For some reason, we had registered with another Viator provider and I did not realize we had two reservations. They were both made under Viator and I thought they were the same. I found this to be very confusing and we could not take two separate tours at the same time. I believe your company should have been able to see there were two reservations almost at the same time and could have contacted us. - 474phaedrad0 contributionsAthens, Acropolis and Parthenon History Lessons in a Half Day!Alex, our driver, started out by taking us to key spots throughout Athens such as the Olympic Stadium. His knowledge of the history of each location was impressive! He let us jump out to take pictures too. From there he drove us up to the Acropolis where Becky, our official tour guide, took over. We walked away feeling like we knew things most people will never discover thanks to Becky's knowledge and way of explaining it all. It helped us put the pieces of this architectural wonder and history together in a way we never could have done on our own! She then took us back to Alex for additiinal city history and concluded back at our hotel. Thank you Becky and Alex! Best tour ever!Written 2 October 2024

First, myths and legends came alive for us at the Acropolis, where we first took the elevator & navigated the concrete sidewalks on top quite easily. It would’ve been most difficult a few years back with the very slippery and uneven rocks, but no worries now. Stunning views and better stories of the ancient Greeks and their gods! We then went a short walk to Monisteraki Square via the road of St. Paul to see the flea market, charming family restaurants, and quaint shops. We enjoyed a brief tour of Plaka before returning to one of her suggestions for lunch. Kelly’s beautiful personality, and smile warmly greeted us to our first trip to Athens! We learned a lot, the pace and duration of the tour were excellent, and we were able to avoid the crowds. I highly recommend booking this tour 7:30 or 7:45 to avoid the cruise ship crowds. Our incredible guide was super knowledgeable of the museum and the acropolis. The stories she told us were fascinating and it kept the tour interesting and never dull.
