Explore Hawaii’s Waimea Canyon, formed thousands of years ago by the passage of water through lava rock, on a bike tour. All equipment and your guide are included in this trek from the top, traveling down 12 miles of paved, winding trails. Pass through lava rock landscape, into Koke’e State Park, and end at Kauai’s coast.
Meet your guide at Poipu Plaza at your chosen morning or afternoon departure time. Get fitted for a mountain bike and helmet and board a minivan for the ride to the top of the canyon, about 3,600 feet (1,100 meters). Enjoy snacks of Hawaiian coffee and blueberry muffins (morning tour) or cold drinks and locally made cookies (afternoon tour) on the ride.
Take in the views of the red lava rock valley from the top of the canyon before hopping on your bike for the thrilling 12-mile descent on smooth, paved roads that wind through Waimea Canyon State Park. Make several stops on the way down to take in the views and snap photos.
Once down the mountain, cycle through the flatlands of Kokee State Park and looking out for native island plants and wildlife. Continue to ride until you reach the ocean where the tour concludes. Hop back in the van for a ride back to Poipu Plaza, where your tour ends.

The lack of interpretive dancing provided by the staff broke my heart. I mean, this guys are multi-talented, fun, smart guides. And no interpretive dancing?! That really doesnt matter, because you are sure to have a great time with this group. We've used them on...More
