Embark on a full-day adventure exploring Iceland's natural wonders on the Golden Circle Route. Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your Reykjavik hotel or cruise port, where you'll board a comfortable shared coach. First, delve into the historical significance of Thingvellir National Park, home to the world's oldest parliament established in 930AD. Marvel at the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Next, witness the awe-inspiring power of nature at Gullfoss, known as the "Golden Waterfall," and the erupting Strokkur geyser, shooting water high into the air at regular intervals. Conclude the Golden Circle tour with a visit to the impressive Kerid volcanic crater. Then, unwind at the Secret Lagoon, Iceland's oldest swimming pool, surrounded by enchanting steam clouds. Immerse yourself in the warm waters fed by underground hot springs, enjoying the soothing temperature year-round. After relaxing, return to Reykjavik aboard the coach, where your memorable journey concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the cruise port. If you're lucky, catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights during winter evenings as you soak in the lagoon's tranquil waters.

        Other worldly views!
This was such an interesting tour. You got to explore all of the different landscapes of Iceland, that really sets it apart. The hike wasn’t anything too strenuous, so it was a nice way to see amazing views and get some exercise in. Our guide, Alan, was so kind and informative. The weather wasn’t very good during the hike part, and he made sure everyone was safe and staying all together. It was an amazing way to spend the day!

        Great Trip
Monika was a great tour guide. She was friendly, helpful and gave a lot of great information. If you’re going to Iceland you need to visit the Blue Lagoon and the Golden Circle.

        The perfect tour!
I loved this tour! You get to see so many unbelievably beautiful places. Our tour guide, Matt, really made the experience though. He was so funny, taught us so much about Iceland, and even helped with taking pictures for everyone. Keeping us safe all the while. 10/10 would recommend!

        Excellent Customer Care
Our tour guide Zak was absolutely amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited and was very patient with the questions thrown at him by our very inquisitive group. Nothing was too much trouble, more so when we explained that if we got back after the trip at 8.00pm we would miss our airport transfer. So kindly, Zak called the bus operator and arranged for us to be picked up outside town which meant we made our transfer on time Going above and beyond is a true indication of excellent customer care and we are very grateful. Please acknowledge our gratitude to Zak with a great big fat THANK YOU!

Dennis is the ICE-MAN! Great guide and fun tour.
Our guide Dennis was an absolute delight. I loved his enthusiasm and clear love of iceland. Despite poor conditions, we hiked through crazy winds with no views and he had a smile on his face the whole time. The hike itself was challenging and he was very accommodating to meeting the needs of a split group between ambitious and less ambitious physical condition folks. Pickup was prompt and he was a good driver with safety in mind. Dennis also went above and beyond and took us to the bridge between continents which was a major detour. It would’ve been awesome to have better views but he can’t control the weather! I wish I could hire him as a personal tour guide and driver for other sights and sounds of iceland. Very enjoyable experience.

        Amazing Golden Circle Tour!!
Our tour guide, Addi, was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful with advice, and full of personality. Our family was so impressed with every part of the tour - all of the sights we were able to take in, the photos we were able to take, and the comfortable drive. Thank you, Addi, for such a memorable day!

        Great Bus Tour
This bus tour shows all the great points of the peninsula. Tony, our guide, was great; he answered all of our questions, was giving information/facts the whole time, and always threw in a joke! Overall a great trip!

        Amazing.
What a great day. We saw a bunch of the southern coastline which is rugged and beautiful. The Katla volcano/glacier was astounding. Our guide to the ice cave was knowledgeable and helpful. My 10 year old quickly felt comfortable and said he’s a glacial expert now. 🤪 bonus: we saw an arctic fox! Great waterfalls on the way home. This was a must do tour. It was worth every penny.

The best tour of my life!
My husband and I brought our show to the Reykjavik Fringe, and we had only one day to get outside of the city. I have randomly booked a tour with BusTravel Iceland (to see the gold circle), and it was such a great choice! The tour was very well planned and it left a lasting impression, it was one of the best days in 2024 and definitely the best guided tour I have ever had in my life! The guide, Matt, was very nice and very professional, passionate about Iceland and very knowledgeable, and also extremely shrewd and funny. We could not stop laughing, and this was a great way to retain the many extraordinary facts about this incredible country. I felt that the pace was just right, just as the time spent in every location, and the order in which we have visited the sites. Everything was clear and - truly - just as a perfect tour should be. In the end of the day we felt fulfilled, inspired, but not too tired. The bus driver, Artur, did also a great job, making sure everything goes smoothly, and was, too, friendly and helpful. I warmly recommend this tour (or any other tour with those guys) to everyone!

