Overview
There are few places in the world where you can actually drive a husky sled through the snow. This tour in Tromso puts you in the driver’s seat to steer a husky-led sled through the Norwegian countryside. A guide helps you learn the basics before taking off, so no experience is necessary, and you can warm up afterward with a hot meal by a campfire. Afterward, visit husky puppies at a breeding center.
What to Expect
Meet for this Tromso sled-driving tour at the Radisson Blu.
After a short ride to the countryside, arrive at a dog-sledding center. A guide gives you an orientation on the basics, so you feel confident to get in the driver’s seat.
Out on the snow, take the reins and ride as a group of huskies pulls your sled. Make a pit stop at a husky breeding center to meet cute huskies. The center is home to more than 250 dogs. Before your tour ends, enjoy a traditional Norwegian meal composed of reindeer meat, broth, and vegetables (bidos) by a campfire. (Vegetarian options are also available.)
Your dog-sledding experience ends with a drop-off back at the Radisson Blu in Tromso.
