Great way to see many different parts of Bangkok
We did the 3 hour bike tour of Bangkok with Proud and Bob. This tour was a great way to cover a lot of ground in different parts of the city. We biked through narrow alleys through Chinatown markets, the flower market, and other street food markets, and we saw different neighborhoods and stopped to visit Wat Prayoon. Even though we had seen a couple of the sites on other tours we had been on, Proud taught us new insights about the history and culture. We greatly enjoyed the tour—highly recommended.

    Underwhelmed. Waste of money
The 5 hour boat tour with the James Bond boats was quite underwhelming. My husband had done this tour with this company previously, and thoroughly enjoyed it. He thought that it would be good for me to do it too this time around. We were both so disappointed and not because he oversold it to me. (My son had also done the same tour with the same company and raved about it!) The long boat was great and the guide was delightful, but the James Bond boat was a waste of time, I could almost have rowed quicker in parts. Whenever we did start to pick up a little speed the boat driver would slow to answer his phone. The floating market had just a few stalls open and the last market we visited (where we departed the James Bond boat) was a waste of time, I had no interest in buying anything, we had paid for a tour, not something that I could do myself for free. Coming back on a public ferry (24 stops) is just a ploy to drag out the length of the tour. To their credit the company have given a 50% refund but this doesn't atone for wasted hours on my one full day in Bangkok.

See Bangkok like you’ve never seen it before
An amazing way to see and explore Bangkok. Did the 5 hour bike and boat tour with Jessi and Benni who were amazing hosts. Road through the crazy streets of Bangkok and Chinatown and through the maze of alleyways that make up the beating heart of Bangkok, before a ride on a long boat takes you to the serene temple across the river and rural Bangkok with its floating markets and it’s giant Buddha. The ride takes you along the narrow pathways through rural parts of Bangkok that you otherwise would not see. Stopped off and had a wonderful meal of local cooked food before heading back along the river.

Not quite the Bangkok we know!
The tour was immaculately curated. Truly gave a taste of a different side of Bangkok Bangkok. Our guide Pekky was very informative and helpful. Our trip started with a ride through the narrow lanes in Chinatown. We then took a mail train to the east of Bangkok. From there, we cycled through the canals on narrow walkways, sometimes more narrow than others, and sometimes, without railings. You would need to be truly comfortable on a bike to be able to ride on these walkways over the canals. We ended our ride by taking a long tail boat, the sky train, a tuk-tuk, and lastly a local bus back to the office. A support van accompanied us throughout to manage the bikes. 💯 awesome!

    Great experience
I had a night bicycle tour with Pam and Kim who were super friendly and helpful, always with the smile on their face answering all questions and giving tips. The tour was great, including interesting hidden gems (between locals) of Bangkok too. Got to try yummy local snacks during trip. Highly recommend 🥰

    A great experience!
What an experience! Really a “must-do”! You’ll pass through a lot of very small streets in different neighbourhoods. And Pekkie and Oth were GREAT! Don’t hesitate, just do it!

    A magical mystery tour!
Covered a lot of ground and saw plenty of sights as well tiny paths and streets. Impressed so many braved near monsoon conditions which did not spoil things too much - after all it was so warm!

Fabulous tour around Bangkok by bicycles .......Co Classical 3 hr bicycle tour
Please note we battled to find this tour. I eventually found it on Viator...we had done it previously but no agents in the street knew about it. We were thrilled to find it. It's a must to do in Bangkok. Our tour guide was fabulous taking us through the streets safely, visiting a flower market, got us to taste different fruis, Went over the river and through China Town. The bicycles were so comfortable to ride. We also had our bicycles taken over the river by boat which was so amazing. There was always a tour guide in front as well as behind to make sure we were kept together. Don't miss out on this fabulous cycle in Bangkok.

    Dutch affair.
Nice tour around the old parts of Bangkok. Scenic routes and thoughtfully curated. I really liked the parks and temples they took us to. Pam and FunFun were great hosts. Since the founder was Dutch, most customers tend to be Dutch. A bit expensive though. I thought they will explain more about the way people live in Bangkok. Not saying they didn’t explain. Just, it wasn’t as deep as I thought it would be. Worth a try it the price is palatable.

