Melbourne is renowned as Australia’s top food city and the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant is one of its most memorable dining experiences. Hop aboard a vintage 1948 tramcar and dine on gourmet cuisine as you ride through Melbourne’s scenic southern neighborhoods. Choose between a delicious 3-, 4- or 5-course lunch or dinner, with drinks, dessert, and coffee all included.
What to Expect
Hop aboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, where you’ll be greeted by the maitre d’ and escorted to your table inside the plush air-conditioned carriages. Set out on a scenic journey through the historic districts of South Melbourne, looking out over the Yarra River, and enjoying views of St. Kilda, Prahran, and Malvern along the way.

Depending on the tour option selected, enjoy a 4-course lunch, 3-course dinner, or 5-course late dinner, and dine on delicious seasonal cuisine prepared on board and served by silver-service waiters. As you tuck into regional specialties, make the most of the open bar and gaze out over the city through the one-way windows.

Please note: The popularity of this tour means that availability changes daily and bookings are not confirmed until a confirmation email and tour voucher has been received. To avoid disappointment, please provide other possible dates upon booking. Special occasions such as Mother’s Day and New Year’s Eve can sell out several weeks in advance.

You have to book on line to the Melbourne Tramcar Restaurant. I don't own the tram car but was a patron. You will need to give plenty of notice.
