Fantastic tour, however the pre tour experience was slightly disappointing, especially when compared to competing Segway tour company(ies) in the area. And there’s no bathroom in the premises, so make sure you arrive early enough to find the nearest public bathroom before your tour starts. Tour guide was incredibly informative and passionate about what he does, however not the nicest guy and willing to take many risks, once you’ve signed their waiver and “training” document. I would recommend it for people with at least a couple of hours of solid Segway experience and/or if the competing tour companies are already booked.

I loved this experience, it really made the entire trip worthwhile just for this. Bill (our Segway guide) was great at keeping everyone safe and talking about all the major sites in the Mall.
The beginning was great as we had time to get used to the Segways, learn the ropes and practice before we hit the cycle paths and walking paths. I felt very Safe. Getting to see Martin Luther King Jr II, the capital building, Lincoln memorial and many others was awesome.
Bill was the best tour guide I have had on any trip, friendly, knowledgeable, and ensured the entire group had a great trip. It was one of the highlights of coming to D.C and I highly recommend them.

We had the best time on our Segway tour! Our guide, Josh, made sure we felt comfortable riding and maneuvering the Segways before we began our tour. He was very helpful in teaching us how to ride them as well. We had a great time because the guided tour is so comprehensive. We hit all the major monuments in DC (e.g. White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial) and since we had some extra time at the end, Josh took us around the tidal basin so we could see the MLK and Jefferson Memorials. Josh also took some time at each stop to provide background information/history about the monument so we learned a ton as well. Overall, highly recommend this as a fun way to explore and learn so much about DC. Josh was an excellent guide who helped to make this tour even better. 10/10! Thanks for a great experience!

Awesome experience! We had such a great time and saw so much of DC in our 2.5 hour tour. Bill, our tour guide, has lived in DC for over 40 years and was very knowledgeable of the monuments and city history. Segway instruction was quick and easy and they are so much fun to ride. A must do!

Having ridden Segway kit in several countries and cities around the world, it was surprising that a 2.5 hour tour started with 30 minutes of training. One trainer (the tour guide Joe) was assigned to the group of 9 whilst two other employees remained in the office on their personal electronic devices. As such, some unusual training was taking place that proposed one handed operation, delivered in a more than militaristic manner would put me off going again. The tour guide was short tempered with the training then softened once the tour started. Unfortunately when we happened upon a site his speech delivery was so fast, it was difficult to ascertain much of the detail. At one point we detoured to be able to view an albino squirrel that lived in the park. As such, it was disappointing that not a lot of the historical information was imparted and as such felt little more benefit than when it started as the group dynamic was more ‘abuse victim’ collective due to the delivery. Apparently we paid for that too . . .

Our tour guide, Judy, gave us good individual instruction on how to use the Segways before our tour. Judy was very knowledgeable about the monuments, buildings, and sites around Washington. The tour was the highlight of our day in Washington. I would recommend it even if you have been to Washington before.

This Segway tour was more than we expected. Our guide Joe was very knowledgeable about DC and Segways. He picked a loop tour of all the highlights around the mall and tidal basin that was informative and smoothly negotiated with our Segways. His enthusiasm for his work was obvious and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We would highly recommend touring with Joe.

When I booked the tour, it stated there will be bottled water & snacks provided. No one was given water or snacks. I was getting dehydrated and tried to stop at a water fountain, but the tour guide said "We are on a time here, so we gatt keep moving".
SO GLAD the water fountain at the Lincoln Memorial was an option.

The Segway tour was a great way to see the sights surrounding the Capitol Mall. We did it our first night in town and it really helped acclimate us to where the various Smithsonian museums are situated. We had a chance to see the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam Memorial, the WWII Memorial and other sights. Plus, the Segways were just plain fun!

This was my 1st time riding a Segway PT, but within 5 minutes I felt very comfortable and it was easy, safe and natural to operate. This 2.5 hours tour (including Segway training time) provided a great overview of many famous and important sites in DC. Judy (tour guide) was very safety-conscious and knowledgeable and provided excellent narration and explanations. This tour was fun, educational and a great value. I highly recommend it!

Sorry, just saw this question. Riding is on the side walks. The tour guide is excellent in getting people and cars to
stop while crossing a street. They give excellent I instruction before riding.
