About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sopwit0 contributionsHighly Recommend! What a great tour!! We were picked up at our hotel by our driver/guide Fab who gave us a history of the area on the 30+ mile drive out to the boat landing where Amir was waiting to take us up the New River to the temple site. The boat ride took a little over an hour. Along the way, Amir would stop to point out various wildlife including crocodiles and many different types of birds, including a rare sighting of a Jabiru stork, the largest bird in Belize. Once we arrived and Lamanai, Amir gave us an excellent guided tour. He is extremely knowledgeable having guided there for many years. After the tour, we had a delicious lunch of chicken, rice and beans, and plantains before Amir drove us downriver in his boat where Fab was waiting to take us back to our hotel. One of the best tours we have been on!Written 5 February 2025
- Julia F0 contributionsKayak ExcitementWhat a fabulous tour! Walking through an untouched jungle/forrest and then kayaking through the caves with only the light on our helmets to see was truly a once in a lifetime experience. One of the three Abner’s on the bus regaled us with the history and culture of Belize. My only complaint are these: first, there was a lot of waiting around before we got started, and then we were one of the last tenders back to the ship. Second, the reminder emails about where to meet should have also mentioned recommended footwear, towels, and water proof camera bags. Most of us signed up months ago and forgot about those details. We did save some money booking independently instead of through the cruise ship. Highly recommend this adventure—choose being independent in kayaks rather than being tied up to a bunch of other inner tubers.Written 1 February 2025
- Clara G0 contributionsFabulous small tour to Altun Ha.Our tour guide Fab was so very knowledgeable, He was also very informative. There was nothing he didn’t know. He was like an encyclopedia. We spent quite a long time at the ruins and it was amazing! I would highly recommend the small group tour as we were in our own van with the guide.Written 25 January 2025
- D9149JDlorrainew0 contributionsLamanai adventureFrom Belize City about an hour ride to ruins. Pickups may run late (30-44 minutes) so don’t panic…but host responded to call and inquiry. Had a group of 8 in the van. Rained so jacket or poncho handy. Sell at gift shops when arrive to Lamanai after boat ride. Saw 2 crocodiles, termite nests, herons, many different birds, but could only hear howler monkeys in the distance. Lunch was delicious. Chicken, rice & beans, chips and salsa all fresh and homemade. Drinks provided but take water. Tour guide knowledgeable of history and native to the area. Great experience.Written 13 January 2025
- Sightsee278669438090 contributionsLove, love, LOVED this tour! The boat ride is very exhilarating and fun. The boat does have a covering to keep you out of the sun/elements. We didn’t see too much awesomeness on the boat ride there a few birds, but we were generally going too fast to see much. The ruins themselves are amazing - they let you climb up them!!!! The tour guide was amazing. The food was amazing. The wildlife was great. We got to actually hear and see howler monkeys up in a tree right by the ruins. We saw iguanas and more birds. The ride back was fine. Our tour guide did find us an alligator on the ride back. Our guide did find us an alligator and we got an amazing video of it sleeping and swimming away.Written 3 January 2025
- Happiness409991406050 contributionsHeading up river, and back in time.Captain Colin (only his work name) was both river boat tour guide and navigator, historian, temple guide and chef. He gave us both a once in a lifetime experience, and a fantastic river ride.Written 3 January 2025
- 226matyc0 contributionsGreat tourBoat ride was very enjoyable and got to see a lot of the jungle. The Mayan Temple extremely enjoy able to visit and the groups were kept small so you could ask questions.Written 2 January 2025
- meredithcN8236HI0 contributionsFriendly and fun first day in BelizeHad a fun day with Freddie at Altun Ha and cave tubing. Super friendly, knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture, and knew tons about local flora and fauna. Thanks for a great first day in Belize!Written 14 December 2024
- SanfordAZRealtor0 contributionsNo kayaking, tubing at same price. The kayaking was canceled due to high water and ViV substituted cave tubing. Problem was they charged the same price and subcontracted it out to another tubing operator. Tubes were dirty and muddy, no facilities or running water at the site, and long drive from town. Wound up eating our lunch on the return bus due to time and made last tender to ship by only 20 minutes. Our tour guides were friendly and helpful but don’t feel the tubing trip was worth $90.Written 14 December 2024
- X4006YVrhondah0 contributionsAmazingOnce we got on the road our trip was amazing. Our guides were very informative regarding local plants and the men in the group even ate termites. My husband loved it. We had our kids (20's) in another group and their guides didn't give as much info regarding local history and plants. Fred and Alex were amazing and helped me with steps (foot surgery), they were patient and didn't make me feel bad. 5 stars to Fred and Alex, lunch was amazing too!!!Written 26 November 2024
- V3780KTluizc0 contributionsWonderful cave tubing experience!Just did the Crystal Cave and cave tubing tour with Fred and Alex. Great experience from the time we left the dock, to the hike through the jungle and our time in the caves. Highly recommend!! Very relaxing learning experience. Very knowledgeable guides. Unbelievable nature setting that is extremely well preserved. Thank you!!!Written 26 November 2024
- MichelleD4720 contributionsAmazing dayWe loved our Lamani tour. The river was beautiful with lots of birds and a crocodile. Brenda, our guide, provided lots of great information about the mayan site and the people. She was very knowledgeable and interesting. We saw lots of monkeys and an iguana, but the highlight was seeing a jaguarundi. An absolutely wonderful dayWritten 23 November 2024
- 869maryy0 contributionsKnowledgeable, eventful, and relaxing day! (Solo trip w/ Freb).Guide was very knowledgeable and attentive to details. Freb made my solo trip very customized and comfortable. From beating the crowds to get to the best photo spots, taking me to the secret hidden gems in normally well travelled areas, to sharing his knowledge about the local customs, flora and fauna. We did a lot in a day yet I felt quite relaxed and not rushed at all. Would definitely do it again!Written 13 November 2024
- jimmygY3585BD0 contributionsExperience of a Lifetime!Amazing private tour! Our tour guide, Freddie, was incredible!! He made our experience amazing and exceeded our expectations. This excursion was the best excursion we’ve ever been on. Don’t be afraid to book this because you’re on a cruise. They make sure you get back to your ship!! The views were spectacular and it was truly an experience of a lifetime!!!Written 2 October 2024
- HerbDaddy0 contributionsDefinitely worth it!Took a early morning Cave tour, picked up right in time by Naziel, the young man was well versed in his Countries history. We were very impressed with him. He gave us points of interest along the ride, he did a hell of a job during the Cave portion of the tour. Got us back to the hotel safely mid afternoon. Would definitely recommend him and this Company.Written 25 September 2024

