    Brilliant day!
A wonderful day, such lovely sailing. Whitehaven beach was beyond belief and Clayton was a fantastic tour guide helping point out the gorgeous stingrays. Lovely BBQ lunch with so much food! Really enjoyed the snorkelling - more coral than fish but it was all beautiful. Highly recommend.

    Big day but very enjoyable.
The crew were great and surprised that we had a morning tea, and then on Whitehaven had a small shade tent for the kids, paddle boards, kids toys, cricket, stinger suits included as part of the deal. Was also really good to see Hamilton Island and had a good lunch and relaxing half day. Very well organised from begining to end.

    Bad Service & Rude Staff
Very confusing communication about departure times caused us to not be able to receive the service paid for. Company refused to give a reasonable refund and advised they are happy to let customers miss out and not contact to check on status as they’re too busy.

    Don’t get fooled
We were extremely disappointed. marketed as being a chill, relax cruise, perfect for couples etc, this is a pure lie. You are more than 70 people on a boat where you are all looking for a place to sit down, impossible to lie down and sunbathe, you are like in summer camp, with a timed and useless program. you don't go to whiteheaven beach, you only see it in the distance. the food on board is of very poor quality, the open bar is not available all day but at certain short times the snorkeling spot is actually not one because you do not see any fish or seabed, you go out like a colony, one after the other, there are far too many of you to enjoy and the entertainment is worthy of a camping club.

    Don't miss this experience!
Loved this cruise. We purposely picked this over the fast boats to enjoy the leisurely sail to Whitehaven Beach. The tour team was helpful and professional. The lunch was abundant and tasty. We had adequate time to enjoy Whitehaven Beach. The best part was enjoying the open bar on the way back while laying on netting between the pontoons soaking up the sun and scenery. Highly recommend!

Incredible Experience For A Solo Traveller
An incredible experience with an awesome crew. I was super nervous to get in the open water but the crew were so kind - I ended up doing a 40 min solo snorkel as well as an intro dive. Ido was amazing on our scuba dive and really took care of me, as well as Lauren who was a ray of sunshine the whole day ☀️

Tour cancel at the last minute.
Extremely disappointing. We only had one day to stay on Hamilton Island and booked a half day morning tour to go to Whitehaven beach. We booked this tour months in advanced but we received an email the day before starting our tour was cancelled with no reasoning provided. I had to call several times before I could get an answer where they stated the boat had a mechanical issue but the afternoon tour and full day tour would still available. We could not attend those tours as we had another connecting ferry to catch to go to Long Island. I was also told I couldn’t get a refund because I had booked through another agent so I had to contact them for any refunds. That meant we also had to pay extra to get another ferry to Port of Airlie. Completely disappointed, a very bad experience that ruined our whole birthday trip. Ps: it also ruined my dream proposal on Whitehaven beach. Now I have to rebook a whole new trip but will definitely use a different company.

a comfortable ride from the cruise ship
We were on a cruise and had to tender from the cruise ship into Airlie Beach. The cruise company used Cruise Whitsunday to take a lot of the passengers into town. Others went in by the ships lifeboats which were very hot and crowded , that ride took about 45minutes, the Cruise Whitsunday boats only took about 15 minutes , far more comfortable, cooler and they moved a lot more people in one go.

    Brilliant
We loved this. Three hours each way to the reef, but worth every minute. Well organised, friendly staff, nice food (and plentiful), and the snorkelling felt well organised and safe. I am surprised at some of the reviews here that seem to expect the organisers to control the weather, sea conditions or breaks in the coral. We must have had good sailing conditions as I didn’t see anyone suffering sea sickness. Would highly recommend!

