Overview

Get up-close access to the jumping crocodiles of the Adelaide River on this river cruise from Darwin. With the expertise and supervision of a guide, you can safely be near the saltwater crocodiles as they jump for pieces of meat dangled over the side of your boat. On the tour you also visit the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve and peruse exhibits at Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre.

What to Expect

After convenient pickup at your Dawin hotel, travel to Adelaide Rivera in a comfortable tour vehicle.

Board a boat for a cruise where the main event is watching as your guide dangles meat over the edge of the boat to entice saltwater crocs to jump. Learn about their biology and behavior as you cruise, keeping an eye out for white-bellied sea eagles and whistling kites.

Back on land, visit the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre, with views over the surrounding area and educational displays.

The day's last stop is the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, home indigenous birds and reptiles.

Relax on the drive back to Darwin for drop-off.