Golden Circle and Hvammsvik Lagoon with Monika
Did the Golden Circle and Hvammsvik Lagoon Small Bus Tour with Monika today. Great selection of sites. Good amount of time at each. Smaller size of group made for easier movement. Monika was a great guide. Professional. Very knowledgeable. Friendly. Great sense of humor. Playlist was an added bonus! Many thanks for making our day great!

        Incredible South Iceland
Highly recommended! Have no exact words to describe the sights we went and mind blowing experience. Hiked all the way to the top of waterfalls , seen glaciers, and name it, it’s all worth it! Our guide Alain is professional and knowledgeable. He’s patient with some who come late at the bus and has the audacity to be upset. There is no way this man deserves any rudeness because he is great in doing his job by keeping us safe and showing the incredible otherworldly beauty of Iceland! Thank you so much Alain, we hope to have another tour with you in the future. Hats off as well to our amazing driver Peter for navigating the narrow roads in such an unpredictable weather.

We are so happy with the tour! Our guide and driver Atli did an amazing job, and even though the weather was harsh (snow blizzard) we never felt unsafe. The sites are beautiful and really really cool, and Atli is friendly, funny and has a great knowledge about the history, culture, economy, food and landscape of Iceland. I really recommend the tour, it was very affordable and fun, and a perfect all day trip (it took about 10 hours). Dress warmly if visiting during winter, it was cold as heck :D

This tour is great , takes in all the things you need to see and with plenty of time at all the stops. Pick up was painless and on time in a small mini bus , then transferred to a slightly larger bus - 20 seats or so , Hilda , the driver / guide was brilliant , very informative and seems like she enjoys her job . The highlight for me was the Gullfoss water fall , it’s incredible . The secret lagoon is really nice , you can rent a towel if you don’t have one . It didn’t seem like we were in the bus all day because it’s so well planned , maximum drive between stops is around 45 mins and the scenery is stunning . We booked the tour via trip advisor because we had used them before on previous holidays and they always use really good tour operators. All in all a fantastic day out

Very unprofessional tour guide named Simon, not giving the day itinerary to the group, not carrying how everyone is, getting off the bus first and walking away with a small group of followers before the rest had a chance to even get off, not mentioning the elderly ones left far behind (SHOCKING attitude!)
He was mostly focused on himself and talking to the driver in Icelandic when we tried to ask itinerary questions (what's next, how much time on the bus etc).
Simon was visibly kind to the the US customers (had asked at the start of the tour who is from which country) expecting tips afterwards. He actually even said "Hi guys, I often get asked if tips are mandatory in Iceland, they aren't but if you give us any I will share them with the driver". The tour could have been nice if there were a different tour guide. Very disappointing and pleasant experience (not just mine, I spoke to another European tourist from Germany a day after and she had the same bad impressions).
I would certainly recommend a different tour operator.
Also the tour time was changed and information was sent a day before by an EMAIL (not a text message nor a phone call!!!)

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and we are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your tour. We understand that not everyone on the tour is in the same condition, but as it says on our website, this tour requires moderate hiking and given the tight schedule and ever-changing valley of the volcano, we are trying to get the passengers to the best viewing position. We understand that this could have been viewed as hurrying. It was never our intention to leave someone behind, our customers are, however, welcome to do the hike at their own pace if they can't keep up with the rest of the group. We are sorry to hear that you had the impression that the guide was intentionally asking questions. We, at BusTravel, have not only created a very international environment within our staff but strongly stand for equality, openness, and respect in the treatment of our passengers. Símon is one of our most knowledgeable and experienced guides, and he has confirmed to me that by introducing such a question he only meant to start a conversation and to know passengers a little better. Thank you for bringing the problem with pick-up time change to our attention, however, due to the post-covid restart of the service, sometimes we need to change the time of the tour, and if the email about this is not responded we always try to reach the customer by all means provided by the customer.