    Superb trip to the reef
What a great trip! 2 families of 4 with kids from 9-16 in age. The staff were superb and knew exactly how to plan the day. Food was great and at the right time. Snorkeling spot was probably the only downside as visibility and viewing was poor ( hardly the tour operators fault). Whitehaven beach was as stunning as always though! The overall vide of the trip was excellent and the Camira is a superb boat, just gutted we couldn’t sail due to the wind. Thoroughly recvomended

    Disappointing
The whole point of this trip is to see the Great Barrier Reef. We had fine weather, but the trip to and from the pontoon was almost 2 hours each way. This was as expected, but nonetheless is a long part of the day. The time on the pontoon is about 4 hours. There were over 200 people travelling and half of the upper deck is reserved for those doing the Reef sleepover (about a dozen), so conditions are cramped to put it mildly. The snorkelling is disappointing - the reef here is in a bad state - they try to tell you it is normal, but even one of the marine biologists said this part was being used as a sacrificial reef, to educate people into caring for the reef as a whole. There was a lot of dead, damaged coral. Food was average, but with 200+ mouths to feed we weren’t expecting much. Staff were very good throughout. Cruise Whitsundays have more or less got the monopoly if you are staying on Hamilton Island & I’m afraid it shows. Our advice, if you can, is to enjoy the reef via a trip on one of the many boats from Cairns for the same money or less. We experienced one a few days after this trip and there really was no comparison:- Smaller numbers - ours had 71 passengers with a maximum of 75, not 200+. 1 hour each way to get to the reef, rather than 2 hours. Therefore 6 hours in two reef locations, rather than 4 hours off the pontoon. No barriers or ropes to restrict where you went - they kept an eye on us and people used common sense. On the Cruise Whitsundays trip, because there were so many people in a small area, some went outside the permitted area and the crew were constantly shouting to people, which did nothing for the experience for anyone. The quality of the reef was like chalk & cheese. Both locations on this second boat had lots of coral, in good condition. The food was better on the other trip. We had fine weather and I would not recommend. If the weather is poor, this trip could become a complete disaster.

    Magical experience
An absolutely magical experience!! The staff are phenomenal, the food is 5* delicious, the sunset/ sunrise/ stars/ snorkelling/ reef.. every single moment was pure magic. As an avid traveller this is one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. 100% would recommend, worth every single penny.

Great way to see both islands in one day
It was a very easy and organised ride to and back. The company set up a mini bar with hamburgers on white haven beach. they also provided you with mini pop up tents for the beach, which you must get before they run out, as there is literally nothing on the beach, just a strip of sand, so go prepared. Hamilton beach, the food at marina tavern which the tour insists you get was very average. I would recommend you book a buggy/ golf cart privately before hand so you can get around the island and go to cats bay where the beach is. A good trip if you are short on time.

    Really.. just do it
Oh wow what an experience, we left from Hamilton Island as a part of 60th birthday celebrations and they certainly looked after us. Kym, Kailey, Page, Tea, Tom Paul and on the way home Alex are totally amazing. Nothing was a problem from the minute we boarded the pontoon until we arrived home. Sleeping under the stars was next level as was waking up to the beautiful sunrise. The food is next level and so is the coffee. Being able to snorkel when the crowds have gone is something special and the different sea life that you see when the boat leaves and before it returns is a highlight. I travel a lot and this is one of the most amazing experiences I have had I don't feel that my review gives this place the justice it deserves. It is more than worth the money you will spend not only for the experience but the accommodation and food and everything else. Thank you all for making my birthday so special.

Called up 48 hours before trip as you are supposed to, asked them if it would all go ahead as we could see it was going to be windy , they said yes all going to plan
Went to check in and we were told it was cancelled but we’d get a refund
I asked what about our flights, hotels, car hire, expenses and time off work, she just shrugged
Asked her where my family are going to stay that night now , again just a shrug
She said claim on insurance, I said flights, car hire, hotels weren’t cancelled so can’t claim, she said , can’t control the weather,
So we spent the day hunting for a place to stay
This was a trip for my husband’s 50th that I’d been planning since September last year
The days we were going the wind was 52km per hour and they could see that so should have said don’t come when I called to confirm 48hours before
Yesterday I see the winds were 14km per hour and guess what ! They have an alert on their website saying trips are cancelled
Where was my duty of care from them ???
How can they give notice of cancellation for less winds than we had and yet not for us
Absolute disgrace
This was a once in a lifetime trip for us
Utterly devastating

We are sincerely sorry that you feel that we provided you with bad customer service with no duty or care. I have reviewed the period around your feedback and can see we were experiencing less than ideal weather. It is never Cruise Whitsundays intention to cancel our products, however, we would never purposefully operate in unsafe conditions. Unfortunately, on the day of your booking, conditions were worse than the initial forecast forcing us to cancel. As per Cruise Whitsundays terms and conditions our liability is limited to the fare paid to us if we cancel. I am sure that had you requested assistance in finding accommodation our team would have been available to help once they had finalised cancelling all guests for the day. Once again, I am sincerely sorry for your disappointment and hope you still got to celebrate your husbands birthday in Airlie Beach.

