Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, a beloved Catholic pilgrimage place, and then explore Batalha, Nazaré, and Obidos, a series of picturesque towns and pretty villages. This tour combines the convenience of prebooked transport from Lisbon with the freedom to explore each destination on your own, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Batalha Monastery, the cliffs of Nazaré, and Obidos’ charming medieval center.
What to Expect
Board a climate-controlled vehicle in Lisbon for the trip to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, where you can learn the story of the three shepherd children who reported a sighting of the Virgin Mary in 1917.
From there, head to the coast, stopping to explore the UNESCO-listed Batalha Monastery along the way. Enjoy free time for lunch in Nazaré and then get sweeping views of the sea from O Sítio, perched high above the coastal cliffs.
In medieval Obidos, wander winding streets lined with castle walls and handicraft shops, pausing to sample some ginjinha, the region’s distinctive cherry liqueur. This tour is a great option for independent travelers, and the knowledgeable driver can share tips on where to eat, drink, and explore before returning to Lisbon.

Four different places visited in one trip, including of course the highlight... Fatima. This tour is well worth the price! Ask for Filipe as a guide... he is excellent!

This day-long trip has something for everyone, and Igor was an amazing guide for our family. From the energy of Fatima (regardless of your religion), to the out of the way gothic majesty of Batalha, to the "California coast" of Nazare, to the walled city...More
