          South Coast w Verjan
I went on the 2-day tour of the south coast with Verjan. He was fun and dedicated. He took us to an extra stop we had time for. The tour was a great introduction to the south coast of Iceland gutting some of the major spots.

          Silfra snorkeling with Arctic adventures
We did our snorkeling at the end of February. The scenery was stunning, the entire Thingvellir National Park was covered in snow. You couldn't ask for a more stunning setting. But as you can imagine with the snow you get the cold. I think it was minus 8 degrees Celsius on the morning of our trip. So it was cold. But we were aware of this, we checked the weather, and the snorkeling hand book that you are told to read also tells you the country is called iceland for a reason. So we were prepared for the cold and everything accept your hands was OK, you just couldn't keep your hands warm. Getting suited up In the carpark was an experience. But again one we knew about. We were all a little nervous of going into the almost freezing water, especially as you could see the lake looked frozen, but I think the cold air temperatures made the water feel much warmer than we expected. None of us felt colder in the water than we did out of it. Marcin our guide was excellent. I think he said he was polish but spoke great English. He was very good with our youngest son who did struggle a little towards the end or the tour. Being in the clearest water you have ever been in, between two continental plates, in the most stunning setting. A most amazing experience. We booked for our eldest son who loves the water. The rest of us weren't sure about it but did it as a family. And so pleased we did. Something you will never forget.

          Had an Amazing Time!
Having perfect weather helped make this day trip amazing. The glacier itself was stunning. I couldn't take enough pictures of the ice and surrounding mountains. Snow, Ice, and Sun! I've wanted to hike on a glacier since I learned about them in school. This trip did not disappoint. Our guides, Francesco and Martin, were not only knowledgeable and experienced with the location, but also fun. They explained interesting features of the glacier and found a great spot for us to climb. The tour included equipment, and enough instruction for first timers to successfully climb.

          Amazing experience
It was a great trip getting to go to the museum before hand to learn about the lights and what other countries thought the lights were. And then we had a great guide who was very knowledgeable and was able to find the gaps in the clouds on a cloudy evening and find the lights. We then had loads of photos taken of us and the sky which we were able to access online the next day. It is 100% worth the extra bit of money spent for a smaller group. All round great experience.

          Glaciers and waterfalls
The whole day was a great experience. The guides were great - nice and relaxed but knowledgeable and entertaining. The glacier hike was amazing and I would thoroughly recommend this.

          Highly recommended Iceland tour guide
We had the most awesome guide. Vjeran was fully engaged with our family; hiking with us, finding iconic photo opportunities, taking our pictures and providing lots of valuable Iceland background & information.

Felt rushed; didn't get what I wanted out of this tour
I booked the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Kayak Tour directly through Arctic Adventure's website for 12900 ISK per person in August 2023. I had been really looking forward to this tour as I wanted a chance to see the famed glacier lagoon before it would be irrevocably lost to the ravages of time and climate change. The meeting point was at the Jökulsárlón parking lot, towards the back where the Fish & Chips food truck is. There are a couple of trailers with different tour companies printed on the side. We met our guide, who provided us with a kayak suit to go over our clothes, waterproof boots, and a safety vest. While they do encourage you to dress warmly, I found that I was sweating even before we made it to the boats. I would advise prospective kayakers to wear thin base layers and lots of sunscreen. I would also highly recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early as it does take some time to fully outfit yourself in proper gear. Some people in our group arrived late, so everyone ended up waiting for them, which in turn cut into our own excursion time. Our tour group was about 8-10 people and I thought it was a large enough group to warrant a second kayak guide but we only had one. I've since forgotten our guide's name but I do remember he was from nearby Höfn. I think he did the best he could but I found it difficult to keep up with the group so I missed out on a lot of his insights about the lagoon itself. I feel the tour would highly benefit from a second kayak guide for the stragglers and beginners. This way, I wouldn't feel as rushed nor would I miss out on a valuable learning experience. We did manage to see some wildlife and massive icebergs, the latter which were quite frightening and much louder than I expected.

Had a wonderful day trip with our guide Leroy , prompt pick up great atmosphere throughout. Plenty of time at all the stops to take in the scenery and have a good wander, just the right amount of information given throughout the day. Would recommend this trip.

Amazing, unique experience with breathtaking views
This glacial walking tour is a Must Do! Dress warmly and be prepared for rain or snow and wind, although we were very lucky for our time on the glacier, the weather does change frequently in Iceland. Our guide, Indra, shared so much information about glaciers and made time for anyone who wanted to see a special view or have a unique experience that required his help. He was patient and helpful with people who needed extra assistance and it felt safe the whole time with our special equipment. This was a special experience and our group will have these amazing pictures and memories forever. This unique experience requires a guided tour and Arctic Adventures was a great outfit to partner with! If you are on the fence, this experience is definitely worth your time!!

I would have liked more formality
For me it was a bad option, all the agencies canceled because there was no chance of auroras and they left anyway, for my taste to charge for the excursion, they tell you that it is valid for 3 years to return, but most of the people do not They come back, you travel to other parts of the world and you don't repeat. I think it is not a good option as an agency. I sent them an email to repeat the next day and they responded late, meaning they cannot carry out the excursion the next day, they should be more formal when providing a service.

