Day Trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine from Krakow including Lunch
From US$82.46
Overview
Tick off two of Krakow’s top attractions in just one day on a hassle-free day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. As well as guaranteeing your entry to both of these often sold-out landmarks, this tour includes all entrance fees, hotel pickup, and lunch. Plus, during the journey to Auschwitz, stay occupied with an onboard documentary about the Nazi concentration camp.
What to Expect

Your tour begins with hotel pickup in the morning. Once aboard your air-conditioned coach, watch a documentary about the Nazi concentration camps of Europe.

On arrival at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, join a tour with an official guide, and learn about the history of the Holocaust. Then, transfer to Birkenau, the neighboring complex, to continue your tour with the same guide.

In between the two attractions, enjoy a boxed lunch.

For the second part of the day, explore the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of the oldest working salt mines in the world. Descend to the subterranean tunnels via a wooden stairway, and explore chambers filled with salt carvings and statues.

This guided tour concludes with drop-off at your Krakow hotel.

Really informative & definitely a must do!

We were picked up at the hotel. Our driver, Thomas was really friendly and safe. We watched a documentary video during our ride to the Auschwitz which gave a bit of history before, during and after liberation. It was informative. When we got there, we...More

Great Tour. Historic.

Very good tour which starts and ends with been dropped to your hotel. Very historic and well worth a visit. Lots of walking involved so make sure you bring water. Would say it should be number one on your list when visiting Krakow

A historical and thought provoking day

From the moment our driver picked us up from the Santi Hotel in Krakow early this morning, we were looked after exceptionally well. Everything ran like clockwork. Even the weather behaved. When we left Krakow, the heavens were dropping every drop of moisture from them....More

I thought the tour guide was joking when he said about paying to take photos in the salt mine - was I supposed to pay for real?

Hi, I'm not sure, but I imagine that if you book just Auschwitz tour without the Salt Mines you could spend longer there, but I imagine a lot of tour groups will allocate a specific amount of time. There are lots of peeple... More

I would suggest you do 2 separate trips as there is a lot of walking involved at both places also the guides move very quickly. Also at salt mines 800 steps to go down.