Great tour guide and only the two of us on the city tour. Conducted in SUV and not a van so worked out very well as we went at our pace with the driver. The rum factory was part museum, part manufacturing site and part rum taste tasting. Would go again.

The pickup was a little tricky, but we found our tour guide. Merritt is a great and patient tour guide. He took us to some of the best spots for photos. The Rum factory was great. I loved their rum cakes... I will definitely do this tour again.

A few days ago we were in Belize City, returning from an excursion at the Lamanai temple ruins. We had just missed a ferry to Caye Caulker, leaving us with approximately an hour and 30 minutes to spare. We received strong encouragement to embark on a city tour, which we successfully completed in approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. They assured us that a trained guide, well-versed in the history of both the city and the country, would accompany us on the tour. We were told that Richard Lord, our guide, was the best guide available. We agreed, and off we went.
We began by gathering information about the murals located around the corner from the water taxi port. We stopped for pictures at the Belize sign. We received the history lesson on the lighthouse. We proceeded towards the hotel district and beyond. We learned about the school and church connections on the island. We learned about the five stop lights in town and were able to experience four of them. Our limited time prevented us from visiting the bar. We got out of the car and walked a couple of the sites because we had the time, particularly the oldest Anglican church in Central America. We learned quite a bit on our brief tour and saw examples of how people live at every social and economic station in life in the city. We were blessed to do our tour this past Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Taking our tour on a Sunday allowed us to go along at a reasonable pace and not feel rushed. How do we do the tour during rush hour or another busy time for the city? This also meant that certain businesses and places were closed, but I don't know that that negatively impacted our tour. We highly recommend the tour for anyone that wants to see the multifaceted nature of Belize City.

Did not appreciate driver being on the phone constantly while taking us places. While he did point out cultural points I thought it was rude to be on cell .

Narcisco was awesome. We learned about Belize history, native plants, trees, and wild life. He took us around the island through different neighborhoods. The tour was relaxing, but wished the air conditioner worked better in the van. The rum factory was cool and the rum was really good.
