Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 969shanitae0 contributionsGreat DayAmazing day!!! Our guide was the best!! Don't second guess this experience, book it! The ride was comfortable. Great way to get a lot of adventures in one dayWritten 6 October 2024
- Roam5333060 contributionsGood choice, worth the priceIf you are first timer. This tour is worth it. I like a small bus as i can sit by my self n enjoy the view. The driver is nice. The price is good. I wish i vould stay longer in some places. But, its a guided group tour, so we have to be very efficient, so we can see everything.Written 5 October 2024
- I1272CSsheilaa0 contributionsGolden Circle was just okThis is my family's first visit to Iceland and we booked the Golden Circle as i was told it is a must see area of Iceland. My overall impression is that all the stops in the itinerary were just ok. We stopped at Golfoss (waterfall), The Geysir, Kerid Crater, and Thingviller National Park. It is an easy tour for people who cannot do a lot of walking or hiking. Our tour guide Dominic (he does not like to be called Nick, he says) made the tour more enjoyable. He talked about each attraction before dropping us off at each parking lot. Dominic also added a couple of extra stops which we enjoyed the most. First was the quick stop at a farm that let us see and pet their Islandic Horses. Being an animal lover, our family was really happy with this stop. Second extra stop was at a daily farm that also had an ice cream shop. The ice cream was freshly made from their cow's milk. Can't get any more delicious than that. Again, my overall opinion of this tour is that it was a good experience for first time tourists like us but compared to other sights we visited in Iceland, this was just an ok one.Written 5 October 2024
- Jane231219580 contributionsFabulousAbsolutely brilliant tour. Our driver/guide was Vjeran. He was outstanding!!So knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour. Everything was spot on. Can’t complain about anything. Highly recommend.Written 4 October 2024
- edwardbB7575RN0 contributionsAn enchanted outingWe really enjoyed seeing the mountains, rivers, farmlands, faraway glaciers, waterfalls, geysers and hot springs outside of the city. Our guide was great. He gave historical and scientific explanations (in two languages) of each area we passed and at each tour stop.Written 4 October 2024
- Rjonesweb0 contributionsSouth Coast TourAmazing sites and beautiful scenery. Tour guide very knowledgeable about the history and formation of country. One thing to keep in mind is that this is definitely an all-day journey of approximately 12 hours. If you want to spend less time on an excursion, plan a different excursion.Written 3 October 2024
- Morgan M0 contributionsShortened tour, change of itinerary, great places to seeThe tour guide said we would get back around 1800 (6pm) and we returned at 1530 (330pm). We felt like we got shorted 2+ hours of our tour. Also our itinerary changed. When I booked the tour we were supposed to go to another waterfall and a wool market. When I went back to the itinerary it had changed- so we didn’t have any proof of this. Also if you’re looking for a tour where they tell you a lot about Iceland, our guide really told us bare minimum information. But the places we saw were amazing, and we got to see a lot of Iceland in a fast amount of time. Just reviewing so other bookers know what they’re signing up for!Written 3 October 2024
- Jane231219580 contributionsFabulous tripWhat a really good tour. Our driver Siggy was brilliant. He was very informative. We had plenty of time at each stop to have a real good look round. The scenery was amazing. Well worth the money.Written 3 October 2024

- Freedom151703389900 contributionsLots of fun and beautiful sights! We'd never taken a true guided tour before. Our guide was Tomasz, and we loved the whole experience. He went above and beyond, had a great sense of humor, was full of information, and kept our attention the whole time. I think the guide really makes the tour, and he killed it. Of course, the big 3 attractions were great, even with the typical rainy weather. Also, I enjoyed the secret lagoon much more than I thought I would. It felt amazing after the 3 walking stops and being in the minibus for stretches of time. All in all, amazing experience! Only gripe I can think of is that we would have liked a tiny extra time at the Þhingvellir and Gulfoss locations to really check out the souvenir shops. However, Tomasz even added an extra stop at the end, after confirming that no one was in a rush to return to the city. Just super considerate and fun. Loved it.Written 1 October 2024

- 321wadeh0 contributionsFantastic Finale in IcelandWe did the all day South Coast trip with VJERAN at Artic Adventures. He was fantastic and made this tour the highlight of our week in Iceland. Vjeran is extremely knowledgeable of Iceland's history and kept us informed and entertained on the drives between sites. This tour covers a lot of sites and is well worth the day spent!Written 30 September 2024
- Theworldata0 contributionsJust phenomenalThis was a phenomenal day out. The minibus was comfortable, our tour guide was fantastic telling us about the history and geology of the areas we drove through between locations. The sights were stunning - I especially loved the basalt columns and caves at the black sand beach, and the glacier walk was also a highlight. Take waterproofs (including trousers!) if you want to experience walking behind one of the waterfalls - the spray is pretty extreme. All in all a really magical part of our trip.Written 29 September 2024

