Set out from Kailua-Kona for a half-day snorkeling tour to Kealakekua Bay, one of the top snorkeling destinations on the Big Island. What to Expect
Make your own way to Honokohau Harbor to board your catamaran. Your guide provides snorkeling gear and a safety briefing as your boat travels along the volcanic Kona coast to Kealakekua Bay. Keep an eye out for wild dolphins and perhaps whales (seasonal) along the way.
Hear from your guide about the marine animals and history of Kealakekua Bay, which was the birthplace of the Hawaiian monarch, King Kamehameha III, and the burial place of 18th-century explorer Captain Cook.
When you reach Kealakekua Bay, hop in the warm water for snorkeling at a coral reef loaded with tropical fish.
Your tour includes a picnic lunch served on board the boat, snorkeling instruction, and use of snorkeling gear. Be sure to bring swim gear, dry clothing, towel, and sun protection. Your tour ends with return to the harbor in Kona.

What a great trip. We swam with dolphins, snorkeled in beautiful Captain Cook bay and enjoyed a great lunch and snacks. Simon, Adam and Magda were very attentive and knowledgeable. I had my 14 year old daughter with me and she loved it too. Great trip, great price!
