What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Taipei and set out for the 18th-century Longshan Temple and then tour the Presidential Office Building and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. You’ll have an hour of free time to explore Taipei 101, with the option to visit the 89th-floor observation deck (own expense). Get a glimpse of old Taiwan at Lin An Tai Historical House and the Grand Hotel, and drive out of the city to Yangmingshan National Park. At Beitou Thermal Valley, follow the guide in exploring the area, which includes Beitou Hot Spring Museum, once a Japanese public bathhouse (own expense). At the National Palace Museum, see some of the collection’s highlights on a guided tour that features Tang and Ming dynasty artifacts. Your tour ends at Taipei's largest night market, Shilin Night Market. You’ll find plenty of delicious food and shopping options to satisfy your appetite. Stay as long as you like before making your own way back to your hotel, with the Jiantan MRT Station conveniently located nearby.
