prepared. We were 2 adults and two little kids and the whole itinerary was comfortable even with kids. We totally enjoyed every bit of it. We rode horses, slept in yurt camp, hiked on mountains, swam in the hot spring water and much more. Mars is an amazing guide who is very knowledgeable. He was kind to make tea parties for us by the rivers and introduced us to some Kyrgyz delicacies. Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful country with breathtaking scenery. It should be on every traveller’s bucket list.Written 4 September 2024
- luisd9640 contributionsWell recommendedThis tour was great. Ala archa is a beautiful place to visit very close to Bishkek. It’s perfect for a day trip. My guide Aziz was unbelievable and did a terrific job to make sure I was having fun.Written 2 September 2024

- stefanosL9904GC0 contributionsAmazing Kirghi trip!Unforgettable trip! Kyrgyzstan is a wonderful country! In August you can find snow-capped mountains, greenish valleys, lush forests, rivers and streams with pristine water, beautiful horse and yak pastures in the high mountains, amazing lakes at high altitudes. it is truly a wonderful sight for the eyes! But this is what you can easily find by doing a simple Google search! I would like to talk to you about Mars and Atlas kg. The friendliness and smile with he welcomed us at the airport made us feel immediately at home! The organization of the trip and the choice of accommodations were simply perfect! All accommodation, whether hotel, yurt camp or guesthouse were clean, in beautiful locations and with great food! The stops for tea along the way choesen by Mars near the rivers are a simple memory but one that I will always carry with me for peace and calm! Having mars with us was always a source of knowledge of the place, advice on trails, advice on what to do or not to do, advice on food(we immediately asked him not to eat strange things and so it was 😬). Before leaving, I thought that spending so many days always in contact with a guide would be heavy. Instead, the days passed too quickly and above all in a pleasant way! In the course of the journey, Mars has gone from guide to friend. A friend I hope to see again soon!!!Written 25 August 2024
- R2594BWrobw0 contributionsGreat day trip and thanks for all the fishReally great tour! Maks was a charismatic guide who cared a lot about the people in our group and did a good job adjusting it to the comfort and ability of each participant. At the end, we went to a trout barbecue place, and I cannot recommend enough that you do this optional extra. The fish was amazingWritten 5 August 2024
- Kareem-isk0 contributionsBest in KyrgyzstanWe did the Ala Archa National Park tour with Mars, it was definitely one of the most unique experiences we had in Kyrgyzstan, Mars is the most helpful, kind & knowledgeable guides you can ask for, he did everything possible to make our day memorable. Thanks Mars and thanks Atlas! See you again!Written 5 August 2024
- jcdelen0 contributionsSolo-traveler Trekking in Ala Archa Nature Park WITH MAKSOne cannot say that they visited Bishkek without trekking/hiking through the Ala Archa Nature Park WITH MAKS. The nature park, itself is picturesque and breathtaking. Definitely will leave you in awe from its natural beauty to its stunning landscape, this place is magical! Not to mention how GREAT guide MAKS is. He made the trek more fascinating by letting you see what life is in Kyrgyzstan in a lens of a local. It could topic related to philosophy, politics, religion etc. He's open-minded. It's worth to mention how he took us to a fish-farm-liked restaurant to have great lunch to conclude the tour. Saying that this tour is highly recommended doesn't give justice to what experience awaits you!Written 2 August 2024
- 566ivanag0 contributionsPerfect introduction to KyrgystanGreat introduction to the country and its culture! The communication with the travel company was easy and fast and they were flexible in modifying the original tour as per our requests. Nothing seemed to be complicated and they know their country and itineraries perfectly. We really lucked out with our driver - guide Maksat, he was superb. Professional, speaks perfect English, knowledgable on so many topics and open for talk on any of them. In only a few days time thanks to him we learned so much about the country, its history and traditions, local food and contemporary life. Everything went as planned, accommodation was great, nature is stunning and Maksat was a wonderful ambassador of his country. It was a perfect vacation and I would warmly recommend it to everyone visiting the country.Written 28 July 2024

I took a day trip to Buruna Castle and Kegeti Gorge Waterfall, we are family of 5 with young kids. We enjoyed a lot, it was great experience to enjoy the nature. We are truly grateful to Mars who took us to these places and kept on passing the information throughout. It was worth the time and money and thanks again to Mars for his hospitality.

I came to the country for a work trip and only had one free day in Kyrgyzstan, and I am so glad I picked this tour. It was honestly the perfect day, and Mars was the best guide. It was like traveling with an old friend who could answer every question I had about the country. Ancient Burana was really cool, and I loved the museum and drive-up. The Canyons were truly breathtaking; photos will never do them justice. Lunch was so good, I am already dreaming about it. Also, as a solo traveler, I rarely get any photos of myself, but Mars made sure to take several photos for me, which was amazing. Definitely take this trip and all Atlas' other ones if you have time. I have already told my family that I want to come back and they are coming with me this time. I have nothing but great things to say about it.

Burana tower and the petroglyphs were quite telling of the history of Kyrgyzstan. Beutiful views from the top of the tower. The stairs are quite narrow and steep, but Ulan helped me with his instructions to climb up and get down.
The hike to the canyons and the culmination of the hike was just breathtaking! I am not an avid hiker, but Ulan made it so easy for me. Most of the hike was gradual uphill trail, with a few difficult passes. Ulan helped me at each pass very patiently. The hike was totally worth it. The canyons are mesmerising. And the weather was perfect! 5 stars for Ulan! 🙂

WE are so grateful for such detailed review. Much appreciated. In fact, weather in the Canyon is mostly sunny and dry due to being among mountains. Thank you!

Epic trip! Pickup at hotel was at 0800. first we drove to the ancient Burana, a UNESCO world heritage site. We walked up the minaret and also visited the monuments. All of my questions pertaining to the once thriving settlement was answered by Mars. We then drove to a row of restaurants mainly visited by locals to try kattama, a bread made fresh, and to enjoy chai before our trip to the Konorchek Canyons. The Konorchek Canyons is an eight mile round trip walk through narrow gorges. The walk can be done by anyone at any age. Upon arrival to the canyon the contrasting shades of red pop out as the sun shined brightly. It was breathtaking to say the least. Mars took me to some great viewpoints where we took his drone and captured some beautiful pics. It was very peaceful only hearing the occasional quails and wind around us. Highly recommend Atlas and Mars to take on this epic trip.

My partner and me had the best trip we could wish for with Ulan (as a guide) and a young man from UK, who also booked the tour. We were picked up in time, went to Burana Tower first. Sadly, it was closed and we couldn't go up but then Ulan brought us to the Kegeti Waterfall. Such a nice cooling adventure with the hot temperature! Ulan was a good driver and such a kind and caring person. He was making the best of our trip, he was more engaged than we wished for a guide to be. He gave 150% that day and made it an incredible day trip for us! He then found the best food to bring back the power and we shared traditional kyrgyz dinner. Very good! Ulan speaks English, which is very helpful!

Breathtakingly beautiful scenery, wonderful ancient ruins. Very obliging and friendly guides who will make your Kyrgyzstan dreams come true. My excellent guide also took photos so I was in the shot and stopped for special photo ops. Very comfy 4WD. You’ll learn a lot about Kyrgyzstan. I’ll be using these guys for my next tour

Great tour to enjoy some spectacular nature outside Bishkek. The Burana Tower shows some great history, the Kegeti Gorge in particular is a sight definitely worth seeing.

Mas was a perfect guide. He can 'sell' Kyrgyzstan, he can tell you amazing stories about daily life in the city, but mostly on his beloved mountains! A truly great experience.
