Day 1 you will complete the first three modules of theory in the morning before learning the skills during 5 confined water dives in the swimming pool after lunch.
The day usually finishes around 4.30-5pm
On the second day you return to the classroom at 9am to complete modules 4 & 5 of the knowledge development, including the final exam. The day is shorter than day 1 and usually finishes around 1pm. If you choose to complete the Open Water course in 3 days you will need to fit knowledge development modules 4 & 5 into days 1 & 2.
The following day we will pick you up around 7 - 7.30am for your first diving adventure. Your Instructor will go through the equipment assembly with you before we then take you by speedboat to the beautiful island of Koh Tao, which is about 1 1/4 hours away.
The first dive is a nice relaxing dive to a maximum depth of 12m to get you used to being underwater and using the equipment.
After you have completed the first dive we take a break for an hour or so when we serve lunch, which you can eat on the boat or on the beach.
During the 2nd dive of the day you will repeat some of the skills you practised in the swimming pool, which you are required to perform for certification.
We arrive back to Koh Samui around 3.30pm.
Day 4 (or 3) also begins with a pick up around 7 - 7.30am. Again we take you out by speedboat to complete your two remaining open water dives. Again you will repeat more of the skills you learned in the pool, but this time you will dive to a maximum depth of 18m. Which dive sites we choose for the second day depends on how comfortable you are and what the conditions are like at that particular time.
Once we are back on Koh Samui you will complete the paperwork, fill in your logbook and receive your temporary certification card.
