      Terrific tours
We highly recommend Luca's Raven tours. Luca is an excellent guide. His knowledge and manner make him the perfect guide. We wanted a family tour (me and 2 teenagers) so we could go at our own pace, get lots of local knowledge and not worry about driving conditions. We got that and more on the 2 separate day tours we booked with him. If we'd had more time we would have done another one. Thanks so much, Luca.

      Luca is the best!
My friend and I went to Iceland and hired Luca to take us on an overnight round trip tour from Reykajavik to Jökulsárlón. We had a great time. Luca is very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job showing us this amazing country. I highly recommend Luca. His vehicle and sandwiches are awesome too.

Luca Rocks, Once in a Life Time Adventure with our friend Luca.
First of all, I want to apologize to Luca for taking so long to post our review. We had one of the most wonderful excursions with Luca on May 31st, 2018. You know, life and everything happens. Ok, enough excuses. Luca Rocks. He is one the most personable people my wife and I have ever met. He met us in the parking lot of where our cruise ship docked. We met him about 1:30pm and off we went. It was quite a drive to get to all the beauty Iceland has to offer, or at least as much as we could see in 8 hours or so. He took us to a black sand beach which is breathtaking. Me, my wife and Luca were the only people there. Something that gives one perspective on EVERYTHING. But even better, he had coffee so we could take this sight in with some hot coffee. Oh my, I was in heaven. After some time there, off we went to a large waterfall which was very touristy, but something everyone should see. The rainbow which appears through the mist (from gold dispersed from a chest) is amazing, but wait Luca had more at this location. We then went to a parking lot off to the side, where we went on a hiking journey. This private hike which Luca led came upon a mini green valley with a smaller, but more intimate waterfall. We were able to go behind the actual waterfall. Just thinking about this makes me smile. All along this adventure Luca provided information and advice on how to get the most out of this adventure: vantage points for pictures, best places to put foot on rocky trails, and lore about the wonderful history areas we went to. Luca, provided lunch (dinner) which was delicious. Some smoked type fish sandwich. OMG, soooo good. Especially, after a hike or two. Did I mention speaks very good English and in a previous life was an attorney, don’t hold that against him, but he is a very interesting individual. We still have two more stops, additional waterfalls and beautiful scenery. Luckily for us daylight was constant, even during evening hours. For those who may have some anxiety regarding cost for a private tour, DO NOT WORRY. He is so worth the cost. My wife, who can be cautious on spending, believes the cost for our private tour was so worth the memories we have on this special day. Once in a lifetime. Thank You Luca Peter and Sandra Fernandez

      Great Adventure
We loved our tours with Luca! He is an amazing individual, full of knowledge and charming personality. We took two separate tours, Thorsmork Valley and Golden Circle Tour. Luca has a super vehicle that is great for both off roading and touring. He provided us with a wonderful lunch and snacks at no extra charge. I highly recommend Luca and Raven Travel. As you can see by my profile, I have been on many tours all over the world and he is one the best!

      A perfect trip
Luca took us on the South Coast day trip in March. If he is available do not hesitate to book your tour with him! In the lead up to our trip, Luca put us entirely at ease. His responses to all our queries were quick and detailed and he had lots of helpful suggestions and advice on how to make the most of our stay in Iceland generally. The trip surpassed all expectations. Luca is clearly passionate about Iceland and his knowledge and expertise in leading a group enhanced an already stunning itinerary. Luca packed everything in and more, and it was a pleasure to spend the day in his company. All the stops were amazing, but the highlights were the secret places that Luca shared with us. The jeep is the perfect way to travel in this landscape. It was comfortable and the audio set up meant we could hear his narration clearly throughout. We happily munched through the snacks Luca had stuffed in the various nooks and crannies, sipped hot drinks on the volcanic beach, and lunch was delicious and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble and Luca tailored the trip to our needs. He let us take our time at every stop and happily took the obligatory photos whenever called upon! Thank you Luca for making the day so memorable! We'll definitely be back.

      Can't get enough!
We just booked our third third tour of Iceland with Raven Travel and can't wait to go in July to see the whales and puffin! Luca is the best tour guide, and we now consider him a friend as well. If you want to see all that Iceland has to offer in all the nooks and crannies of the country, go with Raven Travel. Have fun!

