- BrianFBrooklyn00A Great Guided Trip To The South CoastSimon A was a wonderful tour guide. He took us to all the spots we were hoping to see and was a wealth of knowledge about them and Iceland in general. Never felt rushed at each spot.
- RachelC69700South Coast Tour EastWest Iceland tour companyWe booked this through East West tours, sister company to Wake Up Reykjavik. The South Coast tour was amazing. Our tour guide Simon A. knew so much about the history, geology, and culture of Iceland, keeping us both informed and entertained during the long driving portions. We saw beautiful and awe inspiring waterfalls, the beautiful black sand beach, glaciers, and so much more. We never felt rushed, he provided plenty of breaks for food and facilities access. He went above and beyond adding a few surprise stops because the weather and visibility were unusually good. Simon is a gem amongst tour guides!
- soniwe700Recommended!Carlos was a great guide who told us a lot about the island and their culture. The south tour is definitely worth it, we saw dramatic landscapes, glaciers and beautiful waterfalls.
- L4879VAkathrync00We saw beautiful landscapes and learned lots of interesting details about Iceland and its volcanoes especially.Great trip. The sites were fabulous and our tour guide was great. We learned a lot. Helpful to do at the beginning of our trip. Highly recommend.
- A7904XZcharlotteb00The perfect tourBaldwin gave us a great tour and a great introduction to Iceland’s many beautiful landmarks. He provided lots of interesting info along the way and was able to answer all of our questions. We loved it all but our favorite was the waterfall we got to walk behind. What an amazing experience!!
- kerry137900Such a beautiful countryWhat a fantastic tour! Bjorn was amazing and showed us so many beautiful sites. This was my favorite excursion during our time in Iceland!
- orphanwords00"From the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow..."What a magical day! I kind of decided to go to Iceland on a whim and wasn't entirely sure what to expect. From thundering waterfalls, to waves crashing on a black sand beach, to a truly awe-inspiring glacier (near the site where they filled several scenes for "Game of Thrones"), this tour was a feast for the senses. And did I mention the baby sheep?! 🥹 The experience was made even better by the fact that our guide, Siggi, was such an entertaining character! The longest stretches of driving between stops were about 1.5 hours, which passed quickly enough thanks to Siggi's stories. If you're someone who's prone to boredom, though, you might want to bring a distraction for those stretches.
- 390kippm00A+++ / highly recommendMy husband and I are not outdoorsy and have never done any type of guided tour before so we were afraid we might not enjoy this. Siggi proved us wrong *and* made me wish we were staying in Iceland for longer. He was funny and friendly; the kind of guy you’d want to grab a drink with. I am so glad I picked South Coast over the Golden Circle! We took a bazillion photos, had a tasty lunch (Skyr cake!), hiked and ran around like kids and really had just the best time. It was amazing. Thank you Siggi!
- CACPH00South Iceland TripGreat trip! Enjoyed every moment! Loved the waterfalls and the black beach area! One of our favorite tours we took in Iceland!
- Mctraveler_1100Leroy was the best tour guide ever and the day was fabulous! Our tour guide Leroy was awesome! Fun, interesting, smart, personable and a great story teller! He created a wonderful and informative tour for us and was always available for questions and chat once we arrived at our destinations. We visited some spectacular places that we'll never forget and fell in love with Iceland despite the blustery May weather which, in the end, actually added positively to the drama of the gorgeous sites.
- 601osamuy00Amazing!!Amazing experience. The one and only leroy was a great guide, full of enthusiasm and local knowlegde! We were lucky with the weather and the sites were amazing. The rainbow with the waterfall was a particular highlight and something that we’ll remember forever!
- Alexander R00Terrific guide. Be prepared for wild weatherGreat experience with East West and fantastic guide Simon (the first). Initial booking cancelled for weather but rebook was easy. Simon was fantastic, personable, knowledgeable, funny. Helped us roll with the punches during weather that ranged from pouring sleet to blue skies. Able to respond to all sorts of questions- both typical tourist and more in depth like how does the economy work here. He has 14 years experience and it shows in the best way.
- theoneandonly72500The Breathtaking South Coast!!This was an incredible tour!! Simon was a fantastic guide and did an incredible job of driving through the thickest fog I had ever seen! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Iceland and treated us to some amazing Icelandic music along the way. The sights and sounds of the South Coast CANNOT be missed! This tour was incredible and you will regret if you miss out on this! The blank sand beach was stunning and the waterfalls were absolutely breathtaking! This is a must do! Very professional and overall a 5 star experience!!
- jacquelinee93000AmazingBooked this tour because I have mobility problems and find climbing onto big coaches very difficult. No problems on this trip. We were collected from our hotel, for our tour to the south coast, and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the geography, history and folklore of the area as we drove along. The scenery is incredible, very photogenic and atmospheric, waterfalls, mountains, glaciers and coastline no wonder so many of the local population believe in trolls and elves. Our guide could not have been more considerate, and friendly and her dog, Luna , made the day even more special. Thank you so much.
- MrIdrive00Amazing Nature. Great tour.A great but long day out. We booked our trip through Jet2. Bus picked up from hotel and our first stop was the Golden Water fall. You could walk up pretty close and take photos. The 2nd stop was the famous Solheimajokull glacier. Amazing and disturbing to see how climate change has effected the glacier. Next we stopped at the black sand beach. Used a a location in an episode of Game of Thrones, where we experienced real Icelandic weather ( as the guide des robes it ). Lunch in a local village. Busy with tours but the food was excellent. Last stop was Seljalandsfos waterfall. Nature at it most amazing. You can walk behind the waterfall which is highly recommend. The Jet2 tour we did has a really informative guide who made the tour very interesting. A really good day that we’d highly recommend

