Half-Day Trip to Kutna Hora and the Ossuary from Prague
US$55.79
Overview
Visiting UNESCO-protected Kutna Hora from Prague usually means a full-day guided trip or traveling independently by car, train, or bus to explore on your own. This tour covers Kutna’s highlights, including the bone-decorated Ossuary, in just over half a day, saving you time and hassle. Plus, entrance fees are included and you explore with a guide so you leave with a full lowdown on Kutna’s history. You'll see more than if you toured independently and you won't lose your bearings.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from your Prague hotel, when you board an air-conditioned coach bound for UNESCO-listed Kutna Hora, one of the Czech Republic’s most beautiful and historical towns. Then, sit back and enjoy Bohemia’s countryside and the onboard Wi-Fi as you travel.

Once in Kutna, take a tour of St. Barbara's Church, a showpiece of the town and regarded as one of central Europe’s most impressive late-Gothic churches. Admire its intricate ornamentation and learn how it served as a symbol for Kutna’s bygone silver miners. Then, stroll through the history-steeped old town with your guide, stopping to admire and learn about the landmarks around the cobbled squares.

Lastly, visit the Sedlec Ossuary, famous for its decorations shaped from more than 40,000 medieval human bones. Hear how the chapel and its bone-furnishings came to be before returning to Prague, where your experience finishes with a hotel drop-off.

Loved the bone church but the tour was rushed

I enjoyed the tour but would have really like a bit more time in each place. Overall, the tour was very rushed and even our guide spoke quite quickly. We only had about 15 -20 minutes in the bone church and area which included any...More

Not worth the money.

There's two parts to the review, Kunta Hora and the Ossuary, and the guided tour. For the Kuntr Hora and the Ossuary part, then it's definitley worth a visit, lovely part of the world with a decent amount to see. I'd certainly say it's worth...More

This is a really great combo for an interesting day and worth taking the time. A mix of macabre, elegant and fascinating. Enjoy your time there.

Nice tour

We enjoyed this tour. We wanted to see the bone church but once inside it felt weird to see all the bone art. To think 40,000 people’s bones are decorations and it was approved by the Catholic Church no less is just strange. They are...More
