Overview
Book ahead to ensure your slot at Queenstown's original bungee jumping location on the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge. This popular activity often sells out in advance, and it's best to reserve in advance to avoid disappointment. Travelers of all fitness levels can participate, as you’ll receive orientation and safety briefings from the guides, and you can choose from multiple jump options to suit your taste and budget.
What to Expect
Make your way to the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, located about 25 minutes outside of Queenstown in the Gibbston Valley. The site of the original Queenstown bungee jump, this bridge and operator have safely seen over a million commercial bungee jumps.

Meet your guide at the bungee center, where you'll listen to a comprehensive safety briefing and orientation. The rigorous safety procedures ensure that jumpers of all sizes, abilities, and body types can jump safely. Climb into a specialized harness, gather your courage, and leap. Descend 141 feet (43 meters) in just five seconds over the glacier-fed Kawarau River. You can choose to jump with another person, somersault, or hurtle from the edge backward. When you reach the bottom, you can even touch the water or go all the way under.

Upon departure, you'll be presented with a commemorative T-shirt, and photos or videos are available for sale.
