My family and I spent 4 hours with Kit on the Doi Suthep and Walking
Meditation Tour, and everyone agreed it was the highlight of our trip
to Thailand (where we used to live for 4 years). Thailand is all about
temples and Buddhism, and during our short time with Kit I feel like
we took a crash course in Buddhism, coming away with more knowledge
than we had acquired during our time living in Thailand. His
experience as a Novice Monk during his teenage years really allows him
to convey a unique perspective, and his near-flawless English allows
for in-depth conversations.

We opted to take a private car since it saved a lot of time and were very glad we did as we were able to cover a lot more ground and leave more time for exploring instead of waiting for public transportation. We visited many temples during our time in Thailand, but the forest temple we toured with Kit was our favorite. It was so unique and peaceful and a great location for learning walking meditation techniques (something we plan to use in our daily lives now that we're back at home).

At Doi Suthep Kit did an expert job navigating us to quieter areas despite the enormous high-season crowds, and on the way out he assisted our daughters in purchasing some fried bugs from a vendor so they could give them a try. Our tour
ended with Kit dropping us at a truly unique local restaurant (his recommendation) where we enjoyed one of the more authentic meals we found in Chiang Mai. We'll definitely do another tour with Kit when we return to Chiang Mai.

This was definitely one of my favorite highlights from our trip. Kit
is full of information about the Monks and the Buddhist way of life.
The views were spectacular and hearing/ seeing the Monks do their
morning ritual was something i'll never forget. I will definitely
recommend this experience to everyone who wants to learn more about
the culture of Thailand.

Tony took extra time to explain the significance of Doi Suthep and the
lower and upper sections. Tony drove us to the sites in his very
comfortable Hilander vehicle. At all times he was very accommodating
and guided us through the intricacies and the respectful observance of
Buddhism. I recommend Tony as your guide if going to Chiang Mai. If
our plans had been different we would have booked another tour with
Tony....

My husband and I booked the Doi Suthep Temple Tour & Walking
meditation with Kit during our stay in Chiang Mai. Kit was a wonderful
host with such a lovely, serene energy about him. We had a lot of
questions about Buddhism and meditation which he was happy to answer.
Although Doi Suthep was extremely crowded on the morning we visited,
he did a fantastic job showing us around and explaining a few aspects
of Buddhism. The second temple was a lot less crowded and so lovely
and tranquil. The walking meditation he taught us was extremely
interesting and I'll definitely be practicing it back home! Kit was
extremely professional and I'd definitely recommend this tour if
you're interested in learning more about Thai life and Buddhism. Thank
you so much Kit for a fascinating morning and all the best to you and
your family.

We met Kit promptly at 5am. He picked us up in a new, clean SUV which
was very comfortable. Kit's presents and demeanor was also very
comforting. During our 45 minute ride to the temple Kit explained his
background and the history of the region and temple we were about to
tour. Once at the temple Kit guided us around the complex providing
great information which only someone who spent years as a Monk there
could provide. He arranged for two private blessings with two
different Monks. Kit managed his time well as we had plenty of time
within the temple and still get to see the sunrise from a different
viewing spot on the complex. After the tour we stopped for coffee then
at another temple and meditation center on our return ride. Kit
provides an awesome experience which I hope many others will enjoy.

Kit was fantastic. As a former monk, he knew much about the temple and
Buddhist teachings. He arrived right on time drove us to a shrine at
the foot of the mountain, where we made offerings to Buddha and bought
food for the monks at the temple. After watching the sunrise and
touring the temple grounds, Kit treated us to some delicious local
coffee. After coffee, we visited the temple in the jungle about
halfway down the mountain. Kit was very polite and his English was
quite good. I highly recommend a tour with Kit.

I booked this for my husband and I, and I was unable to go.
My husband had a wonderful time and of course always talks about the great time he and Kit had. They were up early am and he said it was magical being
there without the tourists and able to witness the beauty and life they live.
Definitely a great memory for him.

The experience was great! (once you get passed the early morning
start) it is well worth it. Kit was great and so knowledgable. You see
the temple at its best, it's very quiet at that time, very peaceful
and calming. We enjoyed learning about the history of Thailand and the
daily routines of the monks. Kit filled us in on his own personal
experiences which was really kind of him and allowed us to ask him all
sorts of questions about his time and decision to become a monk. We
even had a blessing while we were there from a monk. It was a great
experience and so much fun. I would certainly recommend. Kit is also
full of tonnes of knowledge about great things to do in Chiang Mai so
certainly use him and his advice.

Tony guided us through the two sections of Doi Suthep. The temple to
the west of Chiang Mai. We appreciated his timeliness and access to a
comfortable car for the trip up the mountain. He is a knowledgable
guide who can explain the aspects of Buddhism and meditation to those
he guides. We recommend Tony for your tour.
Tony could have made more effort to teach and practice the walking meditation. He shared very basic information about breathing, took three steps and that it. We were not even in a wooded, or particularly quiet or pleasing area. I was very disappointed in that part. I still would recommend him, but tell him what you want if he misses the mark. Wish I did...

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Kit. He is very
friendly and easy to talk to, and he has a lot to tell about the
temples we visited, about Buddhism en Thai culture.

In my opinion, it adds great value to visit a place like Doi Suthep with a local guide,
especially with someone who was a monk. It really enriches the
experience. And even more so if this person is as nice and pleasant as
Kit!
