    A choice of walking trails ranging from lake side walks to Alpine eucalyptus forest with amazing views

    Stop At: Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, Tasmania Australia
    Walking in semi Alpine forests besides Lake St Clair
    Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

    Day 2: Lake St Clair to the Tarkine via the west coast

    Stop At: Donaghys Lookout, Lyell Highway Between the Franklin and Collingwood rivers, Franklin, Tasmania 7140 Australia
    Short hike through cool temperate rain forest to a look out or a waterfall (Weather dependent - waterfall option if cloudy or raining )
    Duration: 1 hour

    Stop At: Trial Harbour TAS 7469, Australia
    An excellent area for beach combing on the rugged coast line of Tasmania's west coast
    Duration: 2 hours

    Stop At: Corinna, Corinna, Tasmania
    We arrive at camp and set up and have some free time to explore this historic town
    Duration: 1 hour

    Day 3: Tarkine Rainforest

    Stop At: Corinna, Corinna, Tasmania
    We have a full day to explore the many activities on offer. Most morning usually start with an early canoe tour, followed by second breakfast. There are several rain forest walks that can be done individually or linked up to make one longer trail. Your guide will advise on best options to suit group and individuals

    Day 4: Tarkine to Cradle Mountain

    Stop At: Tullah, Tullah, Tasmania
    the first part of this day largely depends on weather. If we have not canoes yet we will do it this day before moving onto next area. Otherwise a lookout onto the overland track from the peaks above Tullah is a steep but memorable climb
    Duration: 2 hours

    Stop At: Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, Tasmania Australia
    We enter the park and have lunch and choose from the dozens of trails available. We usually combine one of the shorter tails with a walk around Dove Lake
    Duration: 3 hours

    Day 5: Cradle Mountain to Launceston

    Stop At: Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, Tasmania Australia
    Our last day is usually some combination of the trails depending on weather conditions. The ideal is the extended loop around Hanson's peak, the face track and back via Marions Look out. This is a classic taste of the semi alpine environment on Tasmanian's most famous destination
    The summit may be an option for fit groups who start early and has good weather forecast
    Duration: 5 hours

    Stop At: Launceston, Launceston, Tasmania
    Depending on how long we spent walking at Cradle Mountain we usually head back to Launceston to conclude the tour. A visit to the caves at Mole Creek is a wet weather back up option

    • Some sections may be subject to favorable weather conditions. Alternative activities will be planned
    • Walks are suitable for moderate fitness. Walks may be several shorter walks in a day or one longer walk up to 6 hours, but leaving plenty of time for lunch and enjoying the environment. Trails are in remote locations and sometimes uneven terrain but certainly achievable if you enjoy the outdoors
    • You only carry a day pack - car supported camping so it is lightweight
    • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

    If you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