    Exceeded expectations
My wife and I had been to Bangkok several times before and were looking for something different but authentic to do with our two teenagers. We did a 4 hr your that included a long boat ride and lunch. It was absolutely amazing, far better than what we expected. Local, fun, different, both city and nature areas. Lunch was local and fantastic-you would never find the local place on your own. More than we expected, even the teenagers were impressed.

    It's worth the money:)
The tour was very well organized, the guides were very nice and the snacks were excellent. We also learned a lot of interesting things about the life of ordinary Thais. We went through the main street of China Town as well as the back streets, where I would not dare to go by bike by myself:) The guides were also very willing to take pictures of us. I definitely recommend it!

Organisational and communication skills seriously lacking
To be fair I didn’t actually go on any tour, mainly because of this company’s poor organisation, but that was part of my experience with it. Anyone thinking of going on a tour with this company should bear in mind that, if you enrol after 7 p.m. in a tour starting early the following day and subject to confirmation, you will not receive any confirmation until the following day, by which time it is too late to organise alternative plans, even though he email reply from the company states that “your booking has been received for review. We will get back to you as soon as possible” - meaning you could be waiting around all evening and the night to know whether you’ll have to get up early for the tour.

Wow what can we say an amazing must do! We have been lucky enough to have done various tours all over the world and this is absolutely in the top 3! Pam was very knowledgeable and friendly and we felt safe at all times. Even in the crazy traffic of Bangkok!

    Great experience
This was my husband's favorite part of our amazing 3 weeks in Thailand! I personally like to refer to it as a knarly experience and I also enjoyed it even though I'm not as comfortable on bikes. Narrow alleys, riding with motorbikes, etc. but still not dealing with busy streets. We got to see several markets and I especially loved the fortune experience at the Wat. Ling Ling was a great guide and we would highly recommend this tour company. We did the 3 hour tour.

The ride through the back alleys and markets in "less visited" areas of Bangkok was fun, but if you are looking for an educational tour with experienced guides, this may not be for you. The tour primarily consisted of following the guide in a line of bikes. While we stopped a couple times, there was not much information given about the places where we stopped. If you just want a nice ride through narrow alleyways and places you would not normally ride a bike through, you may enjoy this, but if you are looking for more history, cultural context, or information in general, you may want to pick a different tour.

This was exactly the kind of tour that I wanted - something that wasn't a show of tourist spots but rather an exploration of bangkok. We made a couple guided stops, otherwise a lot of this was taking back alleys/roads around the city, which was fantastic. Guides were very nice and helpful - really the only comment I have is that I wanted to see more (which they have longer/alternate tours!). Highly recommended!

A great bike tour around Bangkok. I was a little worried before it started that the tour would stop and start too much, but there was a good amount of riding throughout the city without stopping, going through backstreets and off the beaten track roads which made the tour really interesting. Eve and Ellie were fantastic, couldn't fault them. Would definitely recommend!

Our guides Pie and Art were great, friendly and knowledgeable. We did the 8am three hour tour and with hindsight, think that was probably a good decision as it was not so hot and the streets, alleys and, market places were not so busy. We've been to Bangkok many times, but certainly got to see parts of the city that we would never find on our own. The bike ride is definitely worth three hours of your time.

Me and my girlfriend both did this tour on our last day in Bangkok and it ended up being the highlight of the stay.

Both the local tour guides, Ling Ling & Shy (sorry about spelling) were super friendly and the bikes were comfy and easy enough to use, even in some of the narrow streets and markets that the tour takes you down.

We both loved it and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the older, less built up side of Bangkok in a unique and inexpensive way.

I did the 9 hour tour. Our guides were very nice people, and I also enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour. However. I think the tour would be better on foot. I felt like I couldn't take in the scenery because I was too focused on not falling. Most of this tour was on narrow raised sidewalks with potholes and bumps. The raised sidewalks can be as high as 5 feet off the ground. The risk of falling is very real. I fell headfirst into a ditch. Thankfully my fall was absorbed by a bush and I didnt break anything. I'm not new to biking. I comfortably bike down steep single track mountain trails as well as on city streets. I would have felt much more comfortable on a good mountain bike. But more so, I would have loved to have been on foot so I could have more time to interact with all we saw. We certainly weren't zooming through the path given how careful everyone had to be, so walking may have been just as fast, and probably more fun.

