Four mature ladies biked nearly 50 k around the bays and up to the Wind Turbines. It was awesome.. The bikes were great. I would recommend the full size mountain bike for this trip

Wellington is surprisingly very bike friendly, lovely bays to bike around (all very different), great cafes along the way, views, everything. The bike was perfect, came with a sturdy locking chain, large zip pannier, helmet, gloves. The seat was wide and comfortable. Very good map (although the print was very small) and excellent instructions from the staff member.,

What an OUTSTANDING day! We are not regular cyclists but felt totally prepared and expertly instructed and went on to have a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. I don't think I stopped smiling the whole day. The bikes were of excellent quality and we felt safe and visible. I didn't want to give the bike back - I loved the day so much. We would thoroughly recommend Switched On Bikes wholeheartedly. Thank you.

What an outstanding experience this is! I wanted to know if I might purchase an e-bike in the future and wanted to try a suitable bike. It was just the most amazing experience. These guys have got it sorted!! I was matched with a bike to suit my needs, explanations were full and informed and at all times, staff were friendly and helpful. The bike itself is the best I have ever ridden - obviously maintained and presented to me, the client, in the best possible condition to make my experience awesome, which it was. A HUGE THUMBS UP to this company and for inspiring me to look at a purchase. We all need to do our bit to help our environment and this is one fantastic way to make our contribution. Encourage this business - they are so worthy of our support.

So much fun. Really kind staff to set you up - maps provided all the possible routes to take around the bays. Electric bikes meant we could ride through the wellington wind with ease + the bikes were suitable for some smaller and hilly tracks. Highly recommend!!!

We wanted to explore this lovely city but I was tired after a lot of travelling so my daughter walked it and I decided to use Switched on Bikes.

It was a great decision!

I got to see more sights and even made it to the top of Victoria Hill without stopping.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and after a quick safety tutorial I was off to enjoy myself.

I'll certainly do it again!

Switched On Bikes provided fantastic service, a great bike and lots of useful advice and information. I thought the rental charge was very reasonable for a full day out on a quality ebike from a most convenient location. I thought the online route suggestions were very helpful and helped me plan my day. I chose to take the nearby ferry to Days Bay and after a coffee in Eastbourne I cycled out to the lighthouse and track beyond. On getting back off the ferry I enjoyed cycling the Wellington waterfront before returning my bike. A really enjoyable day out and I’m glad I chose an ebike as there was a big headwind coming back from the lighthouse.

Best idea I’ve had recently. I mean, I feel like a genius. Thanks to the preplanning we did at HQ, I saw things I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Thanks to the great bike, I was able to put in about 30 miles much of it up hills the likes of which I’ve never encountered before.

You’ll want to go out past the airport and follow the road around the point there past Shelly Bay and Scorching Bay.

Shorter version, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience.

The electric bikes were a great way to see Wellington. The shop is easy to get to from the cruise ship. Eric set us up perfectly and even personalized the map he gave us to include great views and a yummy lunch spot. My husband loves bicycle riding and I’m a novice but the route worked well for both of us. I highly recommend this activity and company.

Great experience of going around the bays in Wellington. Great service and great bikes. After 30+ km, only burned 25% of battery. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
