About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- cristinak6910 contributionsCave tourAbsolutely loved this adventure! Our guide was awesome and we had the best time, the caves were fantastic. Must do if you are ever in Iceland 10/10 experience that you won’t forget!Written 19 April 2023
- PattiBobN0 contributionsA "DO NOT MISS EXPERIENCE"! NOT your usual tour...THE BEST EVER!AWESOME! Damien, aka "JJ", is an amazing guide. This is not a "usual" tour. Be prepared to have FUN! Damien is informative, engaging and excellent providing history and geo facts. My husband and I are 77 and 66 years young, respectively, and we had an absolute blast in the cave! Damien made us feel safe and we had great laughs! We also had water from a hot stream and Damien was our "chef" masterfully cooking eggs in the hot spring that were delicious! We were delighted that this was an "activity tour" rather than just touring on a bus...the day is truly a lifetime memory...a "DO NOT MISS" tour!Written 25 July 2022
- alexander_lakey0 contributionsFabulous tour with a great guide to quiet spots in this amazing country! We spent the day (just as 2 of us., not a big group like most tours) with Damian going around the secret spots of Reykjanes penisula.. We had a fantastic time despite the challenging weather! He was a great guide, taking us to a lava tube, out into the lava field near the Blue Lagoon, down a cave to see an incredible fissure and lava flow, to a hot spring where we cooked eggs in a geysir and ate them and then to Iceland's magic lake (their answer to Loch Ness in Scotland). We visited incredible places, always felt safe, he provided all we needed (including hot drinks and biscuits to keep us going) and we almost completely avoided the crowds. I'd definitely go out with them again, we had a great time and saw things we would never have foujd ourselves. Highly recommended!Written 5 March 2022
- ryanshuler0 contributionsTrolls, Elves, Volcanoes? Yup.Excellent tour by a very knowledgeable tour guide. My wife and I were the only ones on the trip and experienced a once in a lifetime trip to places we would have never seen with another tour company. The only unfortunate thing is that we never received the link to our photos and didn't take any ourselves... I believe that was more my doing than theirs as my email has had many issues recently. Overall a solid 10/10 outing however!Written 20 September 2021
- Jet216668408540 contributionsBest Iceland Excursion! This is a very unique experience as it is a private tour, and our guide Damian was incredible! He takes you to various caves and shares his knowledge of the rock formations and geological sites as you crawl through and climb over rocks and passages. Afterwards, we drove to a remote are where we hiked to a scenic geothermal river to bathe, and then had a lunch of Icelandic hot dogs which he cooked for us in the hot springs! This was a very physical experience, but Damian will go at a pace that is comfortable for each participant. Be prepared for a fun filled day as well as a workout!Written 12 July 2021
- rleeroyjenkins0 contributionsReykjanes GeotripExcellent, one of our best experiences in Iceland. Przemo put on a great tour and was super knowledgeable. Took great care of us going through the lava tube and checking out some of the geysers and geothermal hot spots outside if Reykjavik. Totally above and beyond what we expected, highly recommend these guys to anyone visiting Iceland.Written 15 March 2020
- neontank0 contributionsUnique Caving & Hot Springs Tour - not the normOnly in Iceland for 4 nights, so spent a long time looking for tours which combined things we specifically wanted to do. Stumbled upon G spot Iceland, and how glad am I we did. The tour we picked was caving & the hot springs in the mountains (Hot and Cold G spots challenge). We never look for 'personal/non-touristy' tours, as they are hard to find and mostly very expensive. Well, this is what we got, and for a great price! Only the two of us on this particular tour (although they cater for more), with two guides. Took a punt with the caving, and instead of doing the caves with queues of tourists queuing to get in, we went to some caves where no tourists ever go. When we arrived (in very snowy and windy conditions), every cave entrance was buried in several meters of snow. This, however, would not prevent our guides from digging through several meters of snow and ice to gain entrance to one of the caves! Cave was amazing with several chambers linked via small crawl-throughs (no-one else was in the whole region, and definitely not in the cave) , and more than worth the effort to get in. Next was the hike to the hot springs in the mountains. It's a long trek, but well worth arriving at this natural phenomenon, and taking a dip in the hot spring surrounded by snow was a little surreal. Cooking hot dogs in a thermal pool finished the day, and returned back to the hotel shattered after a long 10 hour day! The guides aren't your traditional tour guides, they are cavers who have turned their passion into a tour - these guys are incredibly knowledgeable about all things 'caving & geothermal', and always considered safety a priority during the caving. If you want to do the generic tourist route, where you will be surrounded by other tourists trying to get a good shot, then these guys probably aren't for you - stick with the 'BudgetIceland' type tour company. If, however, you want to go off the beaten track, and really get a sense of what Iceland is really about, then 'G spot Iceland' are the tour guides for you (I say 'tour guides', it really didn't feel like that, it felt more like hanging out with a couple of buddies and letting them show you what they love - Iceland).Written 3 March 2020
- PurpleBento0 contributionsSuperb off the beaten path caves and sightsThis was a great day tour with an engaging guide (and expert spelunker) to places that weren't on the roster with other tours. Exploring the lava cave and the geothermal vents and craters near the Blue Lagoon were the highlights for me. Safety and caring for the delicate features of the caves was clearly a priority, which I appreciated. Would book again.Written 1 March 2020
- DGSABC0 contributionsExcellent.I was planning to go sea angling in keflavik, but it was cancelled due to bad weather, the day before I was going. I needed to find something to do for that day and found this. Booked up, Turned out I was the only one going but they arranged it anyway at short notice and even offered to pick me up from where I was staying when I called. The trip was simply amazing. I was taken to places that tourist never go, but are just as worth or even better than popular tourist attractions in iceland. We couldn't go down one of the caves due to a danger of gases. But went to the other one which was the best part of the trip. Exploring the lava cave is a totally different place to out side, and the guides are super informative, helping me understand the formation of the cave and and make sure you make the most out of the trip. Would highly recommend.Written 25 February 2020
- gabrielaLAX0 contributionsSo happy we chose G spot Iceland for our trip!We actually booked two tours (including Northern Lights Hunting) with GspotIceland and they were both fantastic. Damian and Premi were both experienced, knowledgeable guides (and fun, too). Here are my top reasons why we liked Gspot: Damian was responsive - answering my endless questions pretty quickly They were on time for our scheduled pick-up We felt like we were on personalized adventures and in good hands (safety first). Plus, we had the added bonus surprise of receiving beautiful nighttime photos that neither one of us was equipped to take on our own.Written 16 January 2020
- George3d60 contributionsamazing looking off-the-beaten-pathThey knew where to find some amazing looking off-the-beaten-path caves and they were very helpful in teaching me the basics of how to hike through them. Would certainly recommend, especially if you want a more "customized" tour than what most agencies around Iceland would probably provide.Written 8 September 2019
- Risto K0 contributionsCrazy elvesExcellent guide. Day was well planned and we saw different places where we wouldn't have otherwise been able to go. Cave voisit excellent. Highly recommended!!Written 28 June 2019

Incredible tour of the lava caves. Gear was provided to make sure I was comfortable to supplement my own head. The tour was very nicely adapted to my ability and interests, and travel plans. Felt much more local than a typical tourist attraction.
This trip far exceeded my expectations and I would strongly reccomend to anyone with a short time to visit Iceland. I definitely came away with memories I couldn't have gotten from a large tour.