Booked to go on The Golden Circle/Secret Lagoon tour with this company, having brought our 85 year old Aunty as a Christmas/birthday present.
First trip was understandably cancelled due to the weather conditions on the day, rescheduled for the day after.
Received an email 10 minutes AFTER the scheduled pick up time to cancel due to "high winds"........strangely, the other tour operators were still running their tours, including the same itinerary as we'd booked with this appalling company.
My wife and I are not only disappointed, especially for our Aunt, but also totally unimpressed with this company.
      Really would not recommend whatsoever!

Hey there, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the weather conditions on your travel date were a lot worse then predicted and the authorities decided to keep the roads closed for safety reasons. We offered you to join the tour on a different date or to receive a full refund. We are extremely sorry we could not push through the tour as planned, but safety is of course first. We hope you still enjoyed your time in Iceland!

It was a well- spent day! If you don’t have much time or if it’s winter time then I’d recommend to do this trip... however, if it’s summer time then better rent a car and do it on our own as you will be more flexible time-wise at every stop. The secret lagoon was very nice and warm although we thought it will be much bigger. Overall, the trip organisation and guide were good!!

We had a simply amazing time on all our Bus travel Iceland tours. We booked onto four (volcano and geothermal hike, south Iceland day trip, golden circle, and northern lights - all of them really surpassed our expectations. The scenery was unforgettable but what really made it fantastic was the guide Monika and the Driver Tomek. We felt in very safe hands and we learnt so much about Iceland and the surrounding area. Monika in particular went above and beyond with the detailed information she told us about Iceland in general and all of the sites we visited. I thoroughly recommend this tour and would recommend using Bus Travel Iceland for multiple trips. We went on several and was loved all of them.

What an amazing day we had on this tour we loved it
Howser our guide and driver is a great guy and very passionate about his country and its beauty.
The depth of his overall knowledge of Iceland and all its history is phenomenal but Howser delivers the information with such passion he is funny and very entertaining so its never boring.
" Did you know Viking hats did not have horns"

There was a really good balance between activity and travel time. The bus was modern, comfortable and clean

The secret lagoon visit was a real treat and we had it practically to ourselves as there was only 9 of us on the bus

There was 3 of us travelling together and we all loved this trip so highly recommended

I recommend this tour in particular because it includes the Secret Lagoon, which was a fantastic and worthwhile experience unto itself as one of Iceland's oldest pools, albeit smaller and more quaint than the Blue or Sky Lagoons.

Our guide and bus driver Josef struck the perfect balance of being informative about what we were seeing/about to see, injecting a wry sense of humor, and also just playing music while we all gawked at the stunning Icelandic landscape. We received an adequate amount of time at each destination and ate lunch at the Geysir food court which offered a variety of meal options -- although I would recommend bringing a couple snacks as you may not eat lunch until closer to 1:30.

The guide Chiara was super friendly and very courteous. The trip was fantastic, although next time we would select the trip to Blue Lagoon where most people from the Princess Cruise ship went. On the way back to the cruise terminal, my wife left her NorthFace down jacket on the overhead storage compartment. She did not realize it until the next day when our cruise ship was well on its way to Scotland. This jacket has great sentimental value to my wife, because it was a gift from our son using his first paycheck right after school, so my wife could stay warm while visiting Iceland. When I contacted BusTour Iceland, they said they found the jacket and offer to send it back. We just had to cover postage. After a couple of emails back and forth, the jacket is now on its way back to us in California. We are deeply gratified for their help. Andrius at customer service even turned down our offer to pay a small fee for their troubles and the run around. BusTour Iceland demonstrates an example of the typical friendliness of the people in Iceland during our multi port visits. I will be back - to the Blue Lagoon - on their bus tour. Visiting Iceland should be on everyone’s bucket list.

This is a great trip if your time is short and you want to hit all the hot spots. Stopped at the crater, then headed to the Secret lagoon where we had 90 minutes to relax and enjoy the geothermal spa (I want this back home!). Our guide, Glumur, was so knowledgeable and funny, he made the trip feel very welcoming. We also didn't have the best weather but our driver Linus made sure we got everywhere safely. The views of the falls and fissures were breathtaking. Dress warmly and you'll have a wonderful time!