      Birthday in Iceland!
Once again, had the most AMAZING time in Iceland, thanks to Luca Pozzi! Luca's tours were so awesome in January that I immediately came home and booked a trip back for my birthday. Hands down the best tour guide I have ever had. Luca does it all! From picnic lunches, to Icelandic folklore, to northern lights... it just doesn't get any better than Raven Travel! I simply can't rave enough. I'm already planning my next trip back in July 2018, and I can't wait to go back! Do yourself a favor, and get a tour booked with Luca. You'll thank me later! :)

An Excellent Tour Guide with a wealth of local information
we were two couples visiting Iceland for 3 days. With limited time, we elected to use Luca for two days of guided touring. It was a great decision and we were totally impressed with his local knowledge, organization and assistance in making our stay memorable. Luca displayed an incredible depth of knowledge of Icelandic tourist sites, history, geology, society and local legends. He also is a Game of Thrones fan and knew all the Icelandic locales for that show if you are a fan. I'd strongly recommend him to any friends planning to visit Iceland.

I booked our Western tour about 7 months before our trip. Luca was extremely helpful every step of the way. The tour was phenomenal. Luca was extremely knowledgeable. He provided a wonderful lunch of lamb and salmon. All in all, we were delighted with our day!!

      3 tours with Luca
Had three fantastic days with Luca and his Super Jeep. I had booked the Iceland South Coast and the Golden Circle tours and contacted Luca for ideas for a third tour which included some hiking. He suggested Thorsmork tour, which after we had completed all the tours as a family we all agreed this was our favourite. Luca was so knowledgeable about everything to do with Iceland, we learnt about the history, sagas and geology of this wonderful country. We enjoyed our picnic lunches, which included brennivin, delicious sandwiches and always in the sunshine!! Thank you Luca for adding brilliant memories to our great week in Iceland.

      Unforgettable experience
Luca was recommended to me by a close friend. I was initially reluctant due to the price, however after spending two days with him as our guide, I quickly realized he is worth more than what he charges. He picked us up in his monster truck both days, provided coffee, Icelandic snacks and a "picnic lunch" of salmon and lamb sandwiches, both of which were delicious! He also provided Icelandic liquor. Most importantly was the tour! Luca showed us several tourist hotspots, but also several hidden gems where there no tourists to be found! Along the way he filled us in on Icelandic folklore. His knowledge of the earth sciences and Icelandic culture/history is astonishing! I'm actually planning another trip to Iceland for next year and plan on booking Luca for every single day that I'm there.

      Look No Further
My two 20ish age children were going to Iceland for eight days, and after a great deal of time researching, it became obvious they needed a guide. I had read the reviews for Luca and decided to book for three days. While I might have spent a little more than I planned, it was totally worth it. There were days that other tour companies couldn't go out because of weather, but not Luca. He was prompt, engaging and showed my kids the trip of a lifetime. He taught my kids so much about the history of Iceland. The booking process could not have been easier. My only regret was that I wasn't on the trip. Thank you Luca.

      The only guide you need.
There really isn't much more I can say that hasn't already been said. Luca is simply the only tour guide you will ever need in Iceland. My wife and I enjoyed our Golden Circle tour so much that we cancelled a group tour and booked him a second day for the south coast tour. His tour is absolutely worth the money. I'm convinced he could give me a tour of my OWN house and somehow tell me something I didn't already know. Luca, if you are ever in Charleston, SC, Andrea and I would love to see you again!

      Truly Exceptional Service
I normally only review hotels and restaurants - but was so blown away by our 2 days with Luca that had to write something. We went out on private tours to the Golden Circle and South Coast in Luca's 'super jeep'. Aside from it making it feel more of an adventure the super jeep did make a bit of a difference in that: a) you are higher off the road and thus get better views; and b) on the South Coast we were able to go off road on an amazing black sand beach where there were no other tours. The main thing about Raven however is Luca. Distances in Iceland are large and tours take 10 to 12 hours. Thus you need a guide who is knowledgable and who isn't going to get on your nerves when you are stuck in a vehicle with them for 12 hours!. Luca was great on both counts - really nice guy with a truly encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Iceland from the Viking Sagas to Geology to the financial and political ups and downs of the country. He was also completely flexible, knew the tourist traps to avoid and laid on a nice sandwich lunch. Really world class service - and cheaper than crazy price quoted by our hotel concierge for similar tours.

