First up is the near-neon blue Kerid crater lake. Continue to Gullfoss, whose name means 'Golden Falls,’ and take in this stunning, tiered waterfall as it plunges 105 feet (32 meters) into the Hvita River. Next, explore the most active hot spring, Strokkur, steaming water 98 feet (30 meters) into the air every eight minutes. Then, travel to Gullfoss Falls. From here, visit the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, home to a rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Learn how the plates are slowly moving apart and see their exposed ridges. After this final stop, travel back to Reykjavik where your tour concludes at the original departure point.

        Golden Circle Tour
Great tour guide, Gudrun. At the start of the tour our bus got a flat tire, within 10 minutes a new bus came to pick us up. Gudrun made sure we reached all our destinations on time. Our favorite was the tomato farm. The waterfall was wild. The entire day was a memorable experience!

Good tours but customer service would make me use another company in future
Booked blue lagoon with golden circle including kerid crater. When blue lagoon was cancelled was offered alternative trip to secret lagoon which we did not want to do. Was then offered golden circle tour and they didn't say that would include kerid crater which it should have done. Was eventually put on the premium golden circle including a visit to horse and tomato farm that I did not want to do, and consequently was charged for premium tour even though I never asked to be put on this tour. Leaves a very bitter taste of this company which up to now we're very good. Asked them to explain the refund calculation and they kept ignoring my emails because they knew they were overcharging me. Awful service

A great tour with a little bit of everything!
We did so much on this tour and yet didn't feel rushed at all! We were able to see many sites along the Golden Circle including waterfalls, a volcano crater, and took a walk in between two tectonic plates. We were able to feed some beautiful Icelandic horses as well! Our guide, Karol, was friendly, relaxed, funny, and had great tunes to listen to in the van (90's alt rock). The Blue Lagoon was the perfect way to end the day - we all felt rejuvenated! Thank you again!

        No hot lagoon in sight
Excellent alternative for those not interested in a hot springs / golden circle tour. The scenery was spectacular, and the tour guide Ritchie was both knowledgeable and approachable (taking photos for anyone that asked. Time of the tour (11 hrs inc pick-up and drop-off) was just about right and the coach comfortable (although it does not have any USB charge points - so take additonal power packs as you'll need them)

        Great tour, beautiful locations
We went on a full day Golden Circle and Kerid Crater tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of different tours and tour operators available but very happy with the service from BusTravel Iceland. Everything ran smoothly and on time, staff were helpful and provided lots of interesting information without being overbearing. Stopped at 4 different sites and had enough time at each without being bored. Would happily book another tour with them.

        Great tour company
We were one of the first tour groups of the season from the cruise port so there was a little confusion about the pick-up point. Our bus left before we got to the correct pick-up spot but staff from Bus Travel Iceland resolved the issue and the bus returned to pick us up. From that point on, the day was fantastic. Throughout the day, our guide gave us so much information about Iceland, our stops and personal stories about her life growing up in Iceland. The places we visited were breathtaking - we had an unusually warm day and were able to see rainbows that formed at both waterfalls we visited. The place we stopped for lunch was good, giving us a few food options as well as a shopping option. We had a long but very pleasant day on this tour and I would highly recommend this tour and this company.

Wonderful Golden Circle / Horse -Tomato Farm Tour
The tour was wonderful and our guide / driver, Bryndis made it even better. It was a little rainy and cocked, but Bryndis made sure we knew what to expect and gave great insights along the drive. My favorite part was the farm. Totally unexpected.

Very beautiful trip around The Golden Circlet
Drove with friendly and helpful guide(Addi). Saw many beautiful sites and landscapes. Addi was a good teller all the way. He also recommended other places to see. The secret lagoon was something else than blue lagoon, but definitely worth a visit. Thingvellir was the most spectacular stops off all after my opinion 🙂 The day went very fast by.

Great way to take advantage of Iceland’s long days
I consider £65 for an 8 hours trip great value but others (including my husband who didn’t go) may not like so long on a coach with 50 strangers. Paco our driver and Daniel our guide (originally from NY US) were great. The info about the sights and the timings were great. Toilet on board but plenty of consideration to toilet stops so no need to use. Coach very nice comfortable and clean with great wifi only thing that could be an issue is that no power points in seats to charge devices - just 1 usb and 1 micro usb by driver. Maybe some drinking water on board would have been a nice touch.

      Houser and Lucas were amazing

Houser was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. I couldn’t believe how much Information he knew about Iceland and his English was fantastic.
Lucas the driver did a great job - Some crazy weather conditions and he was cool as a cucumber (id be freaking out if it was me driving!)

I took the trip on Saturday 22nd February 2020, and it was absolutely wonderful. As with everything else in Iceland, the cost is expensive if you compare it to other countries. However compared with other bus companies I thought it was a very competitive price.
Our guide was Lasma, and she was knowledgable, enthusiastic and informative. We were lucky that it was a bright, sunny day, so we could see all of the attractions at their most appealing. Although the tour lasts a good 8 hours, you're never on the bus for more than about an hour at the time, so that was good. There are plenty of stops where you can buy food and drink - personally I took sandwiches and snacks with me to save money.
Kerid crater was good - Gulfoss was wonderful, Strokkur geyser absolutely spectacular, and Thingvellir was brilliant. Apart from the price, I can't think of one thing about this tour that could have been better. It's a MUST if you're visiting Iceland.