I went on this tour on July 31 operated by Arctic Tours and Your Day Tours when we got into a serious accident with elderly and children on board. The driver for no reason and in perfect weather conditions swerved off the road while driving at 100 km/hr. The road was perfect, the weather was dry, and the sun was out. The driver on multiple occasions was getting too close to the side/shoulder of the road for no reason (just a bad drover? Sleepy? I don’t know) and almost killed us all. We luckily all survived but many of us fell out of our seats and many of our seatbelts even cracked from the stress on the belts during the impact. Passengers were injured, including myself and multiple elderly passengers. All my belongings flew out of my seat and my cell phone cracked and I hit my knees quite hard on the seat in front of me and was pretty banged up/bruised.
We had not gone to any of the stops due to the accident. We wasted 9 hours of our day (3.5 hours driving but not reaching any of the sights, 2 hours waiting for someone to pick us up and 3.5 hours driving back), we almost got killed for no reason on a day with beautiful weather due to bad driving and our property was damaged (my cell phone was destroyed).
They didn’t offer to take us, even the elderly or children to a hospital to be checked, didn’t offer us water or food despite being stranded on a road due to their accident, and didn’t offer compensation for our injuries, lost time (lost a full day of vacation) or damage to our property (my cell phone is terribly damaged and cannot be used). Not even water! After a lot of begging they offered to refund us the cost of the trip, as if that was generous (noting we never even reached the destination). I still cannot fathom how ridiculous all of this is, and even my refund has not processed now almost two months out. They also refused to pay to repair my phone and said I had to go to my own travel insurance for any compensation. Crazy.
DO NOT GO on Tours with Arctic Tours or Your Day Tours if you care for your safety, the safety of your friends and family, or if you expect any kindness or decent customer service or a company that takes responsibility for their mistakes!

Dear O524KHmohamedk,
Once again we do apologize for all the negative experience that you had on that day - this was truly not per our standards as safety and well-being of our customers is our number priority!
After this accident happened, we did everything we could to make sure everyone is well and safe - none of the travelers requested a doctor's appointment, none of them were injured, all seatbelts were checked and none of them were broken, no one fell out of their seats. Even so, no children or elderly people were on a tour.
Even if this accident was a minor accident - the driver went off the road on a grass field while going below maximum speed (each bus has speed limiters and cannot go any faster than the limit), we do understand that the day did not go as it was expected, but accidents, unfortunately, do happen. Therefore to compensate each traveler was informed that the full refunds will be issued for this trip as well as they were offered to join on another tour for free in the next upcoming days.
This case was investigated very thoroughly with our operations department and needed actions were taken to ensure situations like this will definitely be avoided in the future.
Even so, we still hope you managed to enjoy all the wonders Iceland has to offer!

My wife and I were on two Your Day Tours tours on our trip, one for Golden Circle/Secret Lagoon and one for Snaefellsnes and Kirkjufell. For both, our tour guide Björn exceeded our expectations in every way. He was extremely informative, humorous, energetic, and passionate about his work. We learned so much about the sights we were seeing and Iceland as a whole thanks to Björn. Additionally, his recommendations for dining and extra activities were very helpful and spot on! The tours were very pleasant and the best we went on for our whole trip, I would HIGHLY recommend!

Our tour guide Almar was the BEST! So knowledgeable and shared really interesting information about our sites, Iceland in general, and historical information. I loved that he played Icelandic music in between our stops. He was a safe driver which was great as we drove through some sketchy weather. The sites were beautiful and the small group made getting around very easy. Could NOT recommend this tour more!!! Thanks for a great trip!

The tour i( Snaelfelness) good . We tool tour on June 23 with your day tour co , Iceland and we’re picked up promptly. It was out last tour . I don’t remember name of driver . He was punctual , As mentioned picked us promptly . The tour is great. Driver would drop us on one side and pick on other , thus adding efficiency.
However , he was not courteous. He said not many good places to eat ,. Pick up something from gas station . Once we boarded bus , he would object to what we eat . Can’t eat yogurt, can’t eat chips and so forth. No lunch break . He could have stopped for half an hour at reasonable place and there were few and eat properly . More so, if he won’t allow this and that. He seems rushed to reach back at 6 pm . . I think these things make tour less relaxed . We understood he wanted to keep van clean , but there are ways to do it . Little vacuuming can help rather than making tourists uncomfortable. By the way, it was not very clean van . He could have taken another half an hour and let people enjoy little meal they can as people are on vacation.
Other than this , he did good job and recommend this tour .
Small things can make lot of difference . I hope organizers take this feedback which meant to be constructive
Enhance peoples experience .

