Overview
Watch whales dive and play on a whale-watching cruise from Hervey Bay. Cruising in a catamaran specially designed for whale watching, enjoy  encounters with majestic humpback whales from the viewing platform or underwater windows. Get more out of your wildlife encounter with experienced staff to guide you, and hear a detailed commentary about whales and their marine environment.
Highlights
  • Spot whales from the boat’s special viewing platform; sightings guaranteed
  • Listen to the whales sing using the on-board hydrophones
  • Toys and activities for smaller kids are available on board
  • Morning or afternoon tea is included
What to Expect
Head to Great Sandy Straits Marina to meet your guide and board the specially designed air-conditioned whale-watching catamaran. Then, sail out to Hervey Bay, a popular whale-watching destination in Queensland, Australia, while learning about the marine mammals from your guide. Spot humpback whales in their natural habitat either through the boat’s underwater viewing windows or on its outdoor platform. Whale sightings are guaranteed; if you don't spot any you’ll be able to book another Hervey Bay cruise for a different day. The catamaran is also equipped with hydrophones so you can hear the whales sing. Tea and coffee with biscuits and cake are served on the way out to the bay, while an antipasto platter to share is provided on the cruise back to the marina. Drinks from the bar are available for purchase as well. Plus, take home a free whale-watching DVD at the end of the tour.
