    Disappointed
Very disappointed, we had no knowledge prior to going that the shark tunnel was closed. Also the whole experience we were in and out in 40 minutes. I have been to 3 other UK sealife centres and this one is the worst one out of the ones I had visited. Children were disappointed in the penguin enclosure as this was their favourite animal to see, they were quite far away and we only saw 2. We won’t be returning.

    RIP Off Sea Life
For starters I have a annual pass however since last year the mail shark tank has been closed for refurbished. This is a rip off as bought pass on promise that exhibits would be accessible for a year ! Let alone people paying full Price for half the exhibits

    Good but could be better!
Impressive displays despite the fact the tunnel is closed for restoration which we knew beforehand but all in all we still enjoyed our visit. On the down side we felt that admission charges were very high given a significant proportion of the attraction is closed which is offset by a half price voucher for later in 2025. However if you happen to live on an offshore island like us this isn't really helpful, perhaps that is the point? The most annoying thing was paying £15 for a photo package for one hard copy picture and 6 downloadable pictures which is verging on a con because a) the pictures are still not available online several weeks latter b) Sealife adapt a "not my problem guv" stance and refer you to the third party agent running this con, sorry option and c) Merlin Photos / Events Photo Team or whatever the most recent incarnation is don't respond to any emails including the link provided by Sealife! Conversely we do have one nice hard copy photo. On the plus side the staff are enthusiastic and engaging, the café is pleasant and reasonably priced, parking was easy (as would be expected in December) and it was a great way to while away a couple of hours. Conversely the whole experience could be made better with a bit more thought with 4 or 5 star rankings achievable, in its current state I would give it a 3.5

A great morning at the Sea Life Centre

    Educational and well presented aquarium
Staff were v informative and knowledgeable The displays were limited as the main walkway tunnel under the sharks was closed ( the main attraction) There was no reduction in tickets prices despite this which meant it was an expensive hours trip! There was a voucher for half price entry for the spring once the renovations completed

Sea life visit and Turtle experience!
Had a great morning out, my son did the Turtle experience. Great value for money and includes entrance ticket. The member of staff he was with was full of knowledge and had answers to the no end of questions she was asked by him. He ended the day with saying “That was the best day ever!”

    Mind Blowing
Brilliant, captivating, what an experience, value for money apart from the gift shop. Friendly staff, clean, tidy, not too busy. Free parking for disabled right outside and parking opposite which you have to pay, don't know how much though.

Over priced and a let down
We looked forward to visiting the sea life centre at great yarmouth this place was a disappointment the rooms are small as are the tanks it's too dark and gloomy also what spoils the visit is the tanks are in need of a good clean this along with. A. general feeling that it's. In need of a good clean all over it's greedy and unfair to be charging for toddlers this in my opinion is no more than corporate greed the the toys and food in the shop and cafe are over priced we wouldn't. visit again and don't consider this as a must see attraction

    Visit in the off-season
Probably worth visiting in the off-season when there's less visitors. You have to book online ahead of visiting, which means choosing a timeslot or spending more money on an 'anytime' day ticket. The website is rubbish on a mobile - booking tickets was a hassle. If tickets can't be bought on site, there really needs to be an app. As it was raining, we went for a spontaneous visit when it opened in the morning. It was really expensive (£50 for two adults!). Everyone must've had the same idea and were up early as it was incredibly busy. Feeding times/talks need to be better organised - there was a bottleneck and we were stuck in an area as people attending the turtle feeding/talk blocked the entrance and exit so we couldn't move.

Visited the sea life centre as a little family and we had such a lovely time.
Upon arrival we were advised the tunnel was closed which is unfortunate, however, we were given discount vouchers to return another day which we thought was nice,
The centre is spacious enough to navigate a pram around which is always handy.
The aquariums are beautiful, could stand there all day staring at them. The variety is fantastic as well as the information / fact files available to learn more about all the different species.
The staff were friendly as always, and we asked one member (Jamie) at the insect section to take a family photo and he had us all laughing and being silly which made for some great photos, including a sneaky selfie of himself which we didn’t realise until we left the centre. It just made us laugh and think what a lovely man.
Would recommend for a family day out as it’s so peaceful and just an enjoyable day out.