I considered very carefully the light before I booked this as I was travelling in Winter and wanted to get some good photos. The choice of a 10.30am start to the trip worked out perfectly with the schedule. Travelling out, the sun was rising over Thingvellir, lighting the mountains with a pink tinge. There was enough light to see the main attractions and just enough to walk the circumference of Kerid Crater at the end. The pick up stop was easy to find and near enough to walk to from my hotel so no need to book an additonal pick up. The bus arrived in the allocated time. The guide was fantastic, talking to us for most of the journey about the attractions and about the history and culture of Iceland while travelling between destinations. I learnt loads! There is a stop at Thingvellir where you can do an optional walk into the Rift valley. The scenery was so beautiful I could have wept! There is a long stop at Geysir with the option of buying lunch in one of the various restaurants. There is another opportunity for food and drinks at Gullfoss which is amazing but cold! The final stop at Kerid is a worthwhile addition. I enjoyed walking around the top as the light was fading. I liked it even more when I learned it was featured in the Sugacubes video "Birthday". Im not usually a fan of tours but this one is a must do experience when in Iceland and good value for money.

My girlfriend and I visited Iceland in January to go and see all of the main attractions in the golden circle and Kerid volcanic crater.

We arrived 30 minutes early as stated on the booking but the bus didn’t arrive until just after the starting time of the tour so you could probably arrive a little later! When the bus arrived the tour guide took our names and then we set off (the tour guide explained he was Croatian but I have forgotten his name sorry! However, he was really good). We travelled for 45 minutes through the snow and stopped in Bláskógabygo for a toilet break and to get some food. Was a good stop as there was a really nice bakery and a few other shops. Then we headed off to the Kerid crater which was stunning and all of the trees covered in snow made it even better. After Kerid crater we headed off to the Gullfoss waterfall which was magical! Out of all of the locations I would definitely recommend seeing this in the snow.

For lunch we headed off to the Geyser area where there was a very nice cafe with a good souvenir and winter clothing shop. They give you an hour and 20 minutes here so you are able to eat your lunch, catch a geyser erupting and have a look in the shop before getting on the bus to the last location. The last spot was the Mid-Atlantic rift where you walk between the two plates and get some amazing photos of the surrounding scenery! There is also a cafe here for toilet breaks! We then headed off back to Reykjavík and got off by our hotel.

Overall, the experience was amazing! I would definitely recommend going in January so you can see it all in the snow and we chose the 9am time slot which was perfect as you could see everything in the light!

Looked at various options for this tour and feel that we made a good choice booking was straightforward and competitively priced
We were kept informed by text and emails by Bus Travel Iceland. Everything was absolutely faultless from booking, pick up, the tour itself and return to hotel
We were picked up on time and joined our group which was led by our tour guide Beggie and our wonderful driver Albert.
The day was amazing Beggie was so knowledgeable and interesting, we were driven by Albert to the various locations throughout the day whilst Beggie gave us commentary and facts about the island and its history. Sufficient time at each location and we saw some incredible natural wonders
I would highly recommend this trip as part of your itinerary

Fantastic day from start to finish! Picked up on time by Perla & Michal who couldn’t have been more helpful, Perla’s enthusiasm for Iceland cannot be comprehended! It’s refreshing to meet someone who adores the country they live & the knowledge she has is unrivalled! I would like to have bottled up her energy & brought it home. We did the tour as a family of 6 with adults & children, one as young as 9 who thoroughly enjoyed the extra surprise stop to meet Icelandic horses! This made my daughters day! Beautiful sights with photos to treasure thanks to Perla, not to forget the music and her singing. The whole day went beyond my expectations! Thoroughly recommend this tour whether you’re young or old, it is worth booking!

Lovely, well-organized tour. Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable, bus was comfortable (with WiFi!). The whole thing was very punctual — we departed from each of the stops exactly on time and arrived back in Reykjavik right on schedule. Overall, a great experience.

Amazing Golden Circle tour, we managed to see a lot of sights but it never felt rushed or stressed. Tour guide Mia (?) was very informative and also very well organised. The driver was great, always felt perfectly safe even though the conditions were very wintry and we saw two cars that had just slid off the road into the snow.

Apparently this is a small local company and we would definitely recommend them for tours around Iceland.

Our guide Thora was amazing.. She explained our surroundings and the sites in great detail and it was lovely to listen to her excitement. All of the sites were incredible and worth visiting although I wish we had more time to visit the kerid crater Lake and waterfall as it took a while to walk to and from the bus in the snow. I would highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed however, I would wrap up with plenty of layers as the wind is very strong!! Will definitely do this tour again in the future

I absolutely loved the relaxed but invigorating day, with Siggi as the tour guide. I met 2 other solo travellers, and we all agreed he had the perfect voice, amount of info, and funny stories, to keep us happily entertained and totally at ease throughout the bus journeys. The activities and sights, speak for themselves! Id do this every day this month, if I could!
