Jiufen Village (Chiufen) and Northeast Coast Half-Day Tour from Taipei
From US$45.00
Visit the historic town of Jiufen (Chiufen) on a half-day tour of Taiwan’s Northeast Coast, and discover picturesque teahouses, homes, and cobblestone streets set high in the mountains. Passing some of Northern Taiwan’s scenic highlights on your way to Jiufen, you’ll also get a glimpse of Taiwan’s fascinating history and traditional culture. Door-to-door transport means a convenient day of exploring.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your Taipei hotel and then board a coach heading toward Taiwan’s Northeast Coast, where you’ll see the lush coastal cliffs of Bitou Cape. From there, continue to Nanya, following a coastline that’s dotted with rock formations and eroded coral. You’ll also catch sight of the Bay of Two Colors, with bright contrasting waters created by a historic mine.

Step off the bus in the former gold mining town of Jiufen (Chiufen), where houses are closely packed on steep mountainsides—a fascinating glimpse of a traditional Taiwanese community. You’ll have time to soak up the historic atmosphere of Jiufen (Chiufen) by wandering the cobblestone streets on foot before boarding the coach for the return trip to Taipei, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Great sights, with an amazing guide

I traveled with my two grandparents, and we were very well taken care of by our group's guide, Mr.Thomas Liang. He answered all of our questions, and was very hands-on in helping us get around, and showing us the ins and outs of Chiufen village.