Did the 5 hour tour with the bike and boat. Great trip, really not to miss when in Bangkok. Maybe a bit pricey at 2.000 baht but really worth it if you want to see something else than the typical tempels. You will visit one temple (can wear shorts) and the rest is all city streets, small narrow streets and nature. Great tour gide as well.

This was definitely the highlight of your time in Bangkok! We started the morning meeting our guides for the day, Cookie and Anna, and setting up the bikes before heading off. Bikes were in great condition and comfortable to ride for a few hours. The first thing we did was cycle and walk through the back streets and morning market of China Town which was just so cool. You really get to see the local people's lives and they greet you with a smile every time. The market was hectic but amazing to walk through, all the smells and colours really remind you you're in South East Asia. We then continued along the river to Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan before hopping on a longtail boat with our bikes for a nice and relaxing ride to the outskirts of the city. This was so peaceful and relaxing, really adds to the amazing experience of the tour. We docked the boat at another temple and unloaded the bikes and started making our way through the village and it's rice fields, coconut plantations and other fruit plantation. Really cool experience. After this we hopped on the boat again to go to our lunch spot on the water. Lunch was various delicious home cooked meals we all shared, with vegetarian options available on request. Once we finished lunch we hopped back on the boat again to ride back to the office and finish the tour.
We can't recommend this tour highly enough, it was absolutely great. Definitely try and book the early morning one as the temperature is still nice and streets and market on not too busy yet. Thanks for the great experience Co van Kessel and Cookie and Anna specifically!

I took the three hour tour through Bangkok. The tour takes you through Talad Noi, China Town and over a bridge into Thonburi. They go for 95% through small alleys, market streets etc, and stop at two temples and in a park.
Is it worth it? If you are short of time, the tour can give you a glimpse of a part of Bangkok that on foot would take you much longer to explore. It is also a "different experience" to go around on a bike.
But I felt at times a bit uncomfortable biking with a group of 10 people past what looked like people's "backyards" and peaking into people's homes. The people who live in these small alleys are not the ones who are better off - having a group of (rich) tourists come by everyday to see how they live is a bit voyeuristic. If you explore alone on foot, you can more easily follow your instinct and go back (or stop) whenever you want. The same for the markets: there were instances where I felt it inappropriate to drive on our bikes among people who were doing their shopping in what are already too narrow alleys.
As for me personally, I had explored those parts of Bangkok already on my own on foot, and did not see anything new.
By design, the guides hardly explain anything (as the company's website also says), but i felt that some explanation here and there (who lives in the arears we bike past?, where do these people work?, are these specific communities?, are there differences between all the chinese-looking shrines?...) would have been really the interesting part.
I understand also that if you take the 5 hour or the 9 hour tour, the part you do in the three hour tour is included in these as well. Therefore I debated whether I should take the longer or the shorter tour. I was glad I took the shorter (3 hours) one.

Hi, thank you for your lengthy and interesting feedback. Great to hear your point of view, and from a cultural point of view understandable. However, one of the biggest pillars of our philosophy is taking care of the communities. As we have been cycling the same neighborhoods for over 20 years we built a great relationship with all communities involved. The day that we won't be welcome anymore or unwanted would be the day we stop passing by. AFter months of covid lockdown, we were welcomed back with open arms and told numerous times how much they missed us passing by (see video on our Facebook). In other parts of the world, cycling through 'houses' and markets would be indeed considered less appropriate, which is what makes traveling so interesting. Hoping this slightly helps your uncomfortable feeling, and perhaps to welcome you back on our 5 hour bike/boat tour, which spends some more time in less busy parts of Bangkok.

This was a fantastic way to see the ‘real’ Bangkok. Our guides, ‘Cookie’ and ‘Minnie’, were brilliant! They spoke very good English, explained Thai culture well, were happy to answer questions and did an excellent job of guiding and leading us through the streets, alleyways, and markets……especially across the busy roads. We felt very safe in their hands.
The whole organisation is professional with a well-planned itinerary and the young people who work for ‘Co Van Kessel’ obviously enjoy their work and are a credit to the company. We can thoroughly recommend this tour.
Thank you, Elinor and Steve Priest, from the UK.
