Ouzoud Falls Day Trip from Marrakech
From US$27.16

This full-day trip to the Ouzoud Falls, North Africa’s highest waterfalls, makes what could be a long journey via public transport feel short, with air-conditioned minivan transport. You won’t waste any time getting to the falls as your guide will show you the best routes, allowing time for an optional swim and boat ride (own expense) up to the cascades. Plus, hotel pickup and drop-off in Marrakech is included.

What to Expect

After pickup from your Marrakech hotel, travel east in a minivan through rural Morocco to the Ouzoud Falls.

On arrival, walk through olive groves owned by generations of Berber farmers and descend to the gorge below the waterfalls. At the base, stroll by the river and marvel at the three-tiered falls, which cascade into a pool. Take photos and, if you wish, enjoy a swim in the cool waters and an optional boat ride (own expense) close to the cascades to feel the spray.

Afterward, step ashore and visit one of the cafes or restaurants overlooking the river for lunch (own expense). Finally, climb the steps back to the top. Pause on route to see the falls from various angles, watch for the rainbows in the mist, and meet and feed the monkeys that gather here.

Your trip then finishes with a drop-off back at your hotel.

Don't let the distance from Marrakech keep you from this unforgettable experience!

This day-long trip to Ouzoud Falls was, for us, the perfect finale to our Moroccan holiday. We were picked up around 8am from a location very close to our riad. Although the drive to the falls is a bit long (about 2hr45), our shuttle was...More

sneaky charges.

The issue is that there are charges which are not explained. You pay 75dhs to the time guide. You also pay 60dhs to cross the water once on the journey and there is no other way. Although small it is sneaky. Then they take you...More

We were surprised when we compared this to the price TUI were going to charge so we checked out the reviews on TripAdvisor and they were all high quality positive feedback. I recall we paid at least 50% less then TUI... More

Yes. when we arrived they immediately asked if anyone needed to use the bathroom before descending to the falls. About 20 minutes into the trek down there are Restaurants etc where you can use the toilets for a Dirham or two.

It's a couple of hours, maybe two and a half. Well worth it.
