- L2134LHjasonb0 contributionsBrilliant Harbour TourWe really enjoyed the harbour tour this morning. The crew were amazing - friendly and knowledgeable. Learnt so much about the area and the sun was shining. Highly recommend. We will definitely be booking with them again when we return to Lowestoft.Written 27 October 2024
- hayleyking19850 contributionsOur second trip with Jet Adventures didn't disappoint!Following on from our Scroby Sands trip last year, this year we headed south to Pakefield. Once again we were treated to wearing the fabulous orange waterproofs (a must to wear because you do get very wet). We also paid a visit to the Kittiwake hotels off shore, which was great to see close up! An amazing 45mins to celebrate a family birthday! Thank you again to John and Jas for making the day another memorable one!!Written 20 September 2024

- A9937CKstuartw0 contributionsA harbour tour not to be missed.Stunning, and time & money well spent. You see views of the harbour, including old wrecks, structures and semi-derelict shipyards that have lain there for aeons and are impossible to get close to by any other means. At all times you remain in calm harbour waters so no threat to those of delicate disposition. The running commentary is very informative and second to none. Getting on and off the inflatable is quite easy so 100% mobility is not a problem - but if unsure of your ability then please check with the company. Seriously, it's not to be missed.Written 18 June 2024
- RN2420 contributionsRemote and good for that..Great views of these seriously smelly seals! A good leg stretch from the local pub along a good footpath. An easy walk to Winterton and backWritten 10 June 2024
- markj6590 contributionsAmazing and exhilarating day outWe were met by the very enthusiastic Jet Adventures team who greeted us like long lost family members. They were very knowledgeable on our intened route and put my mind at ease with a very thorough safety talk. On the trip we were checked on regularly and all questions were answered. We had a fantastic time and will definitely do it again in warmer weather.Written 13 March 2024

- R9440XEsarahs0 contributionsExhilarating experience! The sea was quite rough so we didn't get as far as seeing the seals! So we were treated to going along the coast. It was a really good experience of big waves and lots of sea spray! We were well cared for and felt safe. We were offered a part refund or another trip as we didn't see the seals.Written 7 January 2024

- CarronJC0 contributionsTop TripTop Trip. Completely wonderful. Perfect hosts (Fliss and John). Boat ride fun and not scary. Definitly needed the warm layers and provided waterproofs for the late Septmber trip. Bonus view of the 1930s Lydia May - a steam driven sidewinder trawler. Lots of seals. Camera with long range lens recommended for good pics. Plenty of curious seals came over to see us too. So peaceful while bobbling around in the ocean when the engine was off.Written 2 October 2023
- Sam P0 contributionsSealsPopped down to the beach hoping to see the seals. Costs £3.50 to park for 2hrs or £5 for 4 hours. We'll worth paying the £3.50 to see the seals. Loads seals on the beach and in the water. Beautiful sand and easy access to beach.Written 26 September 2023

We were holidaying in Norfolk and decided to book a rib ride as we always do. The website was clear and easy to use with pricing at a very reasonable level. We booked for 5 people with ages from 11 to 77 and it came in at just under £200 which is definitely the lowest we have paid for quite some time.
We got a booking confirmation email shortly afterwards and then a follow up email a day or 2 before the trip which contained all the necessary information. The only thing which was missing which would have been nice is the what3words reference for the meeting point (///solved.gates.nerve).
On the day we arrived in plenty of time and we were recommended to use their waterproofs which at first we weren't going to bother with but after speaking to the skipper and his partner, we decided to all use them. The trip started with a thorough safety briefing ( one of the most thorough but useful we have had) before we made our way down to the boat.
Once on board we made our way out to scroby sands at a fair pace before anchoring up and watching the seals from a safe distance. There were hundreds of seals some of which were curious and approached the boat for a closer inspection. There was no interaction with the seals and we didn't feel like we were too close and scaring them which was good.
One thing of note was that there was some rubbish floating around in the sea and they tried to rescue that but unfortunately it was too shallow to get the boat near it.
The staff were absolutely brilliant and made it a trip to remember by smashing over the waves in the way back leaving us looking like we had just stepped out of the shower.
I will definitely use jet adventures again and if you book with them wear walking boots or similar and make sure you use their waterproofs too. Total trip length was around 90 minutes making it excellent value for money

Great value for money, the teens enjoyed the adrenaline thrill of the boat whizzing and bouncing across the waves towards the seals and then when we anchored down we were spoilt for seals! Some even got brave enough to peer into the boat. We even had lots of information given to us throughout from the skipper!

I went on Friday 25/08 with John the Skipper and Jas. 30 mins on the speedboat at over 25mph up the coast (10 miles north past Hopton to Yarmouth and 2 miles to Scroby Sands wind farm). Had 30 mins with lots of seals popping up, breaching etc. Be there 30 mins early for safety briefing and life jacket fitting. Lovely trip, loved the wind in my hair, John, his wife and Jas are lovely people. I felt safe and had enough time with the seals. Highly recommended!

We booked a private trip after seeing a video by Walk by Tim on a popular platform and I have to say it was excellent. We got so up close to the seals at Scroby Sands it was amazing. It was also great to speed along the coastline and getting a different view. Myself, my wife and my daughter had fantastic couple of hours.
The trip was well run by a husband and wife team who were both friendly and very knowledgeable.
They do 2-3 trips a day for up to 12 people and I would highly recommend to anyone who likes to try something different, likes seals and be out at see.
Thank you
Nick

Thanks for the review and your support Nick.
Tim did a great job on the video didn’t he? We are hoping to get him out to Scroby soon. The seals want to be in one of his videos 😏

absolutely fantastic afternoon spent with Jet adventures had an amazing trip to Scroby to see the seals . Crew extremely friendly and helpful with commentary on points of interest in the harbour then once out into open sea things got a lot faster.
You can hire waterproofs for a small fee which was worth doing as got a little wet on the way back.
Really can't recommend Jet adventures enough anyone would have a great time will definitely be going again

Wow! This was the highlight of our holiday. Easy to book and lots of information given via email prior to the activity so we knew what to expect and to wear. We came in full waterproof clothing, as recommended; however, it seemed that there were some waterproof jackets for those who didn’t have them. I highly recommend taking their advice as, even though it was a pleasant day, there were unexpected waves and we got very wet! Everyone got a life jacket too (even someone’s assistant dog). During, the staff were very friendly, taking the time to speak to each individual and making sure they were getting the most of the experience and answer any questions we had. Seeing as many seals as we did was just amazing! We were anchored a little while away from the sand bank (so not to frighten the seals or encroach on their territory) but the seals soon came up to the boat to say hello! Thank you so much for a great experience.

Fantastic trip with Jet Adventures to Scroby Sands. The sea conditions were calm and we had great views of the coastline. So many inquisitive seals came to see us while we were moored close to Scroby Sands. On our way back we were lucky enough to see around 8 local lifeboats out on the sea, not on a rescue mission but a special event involving the handing over of a new life boat, that was very impressive. The crew were brilliant, they were so knowledgable and made our trip great fun.

Really nice experience. They provide you with the waterproofs and life vests so you don’t need to take anything. The boat is quite fast but perfectly enjoyable and you don’t get too wet. Difficult to see the island it’s all the on land seals from that distance without binoculars or a good camera but there were plenty that swam close enough to the boat.

Hello,
do you take 2,5 years old and the 4 months baby on the board?
Kind regards
Natalia

Check with the website, but you would need to consider how you would keep the youngest two safe and be able to hold on yourself at the same time. The boat can go quite fast and it can be a bumpy ride.
