What an incredible experience, the whole crew made sure we were having a great and safe experience (thanks legends) and the most important part is the spot, the Rangitaiki River is absolutely stunning, the rapids go along this magical forest that is just breathtaking. If you are in Rotorua, you must do this

We had such a great time rafting! Everything was really well organised and informative! Our guide Cam was brilliant not only did we all get down the river safely whilst having a great time, he gave us greats facts/knowledge of the area and some bad cheese jokes whilst on our trip down the river! Glad we picked this particular river as it was perfectly suited for us.

What an amazing experience - we had a blast !! At the end of a lovely drive (about an hour) from Rotorua we met the rest of the group and got kitted out with the wet suits, boots and fleeces. Then in the minibus for a short ride to the start - on the way Cam (very good guide) gave a serious but essential safety briefing. As it turned out we didn't need any of the safety measures he outlined but it was good to know they place a high emphasis on customer safety - e.g. what to do if you fall out of the raft - in our case no-one did. Then onto the river - fantastic fun - we all paddled when asked by Cam and enjoyed the ride - the cat 3,4 rapids were challenging but not too scary and there are quiet patches where you just drift along and enjoy the scenery. This is a really enjoyable experience - worth the journey and good value. Cam (from Suffolk) did a great job.

The tour (grade 3-4) was funny, amazing views and great guides. We can only recommend this tour and company.

Great friendly and informative guide, beautiful scenery, and good weather for kayaking. Hot pool venue is great with a little snack shop. On weekdays not busy usually so place was mostly to ourselves! Great views from the hot pools and lovely beach. Marked down as 50% of hot pools not available as being cleaned, which we were not advised of at all (booking or on the day). However overall great experience! Would recommend.

Justin the owner was up beat and welcoming. The equipment excellent and i structions clear. We set off at a good pace and went over to the hot springs that can only be reaches by boat or kayack and mid week we were the only people there. The bird life and scenery was spectacular and Justin told stories of Mauri battles and culture in a very entertainment fashion. I would highly recommend for an excellent 1/2 day trip!

We had such an amazing time on the river. Even though it didn't go to plan on the 7 metre waterfall (we are positive that you said to go forward 😂 😂) . We all had lots of fun and laughs. Thanks Justin and Cam you were great guides. Great photographer as well. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves adredaline sports.

The Best Way To Explore The River & The Surrounding Area and River Rats is the way to go! They were on time and the 2 hours we spent rafting on the river were full of adventure, dips in cold water and fun puns from our amazing guide. Needless to say that I’m hooked and will definitely try this again!

Absolutely amazing experience. Serene native scenery punctuated with the thrill of riding through some very decent rapids. Jason, our guide, kept us on track with both wise words and great humour. He has the best job!! Thanks to him, and all the River Rats team, for making memories that my family will carry always!
