- hamishhk0 contributionsGone bust? AvoidWe purchased tickets from their website for a Kos to Bodrum ferry. We were told to go to the port to collect the tickets but the office was closed and we were told the business has gone bust. They have not responded to email and WhatsApp requests for refunds Avoid at all costsWritten 6 July 2024
- lillyg5530 contributionsThey cancelled the ferry and I was stranded on Rhodos with no help by themFerry was cancelled and I was stranded on Rhodos. I was informed by them on the day of the trip only. I didn't get any assistance by the agency nor this ferry company and I had to book a hotel by myself. O boy was that stressful! After sending a lot messages to them they offered me a ticket for the next available ferry on Friday. Now I'm trying to get the money for the hotel back and it is a fight. Bonus, the ferry they rescheduled me for was 40min late and I missed the long distance bus I booked and had to buy a new ticket!Written 1 May 2024
- keithbP2575RB0 contributionsAvoid Sky Marine Ferries day trip to Rhodes from FethiyeOk, after weighing up all the various booking options (booking agents etc), me and my friend `Zoran` decided to book a day trip from Fethiye to Rhodes on the 8/9/2023 online direct with Sky Marine Ferries for about £41 per person (good value) - we were staying in Calis Beach and took a taxi (roughly £10 or 365TL) to the port in Fethiye arriving nice an early at 7.00 am. Before booking online, we decide to check and ask questions via Sky Marines Ferries customer service agent named `Sabiha`to ask if we were subject to any port /passenger taxes at the port or on the ferry, and was told `NO`, when my friend showed his smart phone booking to a mature lady (wearing glasses) at the Fethiye port to be given our boarding passes and mentioning/showing `Sabiha` reply, we were told we still had to pay 60TL each (total 120TL) for the passenger/port taxes, and yet at the Sky Marine kiosk in the port of Rhodes (our return journey) on a notice plastered on the window (which my friend photographed) it basically said as from 1/9/2023 that none of these taxes would apply due to a local legislation agreement - many other passengers were also not happy about this (given its not highlighted very well on the website). When we returned to our Calis beach apartment, we sent a message via Whats app to `Sabiha` for a reply, but we did not recieve any reply message - so why lie? why did you not reply to our polite message? whats with the double standards? why are you treating customers with contempt? why are you conning tourists? why don`t you update your website with information about the actual cost of these port charges? when are you going to return our port tax money? and how? On the boat;- We thought we would be travelling on the `Ibiscus` ferry (as this was the fastest boat that normally travels to Rhodes as indicated on the website), but instead were put on an older ferry (green & white colour) but can`t remember the name of it which was disappointing, the seating was uncomfortable and the seats did not recline (which would have been a significant improvement) but the ride was fairly smooth but not as fast. On arriving at Rhodes port, because Im from the UK (british passport holders) I and others had to wait last to get through customs/passport control because we are no longer members of the awful EU = which made me laugh when one the port herders said it was Boris Johnsons fault, that said it was fairly ok getting through. The day itself;- I stayed in Rhodes (two weeks) way back in the early 80`s, but I must say that the castle/fort area has improved so much = lots of nice smart touristy shops/bars/restaurants etc if thats your thing, but with the short time you had in the resort, its not worth bringing any beach gear. On our return to Fethiye at 6.30pm; We had to wait in a queue for a further 50 minutes to get through customs, this in turn made us miss our sunset viewing ride via the water taxi return to Calis Beach by an hour = really annoying & disappointing to say the least. Overall I would say this trip is more of a endurance test rather than a nice day out (given the heat of 30 + degrees and the short time we had). Advice to Sky Marine Ferries; consider investing in a hydro-foil boat instead of a catamaran = much quicker and less tiring. Name; K BrockWritten 14 September 2023
- Chunkswow0 contributionsBit of a nightmare travelling.Overall, not a bad trip when we weren't on the boat or queueing at passport control. The coach collects you at your hotel, takes you to the harbour, where the queueing begins. Unbelievably slow getting through passport control, meaning we were about 40 mins late setting off, which eats into your day in Marmaris. Horrible trip across, ferry full of screaming unruly uncontroled kids, then you get to Marmaris, and guess what, More queues to get through passport control. Coach into town was laid on, however, you have to go to the gold factory, where they try to sell you gold at over inflated prices. Drop off in town is also the meeting point for coach pick up later. First you have to listen to the man trying to sell you his genuine fakes, then you walk away and go do your own thing. You're given a voucher for a restaurant round the corner which is very nice. Typical of every Turkish coach tour that I've been on countless times, you then get taken to a Turkish delight factory, so they can try to sell you more crap. Then it's back to the ferry, massive queues, nightmare crossing, then more queues. If you're OK with queues, this is for you, I'll just book a holiday to Turkey and avoid all the hassle.Written 26 April 2023
- LuanaGa0 contributionsVery quick!I took the Rodon boat by Sky Marine last week from Bodrum to Kos. Everything went smooth and very quick. I’ll choose it again for my next journey between Dodecanese and Turkey.Written 8 August 2022