You can't really put into words how amazing it is to be sitting on a pontoon in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef looking out, spotting schools of bait fish and the jumping reef fish having their dinner, or spotting a turtle popping up metres away getting a breath of the fresh sea air.
And then on top of that, you have exceptional service from Andy and his whole team who were on board with us, they do an exceptional job and work very hard to make our stay memorable, Andy's passion for his job and the reef is motivational and he really helps you to relax.
The Chef provided amazing, tasty and fresh food. The Suites themselves are some thing to behold, I mean what's not to like (don't expect to sleep as you'll just want to watch the fish all night).
I would 100% go back and spend some more time with Andy and the team, perhaps we will do the reef sleep next time

This is such a special experience. From the moment we stepped on the boat, pontoon, then brought to our underwater suite, everything's so magical.
Sleeping in the reefsuite is so comfortable, but if the bed wasn't comfy enough (it is SOOO comfy!), counting the fish swimming fast would definitely make you fast asleep! And this is probably the only sleep I wouldn't mind waking up frequently throughout, just to check what's outside the glass window a.k.a fish discovery channel (a massive male grouper named George loves to hang out at night, his girlfriends are more elusive but we did see Georgina).
Plenty of activities; snorkelling will treat your eyes with colorful fish and corals. Hardy reef is plentiful and rich in natural wonders. Diving is even better and the diving instructors for the introductory dives are amazing!! They literally hold your hands throughout the dive and make you feel safe (thank you, Ali)

The food is 5 star (the chef is 5 star!! Thank you Chef Dom!).
The crews do not have the word "difficult" in their dictionary, every request, every service delivered professionaly and with smile.
Most of all, the pontoon manager, Andy, easily will triple the five star review. He is the absolute gem, the diamond, the shining star! (and not just because he kept refilling our wine glasses!)

If you're looking to do something very special for yourself or to be enjoyed with your loved ones, this is it!

This was an amazing once in a lifetime experience, made even better by Andy and his amazing crew, who go above and beyond to make sure that it is your trip of a lifetime. Incredible views, amazing wildlife, scrumptious food & amazing atmosphere. If you have ever wanted to see part of the Great Barrier Reef, in all her colours and moods, this is definitely the way to do it. This was a birthday gift for my other half and it certainly delivered a memorable birthday. Thanks to the other wonderful guests with overnight for your great company. If this is on your bucket list, just book it now. The view from your Reefsuite windows will keep you relaxed, but wanting to stay awake.

We have had a lot of memorable t travel experiences, and this one was great. Unfortunately we had not such nice weather. However it certainly didn't ruin the weekend .
I think the reef suites are great value, especially as it is 2 full days. The snorkel safari is included as well. Scuba is extra, but what an amazing opportunity to try it. I never could have done it, without someone holding my hand. Amazing.
They do think of everything, with priority boarding and seating on the trip out, and once you check out of your suite you have an allocated day bed to use until just before departure.
Paired with a great (if small) room and generous food and drinks its a great, memorable experience.

To celebrate my 50th Birthday we went with friends to the Great Barrier Reef and spent the night in the Reef Suites on Reef World . A world class experience that I would highly recommend, I was absolutely blown away. We were spoilt by Jaz, Summah and the food prepared by Dom was 5 star. In regards to the included drinks you definitely won’t go thirsty. Thanks for making my Birthday so special.

Now let me start with the room, the photos you see just don’t do it justice. At night the water just comes alive with so many fish, just absolutely magical. When you read it will be hard to sleep as there is so much to look at is so true. A glass of red whilst lying on the bed watching the fish go by…..doesn’t get much better than this.

Definitely an experience I will never forget. I would highly recommend a “bucket list” activity that the memories will last a lifetime.
