Fantastic trip for all the family, a great intro to Iceland outside of Reykyavik. The tomato greenhouse was also interesting.

        South coast trip
The trip was really exciting and we saw a lot of exciting places. The only thing which we could complain is that the time for seeing the places was a little short.

Reykjavik Excursions by Icelandia Hiker Shuttle: Poor service, oversold, and late- bus from Húsadalur Þórsmörk
I reserved 2 seats on the 1600 return bus from (volcano huts) Húsadalur Þórsmörk to Hella, We had hiked from Basar Þórsmörk and we waited at the bus stop at volcano huts. The bus arrived late, fine that happens. When it did arrive, as we were first in line , we went to put our 22L and 36 L backpacks under the bus and we were told to wait. The bus was essentially oversold with a second vehicle coming that didn’t have luggage space and because we only had small back packs 22L and 36L we were told to step aside and wait till all the luggage was loaded to see if there was room for all the large hard sided rollerboards suitcases and enough seats for us. Then the driver determined that she did have enough luggage space and seats, but at this point the bus only had isolated single seats available, forcing my husband and I to sit apart for the 2 hour ride back. With all the chaos and checking names we left 25 min late. At the next stop we had to transfer our luggage and board a different bus to continue on our journey. If you want a commercial tour bus event that’s exactly what you’ll get with Reykjavik Excursions by Icelandia. They seem to have a monopoly. But if you have other choices , I suggest you choose the other. We booked our trip out to Basar Þórsmörk for hiking with Trex and I highly recommend that company instead.

        Just Lovely!
The whole experience was just amazing! The 7 step ritual was an experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved sitting in the lagoon - the view was spectacular. There is a bar in the lagoon, and it was lovely to just to have a drink and enjoy the experience and the view.

Flosi was very detailed with history and site seeing of Iceland. He was very kind with timing and made sure we spent a sufficient amount of time at each location.

        Friendly service but one problem…
My driver was friendly and got us through all the rivers, which was tricky as it had rained a lot. However, I was concerned that he kept looking at his phone while driving because it made me feel unsafe. This is illegal in Iceland and so should not have happened, especially as the roads were quite bendy and there was other traffic on them too.

        Confusing
Be aware that the airport is a good 45 minute ride from Reykjavik. If you take an overnight flight from N. America, you’ll get in about six. You’ll take a bus from the plane to the terminal, go through customs, retrieve your bags, and if you take Flybus, after you find their desk, you’ll be directed to a parking lot with buses. Buses come frequently, but often fill quickly. Once you get to Reykjavik, you are delivered to a terminal where you have to find another bus, wait for that, and then be delivered within a couple blocks of your hotel. It’s a lot. A lot of confusion. Communication is poor for first timers, but everyone speaks English. Granted July is peak, but if I had to do it again, I’d gladly pay to just get in a taxi and be delivered to my hotel.

        A variety of experiences
The tour had a good variety of destinations: a greenhouse warmed by local hot water, working geisers, a splendid waterfall and finally a historically important place where two tectonic plates meet. Our guide gave very useful explanation.

Sky Lagoon for a Relaxing Evening
Spent evening at the Sky Lagoon which included the 7 step ritual. Beautiful views of the water while relaxing in the warm water. The ritual added extra added relaxation -but we skipped the cold pool. Sauna with full glass wall gave feeling of being right over the water. Need to put this on the must do list.

Great 1 Day Tour of the Golden Circle and Reykjavik Hop On Hop Off
I accompanied my husband to Reykjavik for a work conference. While he was at the conference all day, I decided to take a sightseeing trip of the Golden Circle. This company was recommended by the conference planners. Also, I always do the Hop On/Hop Off tours in cities that offer them. It's a great way to see a little bit of everything. I did the Golden Circle tour one day and then the Hop On/Hop Off around Reykjavik the next. It was totally worth the money! I paid extra for the hotel pick up/drop off for the Golden Circle tour, so it was super easy to join the tour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Time at each stop was sufficient to see everything, hike, shop, etc. and not rush. I was a little weary about traveling by myself, but it turned out to be a lovely day trip around Iceland. I'm glad I decided to get out of the city. Highly recommend.