Booked a trio from Kos to Bodrum leaving at 0945 hours and arriving in Bodrum at 1005 hours and then returning at 1630 hours the same day.
The ship, Rodon did not arrive and at 1030 hours a representative made an announcement that it was delayed due to Turkish authorities and that it should arrive in the next 30 minutes. He said as compensation we would get an extra hour in Turkey and the ship would leave at 1730 hours.
When the ship did land just before 1100 hours it was chaos. Passengers getting off the ship. Another ship boarding and us trying to get on our ship.
It left at 1101 hours and landed in Turkey at 1130 hours. Longer than the 20 minutes advertised. There was an announcement that the ship would be returning at 1700 hours.
So we arrived 90 minutes late and were given 30 minutes extra?
An absolute joke of a service and there's no way that I could recommend this to anyone. The representative blatantly lied about the extra time.

What are we crazy!!!!!
Let's start from the beginning because it was something far-fetched...
Go to the counter in Kos Town to buy the ferry ticket to avoid queues on the day of departure, they will give you a voucher to collect the tickets directly at the port the same morning... you arrive at the time indicated to you and you find an endless queue under the sun because there is a single queue both for those who have already purchased the ticket with the voucher and for people who instead have to make the complete purchase. From there you have to wait in another endless queue under the sun for passport controls... all this you buy on a ferry leaving from Kos at 10.15 am and returning from Bodrum at 5.00 pm... IF IT WERE TRUE!! Departed at 12.00 or so from Kos.. you arrive in Bodrum in 20" get off and always under the sun queue for kilometers for document checks at the port.. from there the bus is waiting for you to take you to the market which will pick you up later at 4.00 pm to take you back to port…
You arrive at the market and it's an experience to have!!! But the Turks try so watch out!!
We went to eat kebab in a nearby place, holy internet because we were being starved of €20 for the Lira Euro conversion (so always convert your accounts).
Once the whole tour is over we return to the port to take the ferry again... same process with the controls... But here comes the fun part!!!! 4 OF US LEFT BUT 2 OF US RETURNED!!
We arrive at the last step of document control, well... the 3rd world!!! The internet connection goes out so 2 have passed the check and are ready to board, 2 have not!!!
We were stuck at the port for 3 hours!!! Without anyone giving us any information of any kind, because it seems obvious to me that they don't even speak the ABC of ENGLISH in there... my 2 friends who had passed the control were forced to leave, escorted onto the ferry with the company staff who he shouted at him “quickly this is the last boat”. There was no news to us inside, not even that this was the last ferry to leave, much less what kind of death we were going to die! Only the Turks in the port who laughed in our faces and shrugged their shoulders!!!!! Only after we managed to return to Kos (precisely at 9.00 pm we were put on a mooring called a boat) did our friends tell us that there would be the possibility that we could have stayed in Bodrum that night and returned to Kos the next day, risking losing ourselves too. the return flight as happened to other people who were stuck at the port DUE TO THE LACK OF INTERNET CONNECTION

Thank you very much for the review however this has nothing to do with our company and our schedules . This is the problem of Immigration Offices in both countries . Our company executed the trip as per its obligation . No Airline is countable for Passport Control delay !! Is it ?
