Fraser Island 4WD Tour from Noosa or Rainbow Beach
US$136.94
Overview
Explore the rugged beauty of Fraser Island by 4-wheel drive on this full-day tour from Noosa or Rainbow Beach. The UNESCO World Heritage–listed marvel is the world’s largest sand island, with an abundance of wildlife, lakes, beaches, and cliffs formed from colored sand. Stop at favorite destinations including Lake McKenzie, Seventy-Five Mile Beach, and the Pile Valley rain forest. Tour includes snacks, lunch, and round-trip transportation from your hotel.
What to Expect

After morning pickup at your Sunshine Coast hotel, drive through Cooloola Recreation Area, an Aboriginal site that is the gateway to Fraser Island. Have morning tea at Rainbow Beach before boarding the ferry, then begin your 4-wheel-drive tour upon arrival at the island.

The planet’s largest sand island covers 710 square miles (1,840 square kilometers) and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide takes you through a range of rugged off-road terrain in the purpose-built 4WD with large viewing windows.

Stop for short walks or a swim at natural attractions such as Seventy-Five Mile Beach, Lake McKenzie, and the Pile Valley rain forest. Keep an eye out for island wildlife such as dingoes, birds, and whales as you journey through rain forest and along the coast.

Your tour includes informative commentary from your guide, along with a picnic lunch, snacks, and return transportation to your hotel.

6 will be fine, the drive is bumpy, once you get onto the island but it is worth it. On our trip their were a few little ones around her age. Enjoy your trip, it’s fantastic.

I would say not, the track inside Fraser gets very bumpy and it’s a very long day.