This was an amazing tour and really gave us a chance to see so much of Iceland.
Our tour guide/driver was fantastic, and as a cruise tour, we had full confidence that we would make it back in time for the ship.
One of the other cruise passengers organized this tour, but I understand that they were very accommodating based on the time the ship docked (later than normal), and our return time (which also changed).
I would highly recommend this company for anyone going to Iceland, but specifically, if you are on a cruise and want to book your own tours (which would be way cheaper btw).

Just got back from a tour with Monica and cannot recommend enough. Monica was an absolutely amazing guide and could not do enough for us, stopping off in extra locations, parking up to watch the sunrise with a breath taking view, being our personal photographer and being super informative regarding everything Iceland has to offer. She was friendly, funny and really made our trip memorable. Throughout the tour, Monica made various recommendations which we will not hesitate to try (writing this from a restaurant she recommended), she also had Icelandic chocolates she bought for us to try, which was a lovely added addition.
She truly couldn’t do enough for us, making this the best trip we have had in Iceland.

This tour felt more exclusive to the other tours we’ve been on. This may have been because of the time of our visit, but we were part of a small group of 5 people.
The landscapes we have seen are nothing short of breathtaking, with a carefully planned route to fit in plenty of photo opportunities as well as comfort breaks, even in the short daylight hours of January. As during our visit we have had a cold snap with temperatures well into the minuses; the landscapes featured snow covered mountains, the glacier, and frozen beaches, lakes and waterfalls. I would imagine we could do this tour again in milder temperatures and it would look completely different, but just as beautiful.
Our guide, Volli, was very knowledgeable of all the areas we visited, and was also able to share many stories and myths behind the areas, often in a humorous way, making to whole tour interactive and enjoyable. Thank you so much Volli!!
I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland if you want to experience the different landscapes in what today felt less touristy and more personal.

Reykjavik has poor infrastructure for mass tourism, and it probably needs to invest in technology, which is available, that will facilitate picks up and transfers. Right now, it is a bit chaotic. Tourists wait at bus stations (at the mercy of Iceland's climate) for mini vans and buses. Tour guides from all companies have to scream for passengers' names to identify them and get them into the buses. Passengers in general are confused who is picking whom up, and everybody is trying to find out information at the bus station. A simple text could make things so much easier. From the bus stations, you are transferred to a central station where more chaos awaits. Tours do not start on the right foot. Get it together, Reykjavik! This is not a problem particular to Your Day Tours. All companies face the same challenges. Nevertheless, Your Day Tours provided a very positive experience during the tour. The star of the show was our amazing guide, Pawel, who truly cared for his customers and strived to provide a great experience for all. We have been lucky to travel extensively and without a doubt Pawel is among the best tourist guides we have met. Thank you for showing us a beautify part of Iceland, Pawel, for loving your job and caring for your passengers' experience.

This tour was all-in-all amazing. There are quite a few tour groups to choose from and let me give anyone reading this a few reasons to choose 'Your Day Tours':
Tour Itself: Absolutely beautiful hitting all the main spots that you'd want to see or have seen
The Driver/Staff: We had a gentleman named Gusti. This guy was not only just freaking hilarious, but super informative. I took a tour the day before and while it was fun it felt like she was just running through a routine. Gusti on the otherhand you could literally feel his passion for the country and sights we were seeing. He made jokes, gave great information, played Icelandic music, was patient, and even showed us some stops that weren't on the tour since we had extra time. Seriously one of my favorite days in Iceland and a big part of that was because of him leading the tour.
I wish I had booked this tour company for my other trips as I know they would've been 100x's more enjoyable!
Kudos to Your Day Tours!

Despite challenging weather ( very high winds and rain) our driver / guide Salvi demonstrated phenomenal driving skills! He was able to not only provide us with a safe ride but also shared fascinating information on the country of Iceland! The 19 passenger minibus is an additional incentive as the small group was far more enjoyable than large bus tours. The scenery along the lengthy ride is breathtaking. Our stop at Arnarstapi with its spectacular sea cliffs and natural bridge was a true highlight! Likewise, Djupalonssandur beach was haughtily beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour as it is packed with amazing sites and if you can go with Salvi that is an added bonus!

This is a very late response- my apologies but for future goers, no it will not be! There was one section you could walk a path along a cliff side, but you did not have to* it was optional.
