Overview
Navigating the full circumference of Uluru at sunrise is an ambitious feat, but it's possible with the leadership of a local guide and a hearty breakfast. This tour provides convenient predawn hotel pickup. Then set out for the 7.5-mile (12-kilometer) trek while listening to your guide's commentary and watching the sun rise. Stop mid-hike for a hearty picnic breakfast, surrounded by inspiring scenery.
Highlights
  • Experience the sunrise over Uluru with all the tour details taken care of
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off means you're not driving yourself in the predawn darkness
  • Supplied outback picnic breakfast to refuel mid-hike
  • Listen to detailed Anangu creation stories and facts about the monolith
What to Expect
Roll out of bed in the darkness and be thankful you're not in charge of navigation as you ride from the door of your accommodations to the base of Uluru.  At the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, begin your predawn walk along the 7.5-mile (12-kilometer) trail just as the sun starts to peek over the horizon. Listen to Tjukurpa (creation time stories) and learn of the Mala people along the Mala Walk to Kantju Gorge. Hear stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (sand python) on the way into the Mutitjulu Waterhole.  Stop mid-hike to refuel with a hearty picnic breakfast while watching the early morning light play on the huge monolith. Complete the hike and return to your resort for drop-off.

The best Uluru experience so far. Based on previous reviews looks like breakfast has been rescheduled to coincide with sunrise so plenty of time for photographs. Highly recommended.

Ryan was new to the role but delivered the stories and sights well, he was a thoughtful guide and we had a great experience. Small group tour but very varying fitness levels. Tour would be better with a sunrise view with breaky and comfort stop before setting off on a four
