My wife and I visited Kauai for the first time. We’ve decided to book the private Waimea Canyon Full Day to explore the beauty of the island with a professional tour guide. Jon was professional, very knowledgeable, calm, a total nice guy who catered to our curiosity and need. We enjoyed Kauai with his excellent service and professionalism! We definitely would choose Kauai Island Shuttle for our future travels to the beautiful island of Kauai. I would rate him 5 out of 5 for our overall experience and his professional service excellence!

Excellent tour provided by a vey knowledgeable guide. The views of the canyon were incredible! It is so large that a number of lookouts had to be utilized. Even with this approach it is hard to comprehend the magnitude of this magnificent natural feature.

We saw a number of rare Hawaiian birds, monk seals and green sea turtles during this very comfortable tour.

As a plus we toured a coffee plantation and went to so remote island spots that you would never find on your own.

Lunch was lovely. We went to a Hawaiian restaurant that was a bit off the beaten tourist track.

Mahalo John! Thank you for your knowledge and making the day one that will always be special to us!

Wonderful tour of the island’s highlights. John hit all the high spots and was very patient explaining the history and geography of the region. He made certain we took beautiful photos, and he took many pictures of my wife and me in front of perfect locations. This is a must-do tour which will leave you with long- lasting memories.

Our guide Gabriel, made the trip especially great! The lazy kayak portion was fun and relaxing on calm waters the whole way. Beautiful mountain views and a bit of nature and history added by Gabriel. The hike was slippery and wet but not steep, taking us through an ancient Hawaiin royal gathering area. Very cool Queens bath with idelic waterfall into a wading pool, then on to the 80+ foot waterfall at the end. Not for people with walking or shoulder issues but other than that a easy hike. Gabriel was knowledgeable about the flora and history which added color to the trip. Super easy to get to and well run the whole way.

John was an amazing guide - he knew how to work the weather so we were able to see all of the beautiful places throughout the entire day. He customized the trip to what we were interested in as we went along. We asked a ton of questions and he patiently answered them. We wanted to see and do as much of Kauai as possible and John made that happen. This was the perfect way to start our vacation and we will use John's suggestions as we continue our trip.

The Waimea Canyon tour is an awesome tour. John, our guide, achieved the most appropriate balance between the island sites of natural and cultural significance. He seemed to know every corner of the island and certainly the answers to all our questions. Our group was primarily interested in seeing the natural beauties of the island, so John planned the order of site visits such that the January morning clouds have cleared before we reached the Waimea Canyon vista points. In the afternoon he extended the tour for another hour so that we can visit several beaches in the southern part of the island before taking us to the airport. When we soon after realized that one member of our group accidentally left his cell phone in John's vehicle, we called John and he immediately drove back to the airport to bring us the phone. Much appreciated! Great tour!

Fantastic. Jon, our tour guide was beyond fantastic. He took us to some fantastic spots on the island that we would never have gone to without him. He was full of knowledge. He was also a pleasure to be around. My son age 10 kept asking him questions and he was so patient and sweet with him. It also felt so comfortable being with a local as our guide. Great way to see the island. Why drive when you can book with Jon.

Excellent day with Elena!! Saw all the best of the island with our private guide. She was super knowledgeable and shared so much about the island, both big views and little insights! We really enjoyed her stories! Great lunch spot too! She was tuned in to my physical limitations and paced us perfectly. We have beautiful pictures to help us remember this spectacular day on the Garden Isle! Elena was warm and wonderful! Thank you for sharing your best with us!

As an avid traveler, I go on many tours throughout the world, but this one surpassed any experience I’ve had. Elena, our guide was amazing and attentive to our group’s specific wishes. The tour was educational. Elena shared so much insight about the Islands history and it’s current state on the people. Clearly, she loves Kauai and thanks to her, so do we. From the moment we were picked up at the hotel to the moment we were dropped off. The description of this tour does not do it wonders. It’s so much more!!! We visited so many beautiful locations. Elena listened to our story and paced the tour accordingly. The views were breathtaking. The coffee was delicious. Crossing the swinging bridge was exhilarating. All the lookouts were awesome. We had great ahi tacos for lunch. Stopped for shaved iced. Visited a spice store. Saw turtles, monk seals and… a whale’s spout. If you visit Kauai, this is a must do tour.