Normally I am a Hop-on, Hop-off bus fan when I arrive in an unknown city. However, I decided to book this walking tour since it fit our schedule upon arrival and seemed to be comprehensive in covering many of Reykjavik's sites. It turned out to be a great decision! Our guide, Luca, was responsive from my first text verifying location and clarifying directions. He was waiting for us at the starting point and immediately had us captivated with the history of the city. Our tour was fairly fast paced with loads of information but Luca always had time for the questions and proved that he had indepth knowledge of the history of Iceland. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent on this walking tour learning the streets of Reykjavik. But Luca went even further! Based on our questions and our sharing the things we liked to do, he later sent me a detailed text with suggestions for further sightseeing, places to visit, restaurants and bars to try, and local shopping ideas. His responsiveness and taking the time to share his knowledge of the local area helped to make our visit to Reykjavik much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone while staying in Reykjavik.

Luca was an awesome guide. Not only did we learn about the history, politics, geography, culture and folklore of Iceland and Reykjavik, but Luca also gave us site and restaurant recommendations. It was the perfect way to get out bearings on our first day there. We got to see so much more than we expected, and try some Icelandic snacks and drinks. You can tell that Luca is really passionate about what he does and what he's talking about.

Luca is a wonderful guide, full of information on the history of Iceland and Icelandic folklore! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He oriented us to the old part of the city and helped us appreciate details of the architecture and the significance of many landmarks. He was also very responsive to questions and requests.

The best part of the tour was the variety of locations, neighborhoods, city center, historic sights, folklore, etc. Luca brought the past and present spirit of Reykjavik into an affective experience. The weather was cold and very windy, but the tour was definitely worth it.

This was an excellent tour. Luca is very personable and he has considerable knowledge of the history of the area. He provided an interesting overview of the history of Reykjavik as well as Icelandic fables and mythology. He welcomed questions and the tour became more like people just sharing a walk around the city. We really enjoyed his architectural perspectives in the context of the historical significance of old and new buildings. We explored areas that we had not seen before the tour, and found this to be an excellent overview as a point of departure for further exploration.

Lucas provided an exceptional tour of Reykjavik, far exceeding my expectations!

His knowledge of the city's history and culture was both comprehensive and engaging, bringing to life the stories and landmarks of Iceland’s capital with passion and enthusiasm. Not only did he show me the well-trodden paths, but he also revealed hidden gems that I would have surely missed without his guidance.

Lucas was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful. His warm personality and professional demeanor made the tour not just informative, but also immensely enjoyable.

I highly recommend Lucas to anyone looking to explore Reykjavik; his tour is a must for getting a true taste of the city!

I can honestly say that Luca is the best guide I've ever met; I love history and there's so many things I learnt from him about Reykjavik and its past and present, and the tour was not only super informative but also very entertaining. Luca's passion for his work was obvious and although it turned out I was on my own (some other clients couldn't make it on the day), he definitely put 100% effort to make sure my trip was top notch.
I'd say this one's a MUST if you're visiting Reykjavik and want to find out about the city and Iceland in general.

We have been on many walking tours and this was one of the very best. Luca was very knowledgeable and offered many personal insights and patiently answered additional questions. The tour covered almost every site we had planned to visit in central Reykjavik but we got so much more out of it by going in this engaging tour. Highly recommended,

A fabulous tour and a fabulous guide! Luca is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about architecture, art, local history, religion, nature, and politics in Iceland. He is a professional tour guide and it really shows that he’s been doing this for 13 years. He was able to answer all of our questions, including obscure ones. He shared lots of resources with us about restaurants, special foods, volcano-viewing, etc. and offered to answer any questions we might have after the tour.

Luca is fun, smart, and wonderfully honest about challenges facing Iceland today. Spending 3 hours with him was a highlight of our day! Thank you!

Our guide Luca was very familiar with the history of the city of Reykjavik and a good story teller. He paced the walk based on our request and also modified his path thru the city to focus on topics of interest to us. His restaurant recommendations were fantastic. He helped us to feel brave about wandering around the city more on our own after the tour. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot too!
