What to Expect

After pickup from your Noosa, Sunshine Coast, or Rainbow Beach hotel, pass through Cooloola Recreation Area and stop in Tin Can Bay for dolphin viewing. Then ferry over to Fraser Island (spotting more marine life along the way), where you spend two days taking in the best of the world’s largest sand island, traveling along its beach highway and rugged tracks in a sturdy 4WD vehicle.

Your guide shares commentary about the UNESCO-listed island’s history and wildlife as you visit highlights including Seventy-Five Mile Beach, Pile Valley, Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, Indian Head, the Pinnacles, Rainbow Gorge, and the SS Maheno shipwreck. Spot wild animals such as eagles, dingoes, rays, whales (seasonal), and more.

great way to see Fraser island

Our driver Brock has a great knowledge of the area and his beach driving skills are top class.Lake Mckenzie was a good stop for an afternoon.Also the forest walk and attractions were worth the visit.

A few things we didn't like about the tour but Fraser Island is amazing and you must visit!

Too much time wasted swimming - which you can do anywhere! Would have liked to see more of the island, farther north and a stop at Eurong perhaps instead, although I know other people on the tour (especially the younger tourists) liked the opportunity to...More

Hi - We stayed in Noosa Heads at an airbnb (the house and hosts were absolutely amazing!), and we got picked up at 6.15am from the jetty, which was only a few minutes drive from where we stayed. Hope that helps!