Hello jessicatT67131S Wow, what a fantastic review! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, and we're absolutely delighted to hear you had such a wonderful time at the Sea Life Centre. It's always a pleasure when families can enjoy a peaceful and fun day out together, and we're glad the spacious layout and variety of sea life helped make your visit special. We're sorry about the tunnel being closed, but we're thrilled that the discount vouchers made it easier to plan a return visit—can't wait to welcome you back! It's great to hear you loved the aquariums and the fact files too; we do our best to make sure there's always something new to learn and appreciate. A big shout-out to Jamie for making your visit even more memorable! It sounds like he really brought some fun to your day, and we're so glad he made you laugh and captured those priceless moments (including his sneaky selfie!). We visited today, and we enjoyed what we saw and the time we had but I couldn't believe how small it was! You pay the same amount as you pay to go to a zoo, this was a fraction of the size and honestly takes an hr to an hour and a half to go round it all and that includes having a good look in all tanks and sneaking to the insect man. Being able to come and go as often as you like is good. Gift shop prices absolutely extortionate and £13 for the cheapest photo option. It was fun but he whole place was a rip off.

Thank you for your review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit. Indeed, our attraction may be one of the smaller ones, but it boasts over 1,500 sea creatures and offers several talks throughout the day for our guests to enjoy. Did you know that your ticket allows unlimited entry throughout the day, enabling you to explore the centre multiple times? Our gift shop is a popular spot where many guests find a memento to commemorate their wonderful experience with us. We strive to provide a variety of gifts that cater to all ages, with prices starting at just £1.25. Additionally, we have special offers on photos for guests, including a 3-for-2 deal in the gift shop and children's meal deals in the restaurant. We do hope you visit again in the future

Our 18 month old had a good time, but we weren't there long! In and out in less than an hour due to tunnel and surrounding area being closed.
Frustrating that we are forced to return half price, rather than being offered entry at half price!
We aren't local, so will have to spend money to revisit the centre, even though we have paid full price already!
I think it's unfair to price it for full and then offer a discounted return. We did not get the full experience, so why have to pay for it!?
Then have to pay more, to come back again. We feel a free re-visit would be more appropriate due to the area closure, or half price entry at the moment.

Good Morning M825TDdanielb Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We completely understand your frustration and apologize for the inconvenience caused during your visit. We know it’s never ideal to have certain areas closed for maintenance, but unfortunately, these necessary works need to be carried out at times when we can ensure a quality experience. We do want to emphasize that your ticket grants all-day entry, and we offer several talks throughout the day that we hope you can enjoy during future visits. We understand, however, that this doesn’t completely make up for not experiencing everything as planned. We truly value your comments and will continue to review our approach to ensure that we’re offering the best experience for our visitors. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back soon for a fuller experience without any interruptions. Kind regards, SEA LIFE

I recently visited Sea Life and paid £60 for the entire family. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming, as the entire walk-through lasted less than 40 minutes. The venue was quite small and overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy. Given the cost, it did not feel like good value for money.

Although we received a stamp allowing re-entry throughout the day, the initial visit was so brief and unexciting that the children quickly became bored. Additionally, upon entering, we encountered a photographer who took pictures without ensuring we were ready, and then attempted to sell the photos for £13. For the price of admission, a complimentary photo should be included

Hello anonymousu557 We appreciate your feedback. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and seemed to lack value. We closely track guest opinions on this matter and are pleased to note that the overwhelming majority feel they receive great value for money, with the benefit of all-day access. Additionally, we consider our competitors' pricing within the aquarium industry and other leisure attractions, and we remain confident that our prices are highly competitive, especially considering the quality we provide. Kind regards

I understand they are doing building work which limited the experience as some areas where closed. But felt this had not be reflected in the ticket price. It took us 35 minutes to get round and cost a family of 3 around 50 pounds. The glass in places like the Penguin exhibit was so dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned it years preventing my daughter from seeing the penguins. I was quite disappointed. If the tickets had been discounted then maybe I would have been more satisfied but I won't be back I can go to the zoo for the day for the same price.

