Small-Group Litchfield National Park Day Trip from Darwin
From US$71.65
Overview
Explore the natural attractions of Litchfield National Park on this small-group full-day tour from Darwin. Cool off at waterfalls that cascade from Tabletop Range, take a dip in natural pools such as Buley Rockhole, walk through a lush forest, check out hulking termite pillars, learn about local Aboriginal history, and hear commentary on Australian wildlife. This comprehensive tour includes a picnic barbecue lunch at a scenic location and round-trip transportation.
What to Expect

Get an early start from Darwin with hotel pickup and an easy 90-minute drive in an air-conditioned minivan to Litchfield National Park. On the way, stop to see the Magnetic and Cathedral termite mounds, which stand an impressive 20 feet (6 meters) tall and can be viewed from boardwalks nearby.

Continue into Litchfield National Park and visit many park highlights and scenic spots throughout the day. Stop at Florence Falls and Wangi Falls (seasonal) in the morning to swim in natural rock pools, then reenergize with a picnic barbecue lunch. In the afternoon, head to Buley Rockhole, where you can cool off and explore its series of waterfalls and swimming holes.

Your Litchfield tour ends with return to your hotel in Darwin in the early evening.

our tour left at 6 am and returned 5.30 pm...you may have to enjoy Darwin, The Botanic Gardens, they have a small but interesting museum. Or look up scenic flights which can also head off to Kakadu.