          Silfra Fissure: Cold but Unique!
This might be one of the most unique things we have ever done! The water is crystal clear, and it's amazing to be drifting between two continents. The air and water are cold, but you are kept dry by a multi-layer wetsuit. The added bonus is that the fissure is located inside Thingvellir National Park that has a tremendous amount of cultural significance for Iceland and natural beauty. We got a chance to see iridescent clouds prior to entering the water. Arctic adventures does a great job picking you up in convenient areas in Reykjavik close to your hotel/hostel and making sure that you get a sense of the history of Iceland during your tours. We had Vjeran as our guide for two excursions, and his passion for Iceland was contagious! I highlight recommend this excursion as well as working with Arctic Adventures for any excursions while in Iceland.

          Afternoon golden circle tour
Our tour guide Kasper (potentially Casper) was brilliant, very enthusiastic, friendly and funny. He definitely made the trip more enjoyable with fun facts, humour and great music taste which was needed due to the poor weather. The sights were amazing and definitely worth seeing. Thankyou Kasper hope I spelt your name correctly.

The Northern Lights or The Aurora Borealis
The Northern Lights or The Aurora Borealis is definitely an unforgettable experience. This was our second visit to Iceland in an attempt to see the Lights again. I can highly recommend Artic Adventures and the Super Jeep tour. if you want to ‘CHASE THE LIGHTS’ We were collected from our hotel by our guide at the stated time. Our guide Hjörtur was excellent, whilst leaving the city limits for less light polluted areas he told us all about Aurora Borealis and gave useful tips to chase the Northern Lights! Whilst waiting for the spectacular light show Hjörtur provided us with Hot chocolate and chocolate cakes. Hjörtur found us a perfect spot to sit and wait, and within an hour the magic begun. He even took photos for us with great results. Thank you Hjörtur and Artic Adventures

This was my first tour booked with this company. Originally i had a transfer to the blue lagoon, that got canceled. My tour was 7/18, but my new adjusted ticket said 6/18. I emailed serval times, assuming it was a typo since it said active; I never received a response. I awaited my tour and got STOOD UP. When i called the office they said my tour guide was already out of the city, and they could rebook/refund (that takes up to 60 days). I had a very short trip planned and honestly this was a tour i had booked the whole trip around. I have no clue if the tours themselves are amazing, i’m sure it is with all the great reviews. I, myself, will never book a tour through them again.

I confirmed 3 times that my day trips were refundable and all 3 times, they responded 'Yes, 100% if more than 24 hours before the start of the tour.' Well I cancelled several days beforehand and received an email saying they will not give any refunds because the government granted them some kind of COVID hardship. I CANNOT believe their website still says that trips are refundable! What an extremely unethical company!!!

I did the Golden Circle excursion on 4 September. The tour itself was excellent. It was beautifully paced, varied and memorable.

Our Hungarian born guide was Monica. Two of the party were travelling together and were disruptive from start to finish. For example, they were very late for agreed departure times at successive stops, they argued bitterly and wrongly that they had not been given directions to see an active geyser, and they pressurised Monica into trying to let them have a free additional Northern Lights tour (which they took with the same company, presumably) because the previous evening the lights were not visible to the naked eye.

The rest of the party spent at least thirty minutes longer on the bus than necessary, just waiting around for them. As a group, we were appalled by their unrelenting bad behaviour towards Monica and lavish in praise of her response.

Monica handled the situation masterfully, with extraordinary compassion in the face of unkind provocation, and with unfailing enthusiasm.

Our tour guide Ian was right on time for the morning pickup and a very safe driver. He was knowledgable about Iceland and its history, sharing info and stories while he drove via his microphone setup. The sites and viewpoints around the Golden Circle were absolutely stunning and we never felt rushed. Lunch was at Geysir and that restaurant can get busy, so order quickly.

We were picked up at 9:30 and had some minor hiccups with the seating in the minivan which were quickly fixed, we saw lots of amazing things and had a great time overall. I would say we’d have preferred to hear more facts about the sights we were seeing, and the audio wasn’t brilliant so we didn’t hear some basic instructions about when and where to meet back at the van. Helga was lovely and very helpful and we had a great experience overall.

Going in January with limited daylight hours, the tour order had to be re-arranged so we did the Waterfall first, the Hot Spring next and lunch, followed by the Secret Lagoon ending with the National Park.
The small group experience was lovely, and the tour guide/driver Wally (real name possibly Völundur, apologies if I got that wrong!) was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and witty, he made the tour a delight and we learned lots of things about Icelandic history and culture.
The Secret Lagoon was amazing, so relaxing and the highlight for me. The waterfall was really frozen over but still totally stunning. All in all a superb and memorable day. Would highly recommend.

It's a very complete trip around the Golden Circle with an extra stop to relax at the end of the tour and some surprise stop along the way. Personally, it had been great to have one more hour to visit the national park and the cascade a bit more relaxed. But overall nice tour. Recommended.

Devin was a great guide, knowledgeable and humorous. We were well prepared for each stop on the tour. The Secret Lagoon was amazing, rolling in the snow and back into the hot pool! Wonderful landscapes along the way, and each stop was beautiful and interesting. Good to be in a smallish group. Good value for money.

Great day. Saw lots but didn’t feel rushed. Our guide Siggi made sure we had a great experience. He told lots of stories and gave us lots of information along the way.
Enjoyed that it was a small group.
