BEWARE: TOUR NOT AS ADVERTISED
Nov 2021 • Couples
The driver was very knowledgeable, although when we said the tour was not what we paid for, including transport back to DC, he threatened to turn around if we were going to request a refund. The tour was not as listed in description and there was no transportation back to the pickup destination. We were left at Arlington Cemetary to figure out a way back to Washington DC.

Stunning views, great tour
Dr. Zohery has his PhD in communications and has wealth of knowledge in US history. In addition to the audio guide provided by the site, Dr. Zohery gave us a brochure, map, and texted an audio info about Washington’s Mt. Vernon that was excellent for first time visitors to prioritize what to see. Be aware, he does have an accent; however, my husband had no difficulty understanding him. (We are 65+) Bus was clean and well air conditioned.

This is a basic tour.
This was a good tour. Pros: small group in a small van, the ride is about a half hour from D.C., a total of three hours is allotted at Mount Vernon,, which is a good amount of time to see most everything, the view from Mount Vernon over the Potomac is spectacular and not to be missed, Mount Vernon has an audio tour so bring ear buds. Cons: the driver is not really a tour guide. He does provide some historical information on the drive, but you are on you own at Mount Vernon, the van makes one stop in Old Alexandria at a church - that’s it.

A Shuttle Service to Mt. Vernon and not really a tour...
Aug 2021
This tour is basically a shuttle service to Mt. Vernon and back. We had two different drivers on the way-up and back, so they were not on the same page when it comes to what was covered by each other. Also, our drivers really didn't offer much insight to Mt. Vernon or Alexandria and it's history. On the way the tour guide didn't even use a microphone, so road noise and people talking made it impossible to clearly hear them talk about the sites. We were told we'd have the opportunity to stop at Christ Church in Alexandria, but that didn't happen. We breezed through Alexandria on the way up and back with no real opportunity to see the sites accept from a moving van as we drove by. On the way back one person got off the van since they wanted to spend more time in Alexandria and they could clearly see this tour wasn't going to offer this. As far as Mt. Vernon, they drop you off and pick you up. You get about 2 hrs to see all of Mt. Vernon which is barely enough time. I would recommend driving yourself and skipping this if possible, but if you just need a ride to Mt. Vernon this is your shuttle service.

Fun but can was cramped
Jul 2021 • Couples
Drive yourself if you can. We booked the tour but the van was cramped. We learned a some from the tour guide going and coming but you got to wander for about 2 hours after you saw the house.