Hello W191LZchloes Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback, and we truly appreciate your support. We’re sorry to hear that your visit wasn’t up to expectations, especially with the building work affecting your experience. We also apologize for the state of the glass at the Penguin exhibit, as it’s important to us that all our displays are clean and enjoyable for our visitors. We’ll be addressing this with the team to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We hope you’ll consider returning to see the exciting new ocean tank once the updates are complete, and don't forget to use your discount voucher on your next visit. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we would love to welcome you back in the future. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts! Kind regards SEA LIFE

An amazing place to visit. With so many beautiful areas to see from the shipwreck to radar and ocean view ! Ocean view was absolutely stunning , getting to walk along the tunnel with the giant turtle and shark swimming overhead. Screens in each area offered eduactional moments to learn about the sealife. We got to take part in a intervative activies with a giant africsn snail & starfish ! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Lots of photo opportunities! With a photo booth as soon as you walk in and the chance to buy them at the end. The penguin photo opportunity being our favourite. We received a lovely welcome pack and quiz, receiving a prize from the gift shop afterwards for completing the quiz correctly. The souvenir coin machines are a lovely touch , with lots more opportunities to buy items to take home in the gift shop. We picked up lots of key rings and toy marine animals.

100% recommend going.

Absolutely terrible visit, as a local resident I certainly won’t be visiting again. I would much rather drive further afield. The whole place looks tired and you can walk around it all in an hour, that includes looking at tanks twice as you have to double back on yourself to get around the whole centre.

There was a large group of us visiting for my child’s birthday party, upon entering after booking tickets online we were told that there was building work taking place so some of the areas were closed off. We were not told this when purchasing tickets online.

The section that was closed off meant that the whole visit was cut short and the visit was not worth the money at all. The play area was also closed, again this was not on their website.

I spoke to the manager who had terrible customer service skills and clearly needs some further training in this area. I was told that no refund was possible and that we had received a 30% voucher to visit again. I explained to him that I would not be visiting again. He also thought that saying that the play area had been closed for 3 years somehow justified its closure, even though the centre would have been shut for covid for most of this time.

I will be telling friends, family and colleagues not to waste their money visiting. Such a shame as I normally like to help local businesses.

Hi chloelV3580WW, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback of your recent visit with us. I am sorry to read that on this occasion your visit to us did not meet your expectations. As you have mentioned we are currently in the middle of revamping a tired section of the attraction which we will reopen at Easter 2023. We have put guest announcements on our website explaining this before our guests book tickets with us. This allows them to make their own informed decision whether to purchase tickets to visit us or to wait until the works are completed. We also remind our guests when they arrive. Unfortunately when booking tickets through discounted 3rd party ticket sellers, which you did, we are unable to put the required information regarding the building works. We are also giving all of our guests a 30% discounted voucher to come and visit us again when the new area opens for the inconvenience caused. The area that is being redeveloped has 4 creature displays which is less than 8% of or overall displays. Our play area Closed at the tail end of 2019 and we have removed all mention of this from our website and is not included in our entry ticket. We will take your feedback on board and continue to improve our communication to our guests making them aware of our improvement works that are happening. we do hope that you take use of the return visit discount and come and see our new area after in April. Many thanks Nathan

We took one of our grandsons, who is on the autistic range and the team could not have been more helpful. To start with, we arrived 10 mins before they opened, but as it was raining they let us in anyway to keep us dry.
When we spoke to a lady about not being sure how our grandson would be in the venue they reassured us not to worry, brought us some ear defenders and special stickers in case we needed them (we didn’t 😁)

The actual ‘displays’ were great- fun, educational and interesting- seeing the fish/ penguins etc were great and our grandson loved it- which obviously made us very happy 😃

This was a great couple of hours and we received the best level of service we’ve had in a good few years

We went here for my 1 year olds first birthday. It is a lovely place, very helpful staff and so many amazing things to look at. HOWEVER this centre was undergoing some building work which meant we missed out a section of it, including the tunnel which we were all looking forward to. It’s a bit annoying we paid full price and we couldn’t get the full experience, nor was there any info online about this and the staff didn’t inform us when we arrived that this section would be missed. We still had a good time, but I am annoyed at how much we paid and didn’t even get to see it all.

Highly recommended. Excellent variety of creatures on display aided by polite, knowledgeable staff. Henry on the tree ants section and the girl with pink hair carrying out the turtle feeding commentary are especially worthy of mention. They are both a credit to Sea Life and would be a large reason to recommend a visit to friends. Excellent day at fair prices
