Overview
Those short on time can pack in Kauai’s top natural sights with this full-day tour of Waimea Canyon and the Wailua River. Travel in a comfortable air-conditioned bus as your local guide shares stories of Kauai’s rich history and narrates passing sights. See Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, and then float down the river that carved the colorful 10-mile (16-kilometer) canyon on a Wailua River cruise.
What to Expect
Your morning begins with pickup from your Kauai hotel by deluxe air-conditioned bus. As you drive towards Waimea Canyon, your guide shares legends from Kauai’s past and provides narration as you pass such sights as the Spouting Horn blowhole, Old Sugar Mill of Koloa, and village of Hanapepe.

The tour follows the Waimea Canyon Scenic drive to the rim of Waimea Canyon stopping for several photo opportunities at scenic viewpoints along the way. From there you hop in a boat and cruise the lush Wailua River Valley on a Wailua River cruise and then finish your sightseeing tour with a stop by Opaekaa Falls and the Fern Grotto, a fern-covered lava rock that at one time was accessible only to Hawaiian royalty.

At the end of your full-day adventure tour of Kauai, you are dropped back off at your hotel early in the evening.

amazing

The tour guide Rosario was brilliant, we had so much fun and he interacted with us all. The driving was great and he was very thoughtful. Would certainly recommend to everyone of all ages. Thanks Peter (coach captain) and Denise (the Aussies)