Thor was a very knowledgeable guide, providing us with interesting commentary about Reykjavik as well as all the sites we were visiting. He was a very safe driver in the blowing snow conditions we experienced. We had a reasonable amount of time at each stop to see each site and take photos and never felt rushed. I highly recommend this tour.

Starting out from Bus stop number five, this 11 hour tour was fantastic. We experienced snow, sleet, rain and sunshine throughout the tour. Our tour guide/driver, Addi, was of course a local and very knowledgeable, helpful, amusing, and informative. We enjoyed every moment of the tour. Very cold and windy the day we traveled so I would recommend layering your clothing. On the bus and off the bus you need to be prepared for any kind of weather. Our final stop on the tour was the Blue Lagoon. Had the Secret Lagoon not been closed for repairs, we would gladly have stopped there. This was our first time to Iceland and we had done a lot of research ahead of time but we weren't prepared for the wind. Upon arrival wind gusts were as high as 100 km/hr. with sustained wind velocity of 50 km/hr over a 24 hour period. This tour covered a great deal of territory and therefore an extended ride on the bus. None-the-less I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

We only had a very short 2 day visit to Iceland and this small group Golden Circle Tour was a wonderful way to see as many of the sights as we could cram into our day.
Our fun & knowledgeable driver Thor picked us up at the hotel right on time and took us to all promised sights on the tour (plus a few extras). He was very good allowing us just enough time to see everything without feeling rushed and still keeping to schedule despite getting surprised by heavy snow in the afternoon.
Very happy to recommend this tour!

Great tour, got to visit all areas listed and had a good amount of time in each place.
Pick up was about 8:30 in the morning, and the company emails you to let you know the closest stop to where you are staying. Drop off is between 4-5pm, full day out. It was really cold (as low as minus 15 celsius) so would recommend wearing warm clothing.
On the drives between the areas our tour guide gave us lots of different information about Iceland. Berglind was a brilliant tour guide, was really informative and personable.
Definitely a must-do if you are visiting Iceland!

We went on this tour last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide, Berglind, was extremely knowledgeable and went out of her way to help me. In addition to the main sites we made a few informal visits which turned out to be real highlights particularly the stables! The small group made it feel more intimate. The scenery was stunning. With Berglind's commentary I felt we learnt a lot about life in Iceland!

Fascinating 8 hour tour of several beautiful Icelandic sights. This tour is a small group tour of no more than about 19 people. Some other tours have buses carrying 40 - 50 people. There were frequent stops, so you’re only driving for about 45 minutes at most between stops. Plenty of time provided to look around and explore at each stop. Not rushed at all. Our guide was Baldwin, the best tour guide during our time in Iceland. He explained each sight we visited before we arrived at the location, and welcomed questions from the group. If you have Baldwin as your guide, it’s your lucky day. Overall, the experience was great. The time went by very quickly as we enjoyed each location! In the winter, dress warmly. Warm water-proof foot wear is a big plus. In winter, do not try to drive this tour route on your own. Go with a highly rated tour company for safety reasons.

Day started with some miscommunication. We purchased a hotel pick up, but got a call that we weren’t st the bus stop they had us listed at. Sine we purchased pick up at our hotel, we had no idea what they were talking about. The drive then came to our hotel.
We booked a small van, and boy were we glad we did. Our only complaint was that the seats were very narrow. Otherwise, it was perfect. It only took a minute to load and unload at each spot, so there wasn’t any wasted time.
Our guide was wonderful. All in all great day....I highly recommend.

The scenery along the tour was great and way better than how the pictures look online. However, the tour was very rush and spending 10 minutes extra in Gullfoss and Greysir would be much better given that there were a lot of visitors and the trip actually ended way too early at 1630. The guide we had was a bit laid-back and could have provided more info to us along the journey. Recommended Golden Circle to everyone visiting Iceland, but maybe not with GeoIceland.

We booked and travelled with a company called Bus Travel and the driver/guide was Tommi. We were out from 9am to 9pm and enjoyed seeing all the great sights around Iceland during this golden circle tour and blue lagoon experience. It was exciting and adventurous and Tommi informed us of interesting facts throughout! Great day out, thank you 👍😀

We met the tour on land at a downtown bus stop, but we did pick tour participants up at the cruise ship harbor. It would be best to double check in your particular instance. The agents by phone are extremely helpful.

It is possible. It doesn’t usually take long to get through customs in Keflavik and a taxi will get you to your hotel in about 45 min. Buses take about twice as long but are less expensive. If your plane arrives late, as ours did, it could get tight.
Do you pick up from the cruise terminal?
