Explore Bangkok like a local on this small-group tour using different modes of Thai public transit. Ride in a tuk tuk, board the elevated Skytrain, and cruise down the Chao Phraya River and smaller canals in boats, as you crisscross the capital’s most important landmarks. It's a great way to get comfortable navigating the city while discovering tucked-away places many visitors miss.
What to Expect
Start the day with an optional early-morning stroll through Bangkok’s popular Lumpini Park, or meet your guide at your hotel. Walk together to the nearest mass transit station (known as BTS or Skytrain) and join local commuters on the ride to the banks of the Chao Phraya River, where you’ll board a public boat and cruise down this busy waterway.

Disembark near Wat Pho to admire the giant reclining Buddha, and visit the Grand Palace with its sacred Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Take a lunch break at a local restaurant (not included) before making your way via foot or tuk tuk to a family workshop that makes traditional alms bowls for monks.

Ride a commuter boat down a canal (klong) to see the Thai-style teak houses and antiques collection at the Jim Thompson House museum. Browse one of the large shopping complexes nearby, or return to your hotel by Skytrain.

A great Introduction to Bangkok

Bo was a brilliant guide, nothing was too much trouble and he spent time to explain things which was god especially when we visited the Grand Palace. Would defiantly recommend this tour.

Tourists Trap, Be aware !!!

Very high price, tuk tuk drivers will take you round and round to places that you did not ask for. Safety is not a familiar word in their lexicon. Bottom line - Tourist trap.

Excellent day with a very knowledgeable tour guide Boe

We started by meeting Boe at our hotel, he was welcoming and informed. We took a cab to the Grand Palace, what was so appreciated was his 'short cut' way to get us around amongst the thousands of tourists. Thank you for that... His knowledge...More