We’ve booked multiple trips with this company are were very satisfied with the service they provide. Golden Trip tour is a very good option to see some of the key landmarks of a Icelandic landscape within a reasonable timeframe. We had an excellent guide, Erik, who takes keen interest in history, politics and geology of Iceland and made the trip much more rewarding by explaining significance of some key historical events and key natural wonders that Iceland has to offer. The office, which can be contacted through email, proved very helpful in responsive. On a few occasions we wanted to change our booking, I was pleased to learn that all could be conveniently arranged through emails.

We did this tour early March 2020 on a whim with 10 hours' notice. We booked and got tickets very simply. Whilst there is an option for pick-up but the bus station is walkable for most people from most place around Reykjavik.

The tour includes a visit to þingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss. Our tour guide Siggy gave a whistlestop summary of Icelandic history in the way up, delivered with dry wit and good humour. All stops offered stunning views, with the opportunity to see a geyser at Geysir and the waterfall at Gullfoss.

Timing was impeccable, hospitality was great and all in all for £40 it was excellent value. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone, it is a must-see on a visit to Reykjavik and if you get the opportunity ask for Siggy, he is the best tour guide!

We paid for a 'hotel pick-up' for this excursion and waited for around 20 minutes to be collected. This bus took us to the BSI bus terminal, where we got on the larger tour bus. The bus was very comfortable and the tour guide was very friendly and gave lots of information about our surroundings and the sites during the journey. He did accidentally keep calling 'organisms', 'orgasms' but this only added to the entertainment factor for us! At the sites, the guide walked us to the entrance and was available to help if needed. We really enjoyed all three sites visited on this trip- the Geyser, Gulfoss falls and Thingvellir National Park (although we didn't have much time to explore at the last site and felt a little rushed). The time spent at the first two sites was perfect! The tour is great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see the golden circle attractions!

We paid extra for transfers to and from our hotel which was well worth it and gave us more time to enjoy breakfast and took the worry away from getting to the terminal on time. Our guide Frosty was very knowledgeable and we learnt lots about the places we were visiting. The bus driver ! Drove us expertly, I'm a nervous passenger and can easily get travel sickness when I'm not driving myself. This wasn't a problem on this trip or the other two trips taken with this company. They obviously take pride in choosing good safe coach drivers and its shows compared to the airport transfers our tour operator booked with another company that was shocking and felt unsafe . The spectacular sights we saw at the national park , the guiser and waterfall is something you don't want to miss if visiting Iceland, however as it was the direct route we didn't have much time at each stop and we didn't have much time to buy food or souvenirs due to how busy the stops were, take your own snacks and drinks so you can spend more time exploring the sites otherwise on this trip you could easily get stuck queuing for the toilets or food in the time you have to see the attraction. This isn't a negative comment on the tour operator, its just so busy at the stops with so many other coaches arriving at the same time. Make sure your well wrapped up, hats, gloves, snoodes , thermals and big coats and walking trousers are a must, the wind chill at gullfoss was something else, there was a guy sat next to me in joggers and trainers and a summer coat , I can't imagine how cold he was! I highly recommend reykjavik excursions, we did northern lights tour, volcanic wonders, golden circle and sky lagoon, All three were very well organised from pick up to drop off. The terminal at BSI is comfortable, warm and lovely pizza plus free water.

We booked this tour before leaving the UK and it was worth every penny. Our guide Runar was very knowledgable on everything from history and geology to mythology and economics. And I mustn't forget our driver Patrick (sorry if it's spelled differently but that's what it sounded like to me!).
Pingvellir national park was beautiful and we had sufficient time to take in the sites. Then on to the geysirs which were equally interesting and Runar even had time to explain how and why they work and why the most famous large geyser is not currently "in action". But Stokkir, which is active, goes off every 6 minutes or so, was very impressive. We had plenty of time to go into the on site facilities, and can recommend the wild mushroom soup.
Next was Gullfoss. I would say this was the most exposed site and it was quite windy. The falls are spectacular and probably the highlight of a great tour. We had time to go closer to the falls but didn't fancy getting soaked in spray when it was so cold!

We did the golden circle direct tour on 23rd November 1230-630. Our tour guide was Fanney and she was brilliant, really informative and engaging and funny! We were collected from BSI where there was an information desk where we could ask questions. We stopped first at Thingvellir which was about 30 mins away, and stayed for around 30-45 mins, looking over the viewpoint. There’s WCs there. Then we went on to Geysir which was amazing! A little slippery in the ice and snow so be careful. There was a cafe, WC and gift shop there with plenty of choice. We stayed for about an hour. Then we went on to Gullfoss which was a brief stop as it was really foggy. There’s about 110 steps down to the viewing point which can also be slippery. Again there’s a WC, cafe and gift shop. The bus journey back was over an hour but the bus is comfortable and we were then able to be dropped off either back at BSI or any of the stops along the way, and we got off in the city Center of Reykjavik. A really brilliant tour encompassing a lot of the popular destinations, and 6 hours was enough in the inclement weather to see and take in all of those sights. Reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend.

Before I review the trip I'd just like to shout out Dylan our tour guide. His guide commentary was awesome. Really informative, interesting and easy to follow along with. Dylan really made the whole experience the best!
The tour itself was amazing. Great places. Awesome views and sights. Time wise it was all a bit tight, but we didn't have long in Iclenad so it suited us. It also gave a great taster on where we would want to spend longer next time we come to Iceland.
I would just recommend bringing your food with you as the queue for food at the stops and the price make that part of the experience not the best.
Loved our tour mostly because of the places but also because of Dylan!

celand is magnificent and spectacular! I returned home and I just want to go back to Iceland.
The geyser Stokkur throws the show each 6-7 minutes and it's a moment when u realize how small one is compared to nature and its power.
Gullfoss is amazing - the sound, the speed, the size, the view, and it almost always formed a rainbow.
Took the tour because it was the only one appealing and not starting super early in the morning, as during the night went to see the northern lights.
The guide, Bergur, patiently explained many times what we see through the bus window (I recommend sitting on the right side, it offers most of the good views), indicated where are the best views of the waterfall & the places we've stopped. And he also let us see through Icelandic life, a much appreciated information. Also, the microphone worked well, I could hear everything from the back of the bus.
Since this is a speedy tour, at the tectonic plates we had 30 minutes, so only for the view point & toilet break. My suggestion is to have 20 minutes there and use the remaining 10 minutes as extra at the waterfall, which is so impressive.

We had a great time going around the golden circle and taking in all the amazing scenery. Eric, our guide was very knowledgeable and offered useful advice on all locations for the best experience. On the way back the weather turned rough but our driver was very skilled and got us back all safely. (I think his name was gunar? I m terribly sorry for not remembering it properly.) I am so thankful for his driving skills. It was a great day and we learned a lot!

The weather was atrocious and for the 2nd day running we waited for a green light for the trip to be confirmed.
People who had booked in a later blue lagoon tour had their bus nove off approximately 15 minutes late ours left 60 minutes late.
The Gulfloss falls were beautiful and a 30 minute stop was just enough. I would recommend the walk down to the lower waterfall so you get a fuller view.
BG the guide mentioned 110 steps. If there are they are not arduous. I'm 60 and was fine
The geyser stop was OK. Geysir was a rush of steam and not as high as I thought but heh that's nature.
The national park stop was good for general photos but apart from the bus view you didn't get much of a tectonic plate view.
The driver did really well given the conditions were pretty much a snow blizzard all day.
As for BG.... I'm sure he does not really need to roll his r's in every word and it did become grating eventually.
Main complaint was everyone being dropped at hotels again with Bsi being the last stop. This added an extra 40 minutes delay to the journey which meant I had to get a taxi back to my hotel and then onto the airport. If you start from BSI then that should be the first drop off point.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delayed departure and the uncertainty regarding the trip confirmation due to the challenging weather conditions. We're glad you enjoyed Gulfoss falls and found the stop sufficient. Thank you for recommending the walk to the lower waterfall. Regarding the geyser stop, nature can vary, but we appreciate your understanding. We'll work on clearer communication about the national park stop and consider your suggestion regarding drop-off points. We appreciate your feedback and hope for the opportunity to provide you with a smoother journey in the future.
